Molotes

Molote is a filled corn-based pastry from Mexican cuisine. It consists in a dough made from a mixture of corn masa and mashed potatoes, which is filled with shredded beef stew, shaped into an oval shape and fried in plenty of lard or oil. There are regional versions of this appetizer presenting differential nuances and fillings.
