Nickname

[edit]

It says in the introduction that he's nicknamed "Ago". I think it shouldn't say that it means "needle" in italian because "Ago" is merely a common shortening of that (quite common) surname without any reference to the word "ago" meaning "needle". There's no pun intended with that shortening in italian.

Orphaned references in Giacomo Agostini

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Giacomo Agostini's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "auto":

  • From Valentino Rossi: Archived at Ghostarchive and the Wayback Machine: #RacingTogether: MotoGP™ comes back to Austria. 10 August 2016 – via YouTube.
  • From Italy: Sée, Henri. "Modern Capitalism Its Origin and Evolution" (PDF). University of Rennes. Batoche Books. Archived from the original (PDF) on 7 October 2013. Retrieved 29 August 2013.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. Feel free to remove this comment after fixing the refs. AnomieBOT 17:18, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect it is supposed to be this one:
"Former TT star Phil Read is recovering from Covid-19 virus". Iomtoday.co.im. 2 May 2020.
from Phil Read. So I've updated the article accordingly. DH85868993 (talk) 22:44, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
