Wrestlers Managed[edit]

Varon managed Too Cool in 2000 in the WWF. Grand Master and Scotty should be added to her Wrestlers managed section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.201.182.142 (talk) 23:51, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Training Background[edit]

I've added Finlay to the list, who has trained Victoria and the other Raw divas from around 2002-2003. Rob Conway, Nick Dinsmore and Randy Orton have also been added since they trained her in OVW, which has been mentioned in a recent interview posted on weforums along with one of the Byte This archive episodes.

Fixed the links for Finlay (Dave Finlay), Eugene (Nick Dinsmore) and shifted the link for Molly Holly from Molly_Holly to Nora_Greenwald so it doesnt have to redirect. Creol 23:55, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Victoria's Weight[edit]

Please stop altering Victoria's weight from 155 lbs. to 136. She has recently mentioned in an interview that she now weighs 155 pounds.

Injuries[edit]

Victoria did NOT injure Jazz with her savate kick during the battle royal that Gail Kim won. Jazz was already injured (btw, in her shoulder, no where near her face).

Picture[edit]

Can some one get a newer, better picture? Angli Cado Primoris

I second this, that pic is messed up.

Sources[edit]

Can we please get some sources for this article? I'm reading through it all with a critical eye after the dust-up over the Ron Jeremy article and this article is seriously lacking. I wish to point out to you Jimbo Wales's comments (from here):

This is looking at the problem incorrectly. Blanking the page is better than doing nothing. Better still, would be to go through and remove the problematic information. The worst thing would be to do nothing. I would rather than we have a nearly blank article of information that we can verify, than a long article of unsourced and unprovable nonsense. I have said more on the talk page.--Jimbo Wales 07:37, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Thank you folks. Tabercil 00:49, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia[edit]

Is it really necessary to add that Eddie Guerrero's life nor his slow music lasted long? Is it relevant to put it on Lisa's page or is it even right to put it up at all? If it has to stay, I say it needs rewording.--Captain Capatilism 11:39, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Busted Nose[edit]

At last nights July Friday 13th edition of Smackdown Torrie Wilson accidentally kicked Varon in the nose. It is unknown if Varon's nose is busted or minorly injured. Darius 21:37, 14 July 2007 (UTC)DariusDarius 21:37, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Legal name[edit]

Okay she had her name leaglly changed sometime in her life for personal reasons (I think it was changed to Varon from Sole or something) so should this be mentioned or documented on her page?(MgTurtle 04:09, 9 August 2007 (UTC)).[reply]

LEGAL NAME

I believe there should be a correction to her name because the name (Varon) is her married name not her birth name, so whereever there is a Varon it should be change to Sole

Jazyy 04:10, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Perhaps. But there's one problem with making it Sole throughtout: she's best known with Varon as her last name. So at some point in the article you'll have to transition to referring her to Varon. Tabercil 04:56, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Black Widow[edit]

Under the moves list section, shouldn't black widow be a sit-out inverted face buster instead of a powerbomb. Especially in the games, she delivers them face-first. Lee 17:01, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Pre-GA review[edit]

I'm going through the article to address any concerns before the article is nominated. As always, I find it to be well-written. I tend to be picky, though, so I'll list anything here that I can't fix on my own. I've only gone through to the end of the bodybuilding section, so I'll add to this list as I go.

  1. "she later moved to Los Angeles to try and do news fitness segments for television" - I would prefer to see a stronger verb than "do". It would also be nice to complete the thought by saying something like "to try to find employment ______ news fitness segments..." (sorry, but I can't think of a good verb right now).
Done I completely reworded the sentence and divided it in two. Nikki311 17:20, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  1. "She also knew Trish Stratus through fitness competitions and in 1999, she earned her International Federation of BodyBuilders Professional Fitness Card..." - These seem like two very different thoughts that don't belong in the same sentence.
 Done Nikki311 22:32, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is a start for now. I'll give some more feedback as I get the chance. Hope this helps, GaryColemanFan (talk) 05:51, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Follow-up: I managed to make it through the rest of the article. I made a few minor changes, but I didn't see any real problems. My only question is whether WWE Talent Scout Bruce Pritchard is the same as Bruce Prichard. If so, the spelling should be changed and it should be wikilinked. If not, I can't see anything else that needs to be mentioned. GaryColemanFan (talk) 20:49, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The source spells his name as "Pritchard" but it could be a typo. If Bruce Prichard was in fact a talent scout during that period of time then it most likely is the same person. - Deep Shadow 21:36, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Split Up[edit]

I heard that Victoria split up with Steven Richards by kicking him in the face and giving him a widows peak. Is that right? Lee. 15:08, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Managers[edit]

Shouldn't Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle and Mickie James be under her list of wrestlers she has had manage her, seeing as Torrie and Candice were with her in her matches against Trish Stratus, and Mickie James once managed her in her match against Beth Phoenix.

No. Wilson and Candice were stablemates, which is different than being a manager. Also, one time managers aren't notable enough to mention. Nikki311 19:33, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stevie Richards managed Victoria on multiple occaisions shouldn't he be in that list?. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.137.85.183 (talk) 08:40, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marital Status?[edit]

Does anyone know what her marital status is? I see that she changed her name from stole to Varon, and I see at least one source saying she is married to a man nameed Alex. Her myspace sets her status as In a relationship. Any concrete proof? Wiki answers states that she is divorced, and in a relationship, Imdb reports her as married to Lee Varon since 1998 Sephiroth storm (talk) 01:56, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Retirement rumor[edit]

This section has been removed a few times, personally I believe it should be included. "It has been reported that Victoria is considering retirement from wrestling." The editor states that it should be removed because: "but it is just speculation whether she will or not"

IMO, the information is valid, and has a source, Per her Myspace blog: Tuesday, October 07, 2008

Long Time, No Blog...

Hey MySpacers !!!

How have you been? It's been a long time since my last MySpace bulletin. Sorry, but I have been soooooooooo busy.

I have a lot going on. First, the new and improved Black Widow Customs website is going up in the next week or so. It is www. black-widow-customs. com . Right now, it is the old welcome page, but just wait till you see the finished product. I am soooo excited. I hope everyone else likes it as much as I do.

Things are going very well at the shop, which I am very thankful for in this economy. We also worked on cars for two WWE Superstars, which you will see when the website goes up.

I have been doing my best to lay the Smackdown every Friday night. I hope everyone followed us to MyNetwork. Again, I am very thankful to have had a long and successful WWE career. Although between you and me, I think I have one more championship run left before I hang up the wrestling boots. What do you think?

Now I understand where the editor is coming from, but the information, as it is presented is not speculation, it is encyclopedic information, informing readers that this has been reported. It does not claim that she will retire. Thoughts and input would be appreciated. Sephiroth storm (talk) 03:10, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Everyone retires eventually (or dies) so her saying that she will retire is not noteworthy. If she had a definite time period then maybe. Besides the way the information is presented in the blog, it doesn't even indicate that it will happen in the near future. Nikki311 03:55, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
98.21.215.5 (talk) 22:07, 16 January 2009 (UTC) Can someone clean up the Victoria retirement section? Part of it's horribly written and it seems like it's written like a spoiler for a wrestling website rather than an encyclopedic article and it's not well thought out.[reply]

Knee brace?[edit]

Why has she worn a knee brace for over 7 years now? Contributions/66.177.9.29 (talk) 17:37, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because she suffered a torn ACL and never had surgery. Stone Cold Steve Austin (who had well documented problems with his knees) advised her to wear a knee brace and avoid going "under the knife" unless it was neccessary. Raphie (talk) 10:29, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This should definitely be mentioned in the article somewhere. 89.240.64.146 (talk) 21:51, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Really? She HAS Turkish descent?[edit]

Well, the refs for that are now dead, and I didn't find another verifiable cites about her descent. Also, if she is really Turkish, she could be the first modern Turkish pro-wrestler before the Germany-born Turk Murat Bosporus. OnurT 20:22, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'll remove the dead cites and replace with Template:citation needed tag if anyone don't reply this. OnurT 01:20, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

7 time champion[edit]

The last line in her opening introduction says she is a 7 time champion, 2 time WWE women's champ, 4 time KO champ & 1 time KO tag champ. They shouldnt be added up, she is a 6 time over all women's champion, & a one time tag champion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.24.221.54 (talk) 05:30, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No move. Evidence was presented that "Lisa Marie Varon" is well established; no evidence was presented that the proposed name is more common. Cúchullain t/c 15:49, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lisa Marie VaronVictoria (wrestler) – She's mostly known for her 10-year career as Victoria in WWE, not her independent run a few years later. This is a clear case of most common name. Feedback 00:21, 23 April 2016 (UTC) --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 23:26, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In wrestling move set[edit]

Whomever edited the "in wrestling" section of Lisa Marie Varon's Wikipedia page, DO NOT remove text that has reference sources in them. I reverted it back to the way it was in June 2016, so please DO NOT undo this, as every line has reference sources linked to them and there is no need to remove anything. Thank you. Removing sourced references from text is against the guidelines, so to those who keep removing them, especially since a lot of those sources come from WWE.com itself, please refrain from doing this as to not cause any abuse of such editing. Thank you.
