F1 Manager 2022 is the official racing management simulation game of the 2022 Formula One World Championship developed and published by Frontier Developments. It is the first installment in the F1 Manager series and the first officialy licensed Formula One Group game since F1 Manager by EA Sports, and holds an official license of Formula One's 2022 season, as well as the 2022 Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships. The game is scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2022.
Gameplay
As a racing management game, F1 Manager 2022 will offer a more detailed career layer in comparison to the My Team mode that Codemasters introduced in F1 2020.[1]
Development and release
F1 Manager 2022 was officially announced in March 2022.[2] It is the first video game in the F1 Manager series, which holds the official license of the Formula One, Formula 2, and Formula 3 championships from 2022 to 2025.[3] It is also the first Formula One licensed management game since F1 Manager of EA Sports in 2000.[4] The game is developed and published by Frontier Developments, a British video game developer known for titles such as Elite Dangerous, Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo, and Jurassic World Evolution.[5] The game is set for release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2022.[6]
F1 Manager 2022 has confirmed the following features:
- Poaching staff from Formula One, Formula 2, and Formula 3 teams.
- Drivers can be signed from Formula One, Formula 2, or Formula 3.
- Facilities can be upgraded.
- The game will feature realistic camera angles based on those used for the real races.
- It will feature a true to life broadcast presentation with realistic TV graphics.
- Regulation changes can happen and affect the season.
- It will feature real life team radio from real Formula One drivers and staff
- Onboard cameras used In real life by real Formula One teams.
- Red flags will be included.
