[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Iman Vellani does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Sariel Xilo (talk) 19:18, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, and sorry about that, my bad! Sam0006 (talk) 19:21, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Ms. Marvel (TV series) into Iman Vellani. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Sariel Xilo (talk) 14:51, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
Noted, thanks. Sam (talk) 15:06, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sofia Carson. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Substantively doing the same edit after you were previously told to just readd the new role is classic Disruptive editing. Please don't do something like this again. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:09, 26 June 2022 (UTC)

[edit]On 6 November 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bejeweled (song), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the music video for Taylor Swift's song "Bejeweled" hints that her 2010 album Speak Now would be her next re-recording? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bejeweled (song). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Bejeweled (song)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Hi Sam0006! Thank you for your edits to Speak Now (Taylor's Version). It looks like you've copied or moved text from Red (Taylor's Version) into that page, and while you are welcome to re-use the content, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. If you've copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor. [edit]Hey there, your recent edit at Selena Gomez said "ce" in the edit summary, but I think it was not a copy edit, as it included the changing of information and references. [edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Guts (Olivia Rodrigo album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cassette. [edit] Hello, I'm Ss112. I noticed that you made one or more edits to an article, Jaded (Miley Cyrus song), concerning the updates of review statistics, box office numbers, sports statistics, or some other frequently updated data with a fixed web address, but you did not update the |access-date=
parameter in the citation template. The |access-date=
parameter is the full date when the content pointed to by the URL was last verified to be working and supporting the text being cited in the article. This means that the parameter needs to be updated whenever the content is updated. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. One link per line on disambiguation pages
[edit]Hello. Per WP:DAB, please keep one link per entry on disambiguation pages as more than one link is considered to be confusing to readers. Also, we need to show the disambiguation of the entry, so that means do not pipe out the disambiguation, e.g. still show "(song)" in the piped link like so. A better explanation can be found at WP:DAB. Thank you. Ss112 13:40, 20 July 2023 (UTC)

- I'm not sure who told you to remove links to websites and publishers in references but they lied. I do not want to see this happening again. Also, changing "work" to "website" or vice versa in a reference has no functional purpose. Also, stop trying to "equal" my edits on the page by separating your minor changes into 10 different edits. I have this page on my watchlist and more of the same after the warning will be responded with strong action.--NØ 09:49, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, got it! Very sorry about that; and thank you for the heads-up! Will keep that in mind.
- Ben | he/him (talk) 10:02, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Also consider stopping the spam edits and use more descriptive edit summaries. You will also find a box stating "This is a minor edit" on the edit screen, that is meant to be checked when the edit is something minor, like changing a parameter. And this is just a personal thing of mine, but no need to "thank" me for my edits to pages created by other users, as it is patronising.--NØ 10:43, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm sorry about it, and really apologize. And yeah, I'll take care of it. Also, I don't mean to offend you or anything, but about the publisher thing, no, I never unlinked anything; only added the publishers a few weeks ago. So I'm sorry if there's any misunderstanding, and thank you for the guidance.

Move
[edit]Hello dear friend. I'm new and still can't make a article. I saw article Draft:Rakan Daqar today and it has good resources. Please move Draft:Rakan Daqar to Rakan Daqar. Thank you and I will always inform you and help you to build article. Triumphal Arch (talk) 14:39, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hello.
- Unfortunately, I personally do not think the draft meets the required notability guidelines to be moved to an article from the draftspace. It basically is a stub currently.
- This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, it does not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of articles related to, or about a person as a subject). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
- Please take a read of WP:NBIO — the guidelines for an article for a person.
- After you're confident that you have made improvements; the article has adequate (and better) sourcing, and is expanded, you can submit your draft for review via the articles for creation process by adding the code
{{subst:submit}}
to the top of the draft page. If it is accepted by the reviewers, then it shall be converted to an article on Wikipedia.
- · If you need any help, guidance, or face any issues, you can seek help or ask queries at the Teahouse forum.
- Ben | he/him (talk) 16:28, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- This article has good resources and I did not understand the explanation you sent me.
- I hope you can publish this article and thank you. Triumphal Arch (talk) 16:45, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but it does not meet the notability guidelines, needs better sourcing (references) about the topic/subject of the article, and you need to expand it, because it is a stub as now. Due to the mentioned, it cannot be published as an article.
- If you need help with improving the draft for it to meet the article criteria, you can seek help, discuss your draft, and ask queries at Teahouse.
- Also, please take a read of WP:NBIO — the guidelines for an article for a person, so you can be aware of the criteria that the article has to meet, in terms of notability.
- After you're confident that you have made improvements, you can submit your draft for review by copying and pasting the code —
{{subst:submit}}
— to the top of your draft page. If it is accepted by the reviewers of Wikipedia, then it shall be published as an article.
- After you're confident that you have made improvements, you can submit your draft for review by copying and pasting the code —
- Regards.
- Thanks Triumphal Arch (talk) 16:58, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
Pink Friday 2 Tour opening act Stockholm
[edit]1.Cuz was the opening act in Stockholm TheRAV4000 (talk) 20:19, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there.
- I understand. However, publications have referred to him as a special guest / guest performer on the show. Do you know of any sources that mention he was an opening act?
- Because a source would need to be cited.
- Thank you.
- Ben | he/him (talk) 13:46, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- Even Nicki's poster refers to Monica as a special guest. The fact is that he performed a couple of his songs before Nicki came on stage TheRAV4000 (talk) 09:06, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Correct. But Monica is explicitly promoted / stated as the "special guest" aka supporting act in the tour's posters and other material; while the other acts brought out / who appeared were guest performers.
- The statement of 1.Cuz being the opener for the Sweden show would require a source that cites and states so, for verification/authenticity purposes.
- If you can attach it, then surely go ahead with it!
- Regards,
