You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Aardman logo.svg

Thank you for uploading File:Aardman logo.svg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 08:54, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I nominated this as the file that you have uploaded is an svg file and thus not low resolution which is required for non-free use. The png in previous use on the article was low res and I have re-instated it. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 16:36, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

List of Disney theatrical animated features

FYI, regarding this revert of yours, I noted these issues at User talk:TheRealFennShysa#List of Disney theatrical animated features, without any response from that user. --Mepolypse (talk) 13:01, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The conversation has been moved to Talk:List of Disney theatrical animated features#The revert war if you're interested. --Mepolypse (talk) 13:53, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for noting me about this conversation. It looks like that you and admin will resolve all the issues. Except for date format. I think that dates in ISO would help in readability and aesthetics of the article, but it seems like that this is not admin's main interest :) Carniolus (talk) 15:17, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, all seems to have been resolved now. Not that I think it should be relevant, but I don't think User:Robsinden is an admin. The icons at the top of their user page are for reviewer and rollback rights. As for the date format, I personally prefer ISO dates (it's what I use outside of Wikipedia, and what I had as a Wikipedia setting before the date unlinking led to the removal of the ability to customize date formats). That said, I can certainly imagine that users who are unaccustomed to the ISO format may find it confusing, the same way I may find "XX/YY/ZZ" date formats confusing. "XX Month YYYY" formats with written-out month names have the advantage that they should not confusing to anyone. While I don't know for sure, I can imagine that the reason WP:MOSDATE#Dates allows for ISO dates is that in some tables the amount of horizontal space is severely confined. In such cases a compact format may be needed, and the ISO format may be the best of the compact formats from a global perspective. On this article, while the dates are indeed in a table, the table columns are not width-confined. Looking at WP:MOSDATE now, I note that it specifically notes that edit warring over date formats is discouraged (in the second paragraph). As such, I think it is best to leave the date format as it is now. --Mepolypse (talk) 17:13, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I agree that ISO dates are confusing to some people, especially to non-technical kind. And to those who try to follow the rules in English prose. I see English wiki as international/referential site, and believe that more international rules should be followed.
I've changed dates to ISO on some other animation pages, where they also got some negative welcome. To avoid further wars I will eventually change them back to the old system.
Regarding compactness of ISO format, I think that compact dates should be welcomed in every table, because tables don't scale well and every overflown text just breaks the table. That is especially problem on low resolution screens and phones. Carniolus (talk) 18:15, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The "Day & Night" picture.

It was brought to my attention that you uploaded File:Day & Night poster.jpg, a picture for use on the article Day & Night (2010 film). I already had a picture for that article: File:Day & Night title card.jpg Why did you upload a completely different file instead of uploading a new version of File:Day & Night title card.jpg? Did you do it because you wanted the filename to read "poster" and not "title card"? I bring this up because it sort of bothers me whenever a picture I've uploaded is slated for deletion, even if it is for a good reason. Please respond. -dogman15 (talk) 06:03, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded it under the "poster" name because that is its accurate name, but mainly to make it easier to find on wiki/external search engines and for re-use on other language wikis. --Carniolus (talk) 06:46, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Films still untitled??

The link http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/20/pixar-announces-two-new-films_n_932198.html?ir=Entertainment reveals the titles Dinosaurs and Inside the Brain for Pixar's 15th and 16th films. You are saying, however, that they are still untitled. What did I interpret wrong when I read the link?? Georgia guy (talk) 20:51, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yup. It says: "...revealing only the names of those in charge of their production and basic log lines for each". Those are just made up names for quick film description. Even tweets on the official Pixar's account haven't revealed any titles yet. --Carniolus (talk) 20:58, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I noticed you removed the Misha B casting speculation because it didn't have a source. If this is confirmed, let's go ahead and add it back in. Currently it's just speculation, so there's no need for it. Thanks. --TravisBernard (talk) 17:18, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. Yeah, I removed her because she didn't have a source, and I didn't bother to check it myself. Now, I've looked her up, and it seems that it is confirmed that she has been offered a role and a song. It isn't exactly an official confirmation, but it wouldn't be inaccurate if the removed information is returned to the article, this time with source.--Carniolus (talk) 18:49, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited List of animated feature films: 2007, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Chris Miller and Sean McNamara (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

How come on Owen Wilson's Wikipedia page it say he was doing Season 3-? --173.73.61.241 (talk) 16:31, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Then it must be wrong, because the credits says it was Ferguson. You can check it up yourself with this video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzC3Wm2MSTM, at 5:11.--Carniolus (talk) 16:39, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, now I've actually checked Owen's wiki and it says he is voicing Season 3, except "Air Mater". Well, I haven't seen any source yet that would confirm this claim. --Carniolus (talk) 16:50, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at List of Pixar films shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Lihaas (talk) 19:02, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The rumor said "Disney's Tarzan is coming back to theaters in 2014 in 3D!" Take a look at the rumor!!!

Stephen Parry in disneyvault.net said "I stumbled across this poster while browsing the net, which to me seems like a very legit Disney poster for a possible re-release of the 1999 Walt Disney Feature Animation Tarzan. It follows along a very similar style and design for Pixar’s Finding Nemo 3D and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast 3D.

With no official confirmation from Walt Disney Pictures or any details anywhere! I can only say that don’t get your hopes up too high until we hear from Disney. So far Disney have announced their 3D re-release schedule for 2012/2013, so the earliest that we could see Tarzan 3D would be 2nd or 3rd week of January 2014." That's what he said and it's not a lie!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.208.204.83 (talk) 13:37, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rumours are not reported on Wikipedia. Only verifiable facts. On Disney Vault (http://disneyvault.net/rumour-is-disney-re-releasing-tarzan-in-3d/) it is written: "Check out the official or very well done fan poster below", which does not confirm if the poster is real. It is also written: "so the earliest that we could see Tarzan 3D would be 2nd or 3rd week of January 2014", which is also a guessing and does not confirm release year. --Carniolus (talk) 13:52, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I ALREADY LOOKED!!!! It's not a lie and IT WILL COME OUT!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.3.178.57 (talk) 11:46, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You mean it was all a lie!?! I don't think so. it's true!! Disney told ME AND MY FAMILY!! Tarzan will come back out in 3D in 2014!

Fine. Then, please provide a reliable source.--Carniolus (talk) 12:09, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Dragons: Riders of Berk (season 1)

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Dragons: Riders of Berk (season 1). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - List of Dragons: Riders of Berk episodes. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of Dragons: Riders of Berk episodes - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Rorshacma (talk) 18:07, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Toy Story (franchise) RT scores.

Hi there, always happy to see your contributions. I'm unsure why my RT scores update was reverted. I followed the links/references in the article and got the numbers found in my edit. RT has fewer top critics now then when the films were released and TS2 has more reviews. Cowlibob (talk) 17:49, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I don't know why, but most of your counts of top critics are way different than what I can see on RT. For example http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/toy_story_2/. I can see that TS2 has 37 Top Critics reviews. Your number was 17 reviews. Here is screenshot taken from that site: http://i46.tinypic.com/153790m.png. Also, the number of reviews on http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/toy_story_2/reviews/?type=top_critics is again 37. It is similar with other films (Ice Age..). Again, I can't say why is there such a difference. I only assume that it must be something with your settings on RT (if you are logged-in there).--Carniolus (talk) 19:14, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That’s just strange. I cleared my cache etc., started a new browser session and followed your link for toy story 2 RT. This is what I see for all critics(161): http://minus.com/leR1Hg0CfIepJ and when I click on top critics(17): http://minus.com/lcyiu8FANzWUN. This is what I see at the bottom of the page: http://minus.com/lbunvc7zx5mZC9.
When I google Toy Story 2 rotten, I get this at the top of the page: http://minus.com/lcRmuZJthcCLa.
The nearest approximation I can see for your count is this archive from June 2011: http://web.archive.org/web/20110604203350/http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/toy_story_2/ .
All(148): http://minus.com/l2o6BB86S98yp Top(30): http://minus.com/lQi4PSmneSm9b.
I followed your link of the list of top critics for TS2 and I count 17 with LA times, Jan. 2000 being the earliest review and CNN, August, 2012 being the latest.
This is what I see for Ice Age 3 from this link: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1194515-ice_age_dawn_of_the_dinosaurs/ . All critics(158): http://minus.com/lXFxXoPnqu39C and Top Critics(13): http://minus.com/lle9ini9RYlyk.
This is what I see at the bottom of the page: http://minus.com/lbnfcuSH5cdkYe .
The nearest approximation I can see for the numbers found in the Ice Age (franchise) is this archive from May 2011:
http://web.archive.org/web/20110511145430/http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1194515-ice_age_dawn_of_the_dinosaurs/
All(153): http://minus.com/lGyTx7F5OBY6q Top(33): http://minus.com/lz7zg60W1avX9.
For Ice Age 3, I see 13 top critics on this link: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1194515-ice_age_dawn_of_the_dinosaurs/reviews/?type=top_critics . With Variety, June 22, 2009 being earliest and the latest being Time Out, July, 2009.
As far as I can tell RT has only cut the number of top critics in the last year or so. Sorry for the long reply, just wanted to make sure you had as much info as possible.
Cowlibob (talk) 13:38, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. First, thanks for your proofs and effort you invested into solving this problem. I think I know what causes the differences. Wiki says this about the Top Critics (Wikipedia:Review_aggregators#Limitations):
"The section's overall score may also differ depending from where in the world Rotten Tomatoes is accessed. This is because a query may redirect a reader to a local English language site (such as uk.rottentomatoes.com in the United Kingdom and au.rottentomatoes.com in Australia) and the Rotten Tomatoes staff is given some subjective control in selecting "Top Critics", allowing for different make-up on different local sites."
I've visited the Ice Age 3 RT site with UK proxy, which masks me as if I was coming from the UK, and I also got 13 Top Critics: http://anon-proxy.co.uk/index.php. I'm guessing that this is what you are seeing.
To see the US/'other parts of the world' version, you can check RT with http://www.proxyus.org/. The US version has 33 Top Critics.
I don't know which version is better as this is the English wiki and not the US or the UK wiki, but I believe that the US ratings of Top Critics are little more accurate than the UK, as the US version has more reviews. Even wiki in the above link says: "The "Top Critics" section on Rotten Tomatoes is a smaller sample size and may be statistically inaccurate." Since I have't seen any guidelines for RT, I suggest that we use the US version. I know that it would make troubles for some editors, but it would mean less corrections as there are more US/other visitors.
--Carniolus (talk) 14:58, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see. Thanks for looking into this. I'll try to fix any RT scores changes I may have made so that they are in line with US.Cowlibob (talk) 19:57, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I finally had a chance to look up the reason for the orphaned image alerts, and have noticed that you originally relocated the information on the above page to the movie article. The reason you gave was that it wasn't extensive enough for its own article.

Articles are not kept or moved based on extensiveness. They are based on notability. Additional information exists at the movie article that makes the album in itself notable (after all, how many soundtracks get pulled from the market for four years over legal issues?), and thus, the album is notable enough to have its own article. It's actually rather sad that some of this information never existed in the main article, and I am thinking the ONLY reason it got merged in the first place was because Hoodwinked! became a Featured Article Candidate.

So I am challenging your merge as there was no discussion on it at all. The information that is at Hoodwinked! could easily be moved to the soundtrack article.

Of note, the only reason I'm reacting to this now is because I got orphaned image alerts for an image I uploaded and added to the article back in 2009. CycloneGU (talk) 17:47, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you have answered it yourself. At the moment of mine redirect, some information that can be found now in the film's article didn't existed in the main article or in the soundtrack article. (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hoodwinked_(soundtrack)&diff=487403669&oldid=479030961) In fact, it had two sentences, a list of tracks, and it was without any reference for almost four years. References make an article notable, and there were none. Also, WP:NALBUMS#Albums says: "Album articles with little more than a track listing may be more appropriately merged into the artist's main article or discography article, space permitting."
Now, the soundtrack section has a little more information and it has a few references. And an info about the legal dispute, which I don't think it was noted by any journalist or had any reaction on the internet. So, this dispute is not something that would make the soundtrack notable. And regarding "space permitting" guideline, current Hoodwinked article is so extensive that it can easily contain additional few lines.
Good example of an extensive soundtrack article is Up, and I don't believe that Hoodwinked's article can come close to something like this. Regarding your image, you can try to add it on the main article.--Carniolus (talk) 19:08, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I did try to add it to the main article, only to have it reverted shortly thereafter because it was too similar to the promotional poster. I've review Up later on (I know that film actually), I am expecting a phone call. CycloneGU (talk) 20:02, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Jeffrey Katzenberg, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Walt Disney Studios (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 11:18, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disney vector logos

Hi, Carniolus.

I'm here to applaud your work on uploading vector images for recent Disney logos including Disneynature, DisneyToon Studios, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, Walt Disney Records, Hollywood Records, Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone Pictures. Therefore, I'm here to ask you if you can upload a vector image of the Disney Music Group logo from the source you provided [1]. I would do it myself, but I'm not very technologically savvy when it comes to attaining images from PDF files, so I'm hoping you can do it just as you've done for some of the other logos.

Thank you! ~ Jedi94 (talk) 18:39, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you, too! Yeah, I've seen that logo, but I wasn't sure if it is OK since it differs from the current logo on the Disney website: http://waltdisneystudios.com/corp/unit/72. But I guess if it matches other logos like the ones on Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Walt Disney Pictures, and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, then it should not be too much wrong and misleading to add another similar one.
And, if you will see any kind of useful logo in pdf files, please tell me, and I'll upload it here.--Carniolus (talk) 19:24, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Will do! Keep up the great work.~ Jedi94 (talk) 01:21, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hotel Transylvania

Sony Pictures has teamed up with Hotel Transylvania Wiki. The head creators contacted the creator of the Wikia, and they are having merchandise give-aways, contests, and more. http://hoteltransylvania.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:JAlbor/Play_Hotel_Transylvania_Games_to_Win The creator of this blog is Wikia Staff.

Maybe it is true, but I cannot verify anything you said by looking at that wikia page. Wikia is by definition unreliable and cannot be a source by itself. Beside that, why is this team-up notable anyway? This kind of stuff must be going on all over the internet. Games are maybe notable, but they were originally posted on the official website.--Carniolus (talk) 16:16, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dragons Riders of Berk logo.jpg.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Same or different??

Every source I've checked suggests that the untitled fall 2015 film and the Dia de los Muertos film are the same. Where is YOUR source that they're different?? Georgia guy (talk) 14:52, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You said that your sources only "suggest" that they are the same, so you still don't have a confirmation.--Carniolus (talk) 14:55, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do you really think they are different?? Georgia guy (talk) 14:56, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, I also think they are the same, although there is a small chance that the untitled film is either Finding Nemo 2, some other unknown project, or maybe Pete Docter's film moved to a new date. But, it does not matter what I or you think. Wikipedia must provide a reliable source that supports the claim and leaves no doubts open to anynone who has no a priori knowledge about the matter.--Carniolus (talk) 15:32, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have a big concern that people will think that they are definitely different. Being mentioned that they're different in a list of Pixar films suggests that they are definitely different. Georgia guy (talk) 13:47, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I agree that it looks like that they are definitely different films, but this is a result of all available sources, which say that one is scheduled for November 25, 2015, and one for 2016. Even BOM, which is one of the most informed and accurate sites, has both films listed as different films: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/search/?q=pixar. I don't see any other way of presenting those two films that would not be based on unsupported assumptions, and I suggest that we wait for any additional news to clear this up. And happy New Year!--Carniolus (talk) 15:50, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
One additional thing has to be known, and that is that that page got its info directly from Pixar or a similar source and not via Wikipedia. Georgia guy (talk) 17:48, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Another comment: as for the phrase "wait for additional news" I'm sure that the next piece of news that clears up this will most likely be that a non-Pixar Disney movie will take the fall of 2015. Georgia guy (talk) 17:51, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Carniolus. I've come to your talk page with a request. Since you've done such a terrific job at locating PDFs and uploading SVGs of countless Disney logos, I thought you could upload an SVG logo for The Muppets. I'm not technically orientated, so I don't know what's necessary to extract such image. I have already found a PDF here that has the current logo. For reference, I recently uploaded the same logo (as a JPEG), but ever since I found the logo on the PDF version, I'd thought that it should be uploaded as a more appropriate SVG instead.

If you can do me this favor, I'd be much obliged! Thank you, ~ Jedi94 (talk) 03:11, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Sorry, but this logo is not stored in the vector format. If you zoom in you can see that it gets blurrier and blockier, which is not the case with vectors. In fact, this exact logo cannot be stored as a vector, because the letter "M" is too complicated to be described with geometrical shapes and gradients. I did a quick search and have found this pdf which does have a vector logo, but its colours and shadows are lost: http://iwatchmike.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/The-Muppets-Coloring-Sheets.pdf. The letter "M" can be coloured with approximate colours, but it won't be exactly the same as the official logo.... --Carniolus (talk) 10:19, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your insight. I'm not sure what to do now: keep the JPEG of the fully colored logo with shadows OR replace it and upload a vector of the black-and-white logo, much like the logo for Pirates of the Caribbean. What do you think? ~ Jedi94 (talk) 18:51, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would go for the vector logo. I wouldn't mind that it is a little different, because that's the case with vector logos. For example, Kung Fu Panda (franchise), Toy Story (franchise) or Ice Age (franchise) - all logos differ from the ones on their most recent films. For logo, I think, it is important that it is official and that it serves as a good enough identification for what it represents. I've applied custom colours to the vector logo (until the official ones are found), and I think that it comes close enough to the current one: http://oi47.tinypic.com/m79rtj.jpg --Carniolus (talk) 21:10, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's a perfect design! I think we should immediately replace the current one that I uploaded with your colored vector one. ~ Jedi94 (talk) 22:55, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I will upload the vector one.--Carniolus (talk) 23:10, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

mistake in citation of Terry Pratchett tweet

In this change you added a citation to a Twitter message saying "Raising Steam is not Raising Taxes." The message really says "But it's definitely not Raising Taxes..." It doesn't mention Raising Steam explicitly. [3]rybec 07:51, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, yeah, I just restored someone else's references, but I didn't check them enough. I will correct the wrong citation. Thanks for correction! I've also seen the discussion on your talk page, whether "Raising Taxes" and "Raising Steam" are two different novels. Tweets on the Terry Pratchett's twitter clearly say that they are different, they only need to be read together and in order as they were posted:
"The very moment Terry was about to exclusively announce the title of the next full-length adult Discworld novel..."
"But it's definitely not Raising Taxes..."
"(FX Drum Roll) The next Discworld novel will be... RAISING STEAM."
It seems that the first quote is important to correctly understand the second one, so I will also add it in the article in order to avoid any confusion.--Carniolus (talk) 10:12, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Big Hero 6

Hello, Carniolus. Thanks for addressing the fact that the Big Hero Six film is actually titled Big Hero 6. Unfortunately, instead of moving the page to that correct name, you redirected it to a new one. I've addressed the issue here, and hopefully it'll be resolved soon. Until then, we'll have to leave the original page that was created as Big Hero 6 (film adaptation) and then rename it to Big Hero 6 (film) when all said is done. Rest assured, your important contribution will not go unnoticed. Thank you, ~ Jedi94 (talk) 20:05, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I tried to move the original article to Big Hero 6 (film), but I was not allowed to do that because the page already existed. Actually, it was created in April 2013, so the only thing I could do, it was to copy/paste the content. I understand that you want to keep the history, so I agree with your efforts to move it together with the content. Anyway, I must thank you for creating this great written article!--Carniolus (talk) 20:26, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There was another created before? Wow, I wasn't aware of that. Anyway, let's hope that the issue is resolved quickly and thanks for the compliment! ;) ~ Jedi94 (talk) 20:35, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Wreck-It Ralph score CD cover.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Wreck-It Ralph score CD cover.jpg.

Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 21:04, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Despicable Me 2, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chris Renaud (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

TemplateData is here

Hey Carniolus

I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).

So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.

What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.

The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.

Planes voice cast

"The official website does not say who is voicing which character"

Yes it does; http://movies.disney.com/planes/about/cast-crew/

Although I admit, I goofed with the character names. Wikicontributor12 (talk) 21:34, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Aha. I only saw http://movies.disney.com/planes/characters/bravo-echo/, which could somewhat support your names. But that would be an assumption that the characters and actors are listed in the same order. --Carniolus (talk) 21:52, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

I made a fan-made CGI-animated movie called: "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker". The film would be released on April 15, 2016. It would be made by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment. I wish the film was real. I made the poster for the movie. My edit on Illumination Entertainment has been reverted by yourself.

Here's the link for more info about the movie: http://fantendo.wikia.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_The_Wind_Waker_(film)

GeoGuyFan2000 (talk) 16:07, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Great that you are so enthusiastic about the Zelda film, but Wikipedia is not the place for fan-made films. With such additions you only damage the Wiki's trustfulness and other contributors' work.--Carniolus (talk) 16:20, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I can only do fan-made movies on a fanon wiki or on my own wikis on Wikia. GeoGuyFan2000 (talk) 16:25, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and please let it stay that way. Most of your edits here are good, and it would be a shame if you would be banned for your fantasies. --Carniolus (talk) 16:39, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DisneyToon Studios

Thanks for fixing that formatting flub of mine. I've never seen a DisneyToon Studios film, so I wouldn't have known that. ;) ~ Jedi94 (talk) 21:14, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's Disney's fault. They should be more consistent with themselves. For example, they use in one document both versions: https://careers.disneyanimation.com/dts_listings/2013-08-08_dtsid_Director_Post_Production.pdf. --Carniolus (talk) 21:53, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

Hey, I've noticed that you seem like a credible editor on animation articles such as Dreamworks Animation and Blue Sky Studios. Is there anything we can do about an IP user, 68.4.42.174, who has made vandalism edits and has been threatening to get editors blocked using caps. Is there anything we can do abut this - I'm not that experienced in dealing with editors like this. Frogkermit (talk) 23:22, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Hm, 68.4.42.174 has no particularly bad edits. He mostly adds unsourced information and insists that the Penguins series ended in 2012, which is kind of true. Maybe you think 68.83.88.141 and 2601:c:780:537:d32:9d3d:d6ad:99, who seem to be the same person. 68.83.88.141 has a month long history of vandalic edits, so a warning or two more, and he will be banned. You can nominate him anytime here: WP:AIV.--Carniolus (talk) 10:05, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you're right, I did get the IP code wrong, the one you stated is right. Also, he seems to now have himself an account, PatrickMealeyFun, as this user makes the same threats and the exact same edits to the DreamWorks page. Frogkermit (talk) 18:48, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, if he continues with this kind of edits, he will be banned soon. But I am afraid that this won't stop him, as he accesses from at least 2 IP addresses. I think that a page protection would be more efficient action.--Carniolus (talk) 19:31, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
