College of Engineering and Management, Kolaghat (CEMK) is a engineering college located in KTPP Township, Kolaghat, West Bengal. The college was established in the year of 1998. Courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
The institute is noted for its strong academic foundations and ranks as one of the top engineering colleges in the state of West Bengal. The Computer Science and engineering department is the best with highest intake, Best Placements, Very Innovative and meritorious students, Highly experienced faculty members as well as technical assistants.
It has a campus area of 32 acres (130,000 m2) and is fully residential for faculty and staffs. The college offers full-time engineering programs leading to four-year B.Tech degree from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology formerly known as(WBUT).[3]
The college started with affiliation to Vidyasagar University, but in 2001 when MAKAUT was formed, CEMK came under its roof.[4]
History and administration
The college was established in 1998 by the Vidyasagar Society for Integrated Learning, Kolkata. Professor S.K. Sen, former vice-chancellor of Jadavpur University, a doyen of engineering education and ex-minister-in-charger of Power, Science and Technology and Non-conventional Energy Sources, Government of West Bengal is associated with the college as its advisor[5].

Infrastructure
Facilities includes the administrative building, library, workshops, boys and girls' hostels, play fields, and staff quarters in the initial stage. The college has an ATM,a hospital,a bank and a market near the campus. The College is going to install 100 Mbps optical fiber connectivity to each hostel for each student[8].
