Disambiguation link notification for October 13
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2017–18 EHF Champions League group stage, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Zarko Marković (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Upcoming CL
[edit]Hey, thanks for adding the teams. ;) For the new season i thought about something like that, all group in one template. And the "id" would be "Group A 1 v 2" and so on, so no need to change it to the teams, as it stays like that. So after the draw, just add the teams to the table and we are good.
- Same for the knockout matches. "QF 1 v 2" is/will be the ID, so no need anymore to add the team names. Kante4 (talk) 12:08, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yep. No problem mate. Dellux mkd (talk) 18:44, 19 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at 2019 World Men's Handball Championship. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Please familiarize yourself with WP:ACCESS. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 02:52, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
- First of all, my edit wasn't meant to be nonconstructive and disruptive. Second i don't know how this content is appropriate in the article 2017 World Men's Handball Championship, also 2015 World Men's Handball Championship, also here 2013 World Men's Handball Championship, 2011 World Men's Handball Championship, 2009 World Men's Handball Championship, 2007 World Men's Handball Championship, 2005 World Men's Handball Championship and so on. And now it is not appropriate in the article 2019 World Men's Handball Championship. My intention was only to be consistent and i just followed the common practice. I don't know why react in such way. Dellux mkd (talk) 19:00, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hello Dellux mkd, Sportsfan 1234 himself is making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, I would describe it that way that he has a strong tendency for vandalism. Don't be intimitaded by him. More users have issues with his questionable edits. If he continues maybe we should consider to report him---Anaxagoras13 (talk) 14:12, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

EHF
[edit]Hey, like i said. I always trust the national federations over the the EHF (and IHF). Some teams have great official website to gain those correct info and some don't (then i go with EHF). Kante4 (talk) 22:10, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hey. First, it's not a matter who you and i trust. Second, i think that EHF (IHF) published statistics are more relevant as official statistics for the squads. National federations may count some not official friendly matches, etc. EHF publish official registered matches, caps, goals, etc. I don't think that some national federation official website info is more relevant that the info provided by EHF. Third, maybe 2-3 federations have website with info and the rest 20 federations do not provide any info on this topic. We should be consistent and publish from the official EHF website as official, independent and relevant source for all 24 squads. Otherwise all squad info would be real mess when anybody can change the info based from some website from internet. That's my opinion on this topic. EHF website is only relevant and reliable source for statistics for all 24 squads equally and uniformed. Dellux mkd (talk) 23:14, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
- Disagree. The national federations, who have good websites and track those statistics (and update them always), shoule be used. It's not based from "some" website, it's the official federations ones. Again, Andreas Wolff has just 10 games? Those published squad lists are good for "smaller" nations who not have a "good" website. That's what i was doing the last years as EHF/IHF do make many mistakes (not sure why, maybe contact them?). Kante4 (talk) 11:42, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
- You mention Wolf all the time and i checked and now i realize that it was my mistake. On the EHF list, Wolf has 90 matches and 10 goals and it was my fault that i put 10 instead of 90 matches. Sorry for that. All the other differences are 1 match less or more and 1-5 goals less or more. There is no major difference compared EHF and DHB data. I think that the squad list data would be more unified and consistent if all data is sourced from EHF since there is no significant differences (Wolf was my mistake, he has 90 games not 10). But if you disagree i wont argue anymore. Let it be your way. Apart from Germany i dont think that you will find any other federation website with relevant data, so it will be Germany only. I disagree but i don't mind. Let it be. Dellux mkd (talk) 22:10, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
- Last time i checked all scandinavian teams had good websites with updated info, same as France and maybe some i forgot (Spain?), maybe it has changed now over time. Will have a look later on. Kante4 (talk) 14:30, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

I hope you find the info useful, and feel free to update it directly. If you think you can commit to update nore or more countries frequently, you can add your username to the corresponding country in the table (see the Spain row for an example). Best, --MarioGom (talk) 14:20, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the info. I am glad to participate and i am updating data on a daily basis. All the best, Dellux mkd (talk) 20:12, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

Cases Template
[edit]Hey, thanks for helping updating this template. I notice you don't use UTC time in your updates! Please use UTC times only. Also be careful to only update numbers that are lower than shown on JHU website. Thank you! Feelthhis (talk) 22:30, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

Venezuela 197
[edit]I saw you updated Template:2019–20 coronavirus pandemic data to put 197 cases for Venezuela [1]. I am tracking a surprising phenomenon of yesterday, were the number over Worldometer and Johns Hopkins CSSE reported 197 early in the morning before the 197 reported in the night of 15 April. Moreover the true number that day was 193, but nobody reported that (except our Wikipedia article on Venezuela), how is that possible? Also the reference you provided said 193.--ReyHahn (talk) 07:57, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
- I am not sure if the Venezuela cases were reported early in the morning on Worldometer and Johns Hopkins CSSE. I can confirm that in the evening when i was updating new cases, I found an article about Venezuela 197 cases, i am not sure which article I read, but there were already few articles published in the evening like: CNN or elpitazo.net. I didn't change the reference because i wanted to keep the same source efectococuyo.com. I was planing to update it later when the update will be published, but as i see somebody else already did it. Is there any problem or you are just curious about this update? Dellux mkd (talk) 08:38, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Singapore stats
[edit]Hello, just wondering: how did you arrive at the figure of 19,410 for Singapore, in Template:COVID-19 pandemic data? Thanks, Capewearer (talk) 09:41, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- I updated the numbers for Singapore from NST. On the source the numbers were not updated at the moment(as of 4 May), but will be updated later. That's why i didn't change the source. Not just Singapore, many sources update the numbers minutes after it is officially published in some web sites and news portals. I don't think that it is a problem if we update the numbers and not change the source if we know that the source stated will update some minutes later.
- However, if you think that it is confusing, i will add a new source as soon as the data is noto updated on the official source. Dellux mkd (talk) 12:18, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. I added a supporting reference from the Straits Times in the meantime. Capewearer (talk) 12:21, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Netherlands and Brazil stats
[edit]Hi, where did you get the numbers for the Netherlands in this edit? You've updated the access date for the rivm.nl reference from 9 to 10 August, but that page hasn't been updated since 4 August. Thanks, Capewearer (talk) 10:33, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
- Also, in this edit you used the existing Brazil reference to correctly update deaths, but also updated recovered cases, which I can't see in that reference: where did the recovered cases number come from? Thanks, Capewearer (talk) 10:41, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hmmm investigation going on :) OK. For Brazil i got the recoveries from G1, and for the Netherlands i got the numbers from here. Is there a problem? The pages may be updated later, but the numbers are same. Is there a problem? Dellux mkd (talk) 18:15, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
- We just need reliable source to WP:VERIFY everything we write, especially on something as important as the COVID-19 template that Google uses for its banner figures. So if the reference that's in there doesn't contain the information you're adding, please just add the reference, and optionally comment out one that doesn't. I know it's tempting to use Worldometers to move at speed through the template, but accuracy is more important than speed of update.
- For Netherlands, the rivm.nl was finally updated last night. But I'll add the allecijfers.nl one you found, as rivm.nl seems to have switched from daily to weekly update.
- For Brazil, https://g1.globo.com/bemestar/coronavirus/noticia/2020/08/10/casos-e-mortes-por-coronavirus-no-brasil-em-10-de-agosto-segundo-consorcio-de-veiculos-de-imprensa.ghtml
- ...was the reference in place, and
- https://g1.globo.com/bemestar/coronavirus/noticia/2020/08/10/brasil-tem-101752-mortes-por-coronavirus-diz-ministerio-da-saude.ghtml
- ....wasn't published until 20h15 that day, long after that 00h23 edit, so there must have been some other source for your edit. Next time, please just add the source you're using. Thanks, Capewearer (talk) 08:43, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

Poland
[edit]Hello. First of all, thanks for being active in keeping template data up to date. I noticed this edit, in which you removed the additional source for Poland, which I added a few days ago. I used to not update the daily numbers for Poland (see also Template:COVID-19 pandemic data/Poland medical cases chart and COVID-19 pandemic in Poland), as I did not know how to get those numbers from their health ministry's official Twitter page. However, after a few months, I was finally able to see how they post the numbers. The thread with a tweet of this type is where the cumulative deaths and cumulative positive cases come from (specifically the last tweet in that thread), while the tweet of this type is where the cumulative recoveries come from (specifically the last of the numbers that appear in the attached photo). I do not know why they post those three numbers separately. I added the additional source, even if it was also from the same Twitter page, because the cumulative recoveries did not appear in the threads that were already used as a source. Why was the additional source removed? LSGH (talk) (contributions) 09:37, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi. Thank you also for keeping the template data up to date and for your effort. The reason i removed the additional source is that it's a common practice for all countries data to post two sources. In the Poland case you added a third source which by the way it is a different thread from same Twitter account. Maybe we can add just source like this and all data can be found by browsing the threads. This is a case at Uganda numbers where source is the Twitter account of the Ministry of Health of Uganda and with browsing the tweets you can find all the data you need. Dellux mkd (talk) 10:38, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the input! I changed the citation accordingly. The most recent updates would be just a few scrolls downward anyway. LSGH (talk) (contributions) 15:38, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Are you using the Bing COVID-19 tracker for your additions to Template:COVID-19 pandemic data? Thank you. Capewearer (talk) 13:47, 12 September 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello again. I want to know if there is another source that can be used for Lithuania? It appears that both sources update late. Template:Cases in the COVID-19 pandemic
[edit]Thank you for your help updating Template:Cases in the COVID-19 pandemic. I see that you enter the time you update the template in the |time=
parameter, but it appears to me that the parameter value is intended for the time found in the "Last Updated at" widget on the JHU dashboard (converted to UTC). H78c67c (talk) 23:59, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Ok mate, thanks for the notice. I thought that the time i update the template should be stated. If the time according to JHU dashboard is intended, then ok, i have noted that and i will use the JHU time. Cheers! Dellux mkd (talk) 22:01, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
take more care when rolling back
[edit]You'll note you rolled back a correct edit. It would have been sufficient to remove my cleanup tag, but you reinstated the incorrect figure. No idea what your reply on the template's talk was all about, I used the sources given, The Todesfaelle for Germany at https://interaktiv.tagesspiegel.de/lab/karte-sars-cov-2-in-deutschland-landkreise/ shows as 28,297 (it changed since yesterday) and https://www.zeit.de/wissen/gesundheit/coronavirus-echtzeit-karte-deutschland-landkreise-infektionen-ausbreitung?utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2F shows 28,236 gestorben. Not ten times that number. -84user (talk) 16:41, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for your concerns about me using rollback. Sorry but your figure was not the correct one according to the cited source. I told you, read the source carefully and you will find the exact figures. Tagespiel is used for number of infected and death numbers and Zeit is used for number of recoveries. I use the sources given, nothing else. My reply on the talk page was with screenschot of the source and you can see where the exact numbers are published. Dellux mkd (talk) 19:56, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Is Twitter down?
[edit]Hi again. May I know if you could access Twitter now without any problems? It was working well when I updated some countries less than an hour ago, but it appears not to be working now, so I could not update some other countries yet. Do you think this is related to Super Bowl LV? LSGH (talk) (contributions) 00:40, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Yep, my account seems to work just fine. I haven't noticed any problems accessing Tweeter. Dellux mkd (talk) 00:52, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Probably the site is still working but I had to wait several minutes for pages to load. Thanks mate! :) LSGH (talk) (contributions) 01:14, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
New user
[edit]Hi again. I don't know if I should be worried about what is happening with the template lately. There is an IP who had been making too many edit requests on the talk page for several weeks already. Then Shellwood asked the IP to register for an account so that it could do those edits itself. Now, that new user is trying hard to do too many countries, including those which were not affected by edit requests. The SPA is now doing edits at a speed that has not been achieved by anyone else since September 2020. Even those countries that you and Shellwood are updating are now also being done by the new user. It's like not giving other people their chance to update the template. What do you think? LSGH (talk) (contributions) 01:12, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi there. I noticed the speed of editing by the new editor. Quite frankly i don't know how he manages to edit so many countries so fast. I don't have a clue. I don't know should we be worried. As long as the data he is updating is accurate and correct i think there is no reason to worry. At the end, important is that the template should be up to date, no matter which user updated the numbers. As long as he doesn't violate the rules and the template, i think that he is ok. Personally i think that this kind of activity will last for a few days and he will disappear very soon. We just have to keep an eye on him. Dellux mkd (talk) 00:12, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

Automated updates
[edit]There are very few active editors who are still willing to update this template. In recent months, it has already become more challenging to edit the template. Will it be possible to use Wikidata for several countries? There is a bot that updates some relevant pages. It reduces the need for editors to open a lot of sources several times every day. Also, it no longer makes sense to do manual updates every day because the virus is already spreading very slowly in several countries. LSGH (talk) (contributions) 12:03, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
