Bijoynagar (Bengali: বিজয়নগর) is an upazila of Brahmanbaria District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Geography

Bijoynagar is located at 24°01′16″N 91°16′47″E / 24.0211°N 91.2797°E / 24.0211; 91.2797 . It has 37,977 households and a total area of 185.8 km2 (72 sq mi).

Administration

Bijoynagar has 10 unions/wards, 168 mouzas/mahallas, and 230 villages. Champaknagar is the biggest city of this upazila and is also an union. The most well known[how?] educational institute of this upazila, Kazi Mohammad Shafiqul Islam University College is located at Islampur.
