Template:Disputed title This is a partial list of the local underground newspapers launched during the Sixties era of the hippie/psychedelic/youth/counterculture/New Left/antiwar movements, approximately 1965-1972, in the US and abroad. This list includes periodically appearing papers of general countercultural interest printed in a newspaper format, and specific to a particular locale. Papers started after 1973 are included in List of alternative weekly newspapers.
