Portchester railway station is situated to the east of Fareham in Hampshire, England. It was first opened by the LSWR in 1848 on their line from Fareham to Portsmouth.

Services

Portchester station is located on the West Coastway Line which runs between Brighton and Southampton. It is now served by South West Trains and has services to Portsmouth Harbour, Southampton and London Waterloo. Southern run two trains an hour, one each way though the station, going to Southampton and Victoria.

The typical off-peak service is:

  • South West Trains
    • 1tph (train per hour) to London Waterloo
    • 1tph to Southampton Central
    • 2tph to Portsmouth & Southsea with 1 tph continuing to Portsmouth Harbour

A roughly half-hourly serivice exists with South West Trains to Fareham, Cosham, Hilsea, Fratton & Portsmouth & Southsea
