Waste of time[edit]

When a page is moved from draft space to mainspace, it is a waste of time to apply a speey tag to the redirect created. There are thousands of such redirects and they are totally harmless.

Conversely redirects within mainspace should not be tagged for deletion. For example Chadayamangalam (Assembly constituency) has five incoming links to from mainspace. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:45, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Samajwadi Forward Bloc moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Samajwadi Forward Bloc, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Notice

The article Malethu Saraladevi has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks![edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Request reason:

I realise that I have abused my rights in Wikimedia Commons. Now I feel sorry for that. Sometimes, I have also misused the Wikipedia. But I have tried my level best to improve the Wikipedia by my contributions. I ask sorry for some abusive edits done by me. But I still want to improve Wikipedian articles in a sincere manner. So please unblock my account. I promise that I won't repeat my errors then. Sir, I won't use multiple accounts through IP then. So I humbly request to unblock this account.

Decline reason:

As per below. It's very clear you don't mean to improve Wikipedia. Yamla (talk) 16:56, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • You IP socked to take actions related to Zee TV subjects to restore UPE paid sock goals. You would log in and back out several times to make edits along these lines. Additionally, you logged out to attack another TV network competitor of Zee TV. Looks like you are part of UPE to me.
     — Berean Hunter (talk) 16:36, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have received your emails but I will discuss here with you publicly. Please see this section of policy, #4 first bullet point which states, "With the permission of the affected user". Do I have your permission to discuss your IP editing here?
     — Berean Hunter (talk) 14:29, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yes, you, Berean Hunter, have the permission to discuss my IP editing here.14:48, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, actually I was unaware of sock puppetry in those days. But now I am aware of it. I thought that there wouldn't be any problem when logged out. But now I realise it, sir. I won't repeat it. Sorry. Sir, if you unblock me, I won't repeat it.

You intentionally logged out to make many of these edits and would log back in again...that shows intentional deception. You still haven't answered why you did some of these edits. You will need to explain here and not in emails to me. You have the ability to file for unblock requests but you need to explain to the community.

Request reason:

Sir, in the case of Republic TV, even though it was my IP, the edit was not done by me. To overcome this, now I have changed my password. In the case of Zee TV, I haven't attacked the media. I just added the TV channel Zee Keralam in the templates and articles listing their channels. Zee Keralam is the Malayalam GEC of Zee enterprises. You may search for it on Google. And in those days, I was not aware of 'Sock Puppetry'. In the cases, you listed above, I don't need to attack the media. Because the articles such as Tirur (State Assembly constituency) and Tanur (State Assembly constituency) are created and developed by me. I have given the articles regarding the politics of Kerala several valuable contributions. I also see Malappuram district in the 'socking' listed above. Just compare the article Malappuram district before my edits and after. So you will understand that I was improving that article in a sincere manner. The only fault occured is that I was illiterate of 'sock puppetry' in those days. If you unblock me and give me a chance more, I will never edit Wikipedia being logged out. I can give valuable contributions to Wikipedia. So, please unblock me.

Decline reason:

CheckUser has access to more than just the IP address. "It was my IP but it wasn't me" thus is rather unconvincing. You also haven't addressed the specific points raised by Berean Hunter. Huon (talk) 02:15, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have received 13 emails from you and I told you above that I prefer to handle this here on this talk page. There is nothing in those emails that is private so you can state those things here. Do not send me any more emails or if you do, I will cut off your ability to send them. I have multiple things that I'm looking into and your request will take time as other admins will look at it and investigate. I don't feel that you have adequately explained who you claim to have accessed your system. Do you know who did this?
     — Berean Hunter (talk) 14:27, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I know. It was done by one of my close relatives. But I don't want to make it a huge problem. I have already said sorry to Wikipedia and changed the password to prevent it's repetition.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Amhm2018 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Sir, one of the arguments against me is that I edit logged out to attack Republic TV as "creating stories in their newsroom and spreading those lies all over the world" and "The channel has played a major role in transforming India into a cave of fake news"? My edit warred with another editor and caused that page to be semi-protected for vandalism as seen here. But in fact, even though it was my IP, the edit was not done by me. It was done by another user by misusing my system. I realize that I had to set a strong password for my system. To overcome this, now I have changed my password. Another argument is that I logged out to attack the template regarding the channels of the Essel group. It is true that I was logged out when I submitted the edit request. But what I requested to edit must be checked. I just requested to add the Zee Keralam channel in that template. Zee Keralam is the Malayalam channel introduced by the Essel group on 26 November 2018. In those days, I was not aware of 'Sock Puppetry'. In some of the cases listed above on my talk page, I don't have any need to attack the media. Because the articles such as Tirur (State Assembly constituency) and Tanur (State Assembly constituency) are created and developed by me. I have given the articles regarding the politics of Kerala several valuable contributions. Just compare the article Malappuram district before my edits and after. So you will understand that I was improving that article in a sincere manner, I was not destroying that article. Please understand the necessity of my request. I am not like any other blocked users. I have created a good plan to improve the Wikipedian articles regarding Kerala and Malayalam. But this unexpected block destroyed all of them. If you look at most of the edits done by me in a recent period, you will understand it. Please use your power as an admin effectively to open a golden chance for some incomplete articles in Wikipedia to be complete. I have already said sorry for some misuse of my IP. Now I have only one request. I joined Wikipedia just to improve some articles and to create some. I have created a masterplan too. Please allow me to complete it. The fault occurred is that I was illiterate of 'sock puppetry' in those days. I will never edit Wikipedia being logged out once more if you give me a chance more. I can give valuable contributions to Wikipedia. I don't have any panic feeling towards anybody. I am now well-convinced what lead to my block. And also I, now, understood that I have violated some of the policies of Wikipedia. I won't repeat it. Sir, I will never repeat the deeds that lead to this block. I ask sorry for those deeds which were against the policies of Wikipedia. If you unblock me, I will never repeat it. Moreover, I will utilize this golden opportunity to make more edits and articles just to improve Wikipedia, by studying, accepting and obeying all the rules and regulations of Wikipedia. I won't misuse my right to edit Wikipedia if anybody gives me one more chance. My mind is set to improve Wikipedia in a polite manner. I have improved and created several pages in Wikipedia in a constructive manner. But I had a weakness that I had not read the rules of Wikipedia very well. But now, due to this block, I read them. Now I can improve Wikipedia obeying all the policies of Wikipedia. So, I humbly request you to unblock me. I promise that if I get one more chance as an unblocked user in Wikipedia, I will give back many valuable contributions to the Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 13:43, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I promise that if I get one more chance as an unblocked user in Wikipedia, I will give back many valuable contributions to the Wikipedia.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Amhm2018 (talkcontribs) 14:14, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

No. You were just caught engaging in sock puppetry via Kp2021 (talk · contribs). You can request the standard offer in six months if you can go that long without any more sock puppetry or IP editing. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 21:27, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Notice

The article R. Ramachandran (Kerala CPI politician) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable politician

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Liz Read! If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Email[edit]

In response to your email, there are no grounds to consider lifting your block as you are  Confirmed to have been continuing to evade your block via logged-out editing, very recently. And WP:VANISH is only available to editors in good standing. I have revoked your email access as I see you've been emailing many users, presumably with the same or similar request. --Yamla (talk) 09:08, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also in response to your email, I have deleted all the personal information that you had unwisely put on your user page. It is no longer visible in the history. -- MelanieN (talk) 15:26, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
