A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Canucks–Flames rivalry is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Canucks–Flames rivalry until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Resolute 16:13, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

MLB Rivalries

Can you please discuss controversial changes on the talk page first? Also, you cannot use another Wikipedia article as precedent for what should be on this artice. Thanks.Ultimahero (talk) 04:27, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Super Bowl Rivalries of the NFL

Why did you blank the page and redirect it to NFL Rivalries? I don't see anything on the talk page. Was it nominated for deletion or something?Ultimahero (talk) 08:09, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Since you haven't answered I'm going to go ahead an revert it. Please explain such a move before making it, or direct me to where such a conversation has taken place. Thank you.Ultimahero (talk) 18:26, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Primary Rivals

Please stop adding information regarding the Mets-Phillies being "primary rivals" into completely unrelated articles, such as Mets-Yankees rivalry. I spoke with User:Killervogel5 as you requested, and he agrees with me that such references should not be added to articles as you have been doing. Please see the talk page at Mets-Phillies rivalry for reference. The information has absolutely no relevance to the topic at hand.

Additionally, you have repeatedly cited the GA status of Mets-Phillies rivalry as a basis for such edits, but you will see that article has been nominated for a GA reassessment.

I'm assuming good faith and believe your intention is to simply improve the articles, but I have noticed a pattern of such edits and think they are counter-productive. The edit history of such pages shows that I'm not the only one. Thank you. TempDog123 (talk) 17:51, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

I am fine with how you've reworded this information. Thank you for addressing my concerns. TempDog123 (talk) 19:34, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Phillies-Pirates

Your continued insistence on putting the "NHL" rivalry and fan dislike on that page is completely inappropriate. We've talked about this before. You made this exact same edit on June 5th, 6th,7th, and 8th. Each day I told you it wasn't relevant. And, what did you do? Instead of taking up the discussion on the talk page you simply reinserted it several times. Now, after waiting a month and a half, you put the material in again, even though you know we had this disagreement before. That's not okay. Why do you insist on avoiding the talk page?Ultimahero (talk) 16:58, 26 July 2011 (UTC)

Flyers-Penguins rivalry

Once again, please refrain from inserting your point of view concerning the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs on the Flyers-Penguins rivalry page. Your opinion is just that - an opinion. 1994 SCF

Please refrain from adding your opinion on what the 1994 Stanley Cup Final was "best known for". While it is a fact that no Canadian team made the Finals between 1994 and 2004, it is not mentioned anywhere in the sources you have provided as being what that year was best remembered for. The source simply states that 2004 is the first time since 1994 that a Canadian team made the Finals. As it stands, you are adding personal opinion that has no place in these articles, particularly because it has no factual backing. – Nurmsook! talk... 22:03, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

There is no issue with you saying 1994 was the last time until 2004 that a Canadian team played in the Stanley Cup Finals, as it was heavily mentioned in the years in between in the media. However, where there is a major problem is you claiming that 1994 was "best known for" being the last time that a Canadian team made the Finals until 2004. As I said, there is no mention of that fact in any reference you have provided, so the statement that 1994 was best remembered for that is not tied down in fact, which is against Wikipedia policy. Unless you can find a WP:RS that states "the 1994 Stanley Cup Final was best remembered for being the last SCF in which a Canadian team participated until 2004", then your statement belongs in none of the articles you added it to (and therefore the reason why I removed it from all that I could find). – Nurmsook! talk... 22:24, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
Further, your consistent addition of the trivial fact around current Rangers staff and players is again something that doesn't belong in these articles. What do these current players and staff have anything to do with the 1994 New York Rangers? Nothing. – Nurmsook! talk... 22:28, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Jets-Giants and "Moment of Peace" Redux

SNIyer, there is NOTHING in the cited sources about a "moment of peace" in the rivalry. Why do you keep adding that phrase to EVERY sports rivalry article that you edit? Besides the fact that it's your own invention and hasn't been mentioned in a single source you've included that I have seen, it's terrible editorship to use the same phrase ad nauseum in every single article.

Let me explain what is wrong with it with respect to the Jets-Giants rivalry. NOWHERE does it say that Governor Spitzer declaring the parade "New York Giants Super Bowl Champions Day" brought peace to the three New York State teams. That is something that you're inferring from the article. THIS IS ORIGINAL RESEARCH! It's NOT mentioned in the cited source! I could just as easily infer that Governor Spitzer making such a declaration would be upsetting to the Bills and Jets and fuel the flames of the rivalry! That is why you need to be able to cite to something that is directly contained within a secondary source. Paraphrasing something is fine. Creating something that does not exist within the source is not. You should know this given how long you've been editing. TempDog123 (talk) 07:39, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

Howdy SNIyer12. Will you PLEASE stop adding trivia to hockey articles.

One part of Aftermath section should be revised on Mark Buehrle perfect game page. It says that a walk foiled his bid for consecutive perfect games and consecutive no-hitters, but a walk wouldn't end a no-hit bid. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.85.190.145 (talk) 19:26, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

I think the edits you made this morning to List of Major League Baseball stadiums -- highlighting the three stadiums where World Series were won in their inaugural seasons -- were interesting and good faith but outside the scope of the listing. If we're going to draw special attention to the stadiums that have hosted inaugural-year series, why not inaugural-year league champions, or division champions? Why not the stadiums that have the most Series wins? Why not those that have hosted the most All-Star games? Why not stadiums that have sold out their entire first year, or first two years, three years, five years? (Attendance figures would actually be more appropriate to this listing than team performance stats).

Yes, I know, the World Series victory is the Big Enchilada. I suppose it wouldn't be disruptive to the table if we made the "Year opened" entry a link to that year's World Series article (as you did for the Cardinals). But the highlighted band certainly had to go. What if the team that builds the next domed stadium also wins the World Series that year? Which highlight color would we pick? ``` t b w i l l i e ` $1.25 ` 15:57, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

(moved this here from my talk page so we get the entire conversation in one place) We would have to pick a different color for a team winning a World Series in their first year in a domed stadium. The only reason why I put a color for World Series won by team in first year is because it has been noted in the other articles. – SNIyer12, (talk), 16:01, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
I suppose, but how many different highlighter colors are we going to use? Currently it's easy to tell at a glance which are the outdoor stadiums, which are the indoor stadiums, and which are both (ie retractable roof). I think this makes sense; whether the playing surface is affected by the elements is probably the most important bit of data that differentiates the stadiums, unless surface type (grass/artificial) is. The fact that the Red Sox won the Series in 1912, or the Cards in 2006 or the Yanks in 2009, is not an intrinsic quality of their ballparks; it's trivia, and in a listing that compresses so much basic information into a limited space, it's clutter. ``` t b w i l l i e ` $1.25 ` 16:11, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
(moved from my talk) It would be better to wikilink the year the stadium opened if it opened with a World Series championship to avoid all the clutter. – SNIyer12, (talk), 16:13, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
I agree. Cheers. ``` t b w i l l i e ` $1.25 ` 16:17, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Rest assured that your previous comments on this subject have been read and considered, so you do not need to restate them. Request reason:

My apologies for not being on for a while. I'm very sorry for my rude behavior. I was just editing details in pages as to why they were necessary. I've learned from my mistakes and I'm ready to move on. I have just been busy with work. But I believe that I've learned my lesson and will not make this mistake 15:36, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You'll have to address the past issues in greater detail to enable us to ascertain that you have understood why your behaviour was problematic and to tell what you'll do to prevent those issues from re-occurring. Huon (talk) 21:38, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

A note to any admin looking at future unblock requests, the user has continued with the same edits that caused the indef block through multiple IPs and has had to be blocked on them many times. I'd suggest it be put before the community to decide on an unblock before one is made as he has been a prolific problem editor. -DJSasso (talk) 17:28, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
