The series was first announced on September 14, 2020, and premiered on November 18, 2020, to coincide with Mickey's 92nd birthday.[2]
From November 18 to December 18, 2020, Disney+ premiered two shorts a week. A further ten shorts premiered on July 28 until August 25, 2021.[3][4][5]

Reception
Common Sense Media rated the show 3 out of 5 stars, stating: "The characters are put in different outlandish scenarios from one episode to the next and play versions of themselves that maintain their relationships and personalities. Familiar foes arrive on scene to cause trouble, but injuries are quickly remedied and accidents rarely amount to any realistic harm."[7]
