The School of Management (SM), NIT Rourkela (Template:Lang-hi) was started in the year 2010 with Masters in Business Administration. The Phd. programme was started in the year 2011, which was later funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (India).[1]

Campus

The main campus is located 9 km from the heart of Rourkela located in sector 1, Rourkela. The campus is spread over an area of 645 acres (2.61 km2).

Residential facilities are provided for students and staff on the campus, including a hospital, a Hindu temple, post and telegraph services, a telecom center, a State Bank of India branch with ATM facility, a reprographic center, a swimming pool, canteens and co-op stores.[2]

GrapeVine Club

GrapeVine Club stands on the pillars of societal commitments, entrepreneurial spirits, and cultural magmas. As a part of its continuous endeavour to instil in the principles of management various group program's are organized in the department.

Events

School of Management along with Business Standard had organized a national level business quiz competition on 5 November 2014. For this students were asked fifty questions based on general awareness of business.

Recent Conferences

In the month of December 2014 the school of management Organized International conference on Business Paradigms in Emerging Markets.[3] Where notable guest like Richard Lynch professor of Strategic Management from Middlesex University, London, England and Neharika Vohra professor of Organizational Behavior from IIM Ahmedabad were invited. The International conference held for 2 days with around 150 paper presentation from participants and delegates of notable colleges and Industry.[4]
