Canadian Championship

The 2020 Canadian championship has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Quarter-finals

Toronto FC was to enter the Canadian Championship in the quarter-final round along with Cavalry FC, Montreal Impact, and the Vancouver Whitecaps. They were to play the winner of the qualifying round matchup between Toronto-based clubs York9 and Master's FA.[21] However, the pandemic has caused the postponement and modification of the tournament. Master's FA will no longer participate in 2020, and the new format is unknown.[22]

Leagues Cup

Toronto FC was set to compete for the first time in the Leagues Cup after not qualifying the CONCACAF Champions League and finishing in fourth place in the Eastern Conference during the 2019 regular season. They were to host a club from Liga MX in Mexico and entered the draw as the fifth seeded MLS team.[23] The tournament was cancelled on May 19, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[24]
