Gailes is a suburb in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.[2]

History

The origin of the suburb name is from the Western Gailes Golf Course in Ayrshire, Scotland as it was the name given to the local Gailes Golf Club. Previously the area was named Dingo Hill.[2]

Transport

Gailes railway station provides access to regular Queensland Rail City network services to Brisbane, Ipswich and Rosewood via Ipswich.
