The 12135 / 36 Pune Nagpur Express is a Superfast express train belonging to Indian Railways - Central Railway zone that runs between Pune Junction and Nagpur Junction in India.

It operates as train number 12135 from Pune Junction to Nagpur Junction and as train number 12136 in the reverse direction serving the state of Maharashtra.

Coaches

The 12135 / 36 Pune Nagpur Express has 1 AC 2 tier, 4 AC 3 tier, 12 Sleeper Class, 2 General Unreserved & 2 Sitting cum Luggage Rack Coaches. It does not carry a Pantry car coach [1].

The 12135 / 36 Pune Nagpur Express runs from Pune Junction via Daund Junction, Manmad Junction, Bhusaval Junction, Badnera Junction, Wardha Junction to Nagpur [3].

It reverses direction of travel at Daund Junction.

Traction

As sections of the route are yet to be fully electrified, a Pune based WDM 3A locomotive [4] hauls the train from Pune Junction until Manmad Junction handing over to a Ajni based WAP 7 locomotive [5] which then powers the train for the remainder of its journey.

Operation

12135 Pune Nagpur Express runs from Pune Junction every Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday reaching Nagpur the next day.

12136 Nagpur Pune Express runs from Nagpur Junction every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday reaching Pune Junction the next day.
