History of PLE pages

Did you edit in the history of PLE suggestion for merger? I've added a bit to the talk page as to why this is inappropriate. If you edited in the merger please continue the discussion started on Talk:History_of_personal_learning_environments. Thanks, mark —Preceding unsigned comment added by Markvanharmelen (talkcontribs) 09:01, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Blocking of ISP 208.66.198.220

I was making a few minor edits from school when I noticed that you blocked Usertalk:208.66.198.220 ISP. Its not really a bother to me, and I understand that the majority of the edits from the school are negative, but would you be willing to unblock it if I found a way to assure you there would be no more vandalism? A few of the teachers here use it regularly, and I've been asked a few times about it, as the known Wikipedian here at the school. TaylorSAllen 17:57, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Rebellion of 1857

Hello

I see you have commented previous on Rebellion of 1857. Perhaps you need to intervene on the page as an Indian administrator to calm things down. The issue at hand relates to the infobox. 203.123.144.131 10:33, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

I think only a rewrite of that article will stop an edit warring (just like a rewrite of Siege of Cawnpore did). I'm working on it, but it requires reading a lot of books, and will take some time (maybe months). utcursch | talk 09:35, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for supporting Zinta on the FAC page. I gave my life to it. I'm looking forward to the day Ashaji's and Lataji's articles reach featured status too ;) Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 14:43, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

An article which you started, or significantly expanded, Sardarji jokes, was selected for DYK!

Updated DYK query On November 2, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Sardarji jokes, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Thanks for your contributions! Nishkid64 (talk) 00:57, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

time for action

Category:Iyers, we will have billions of castes, time to nip this in the bud.Bakaman 18:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I doubt it can be speedied under any criteria. If it goes to CfD, people will vote keep saying that it's a socio-ethnic community, and there are similar cats. utcursch | talk 04:13, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello!

The Preity Zinta article has been listed for Good article reassessment, while all these guys who opposed to its FAC promotion, claimed that it has to be delist. I'm shocked. ShahidTalk2me 09:35, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

About editing

There isn’t an official Frisbee club in Westlake High School (Ohio). Please do not constantly add that fact on the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WikiKouken (talkcontribs) 16:01, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

That was not me. I reverted it. utcursch | talk 05:12, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks a lot for blocking Rancejailed so quickly. His last vandalism bot lasted about 10 minutes before being blocked, leavin met with about 70 vandalisms to clean up. Because of your fast intervention, he could only make 5 edits, which are already reverted. Again, thanks a lot!  :)

Help

Hey, you know those kind-of banners you can put on your user-page to show information about yourself? Well, I was wondering can you make your own and if not where can I find a collection of them?

thanks,

Cf38 19:43, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Thank-you very much with the userboxes, but I was wondering if you could help me with the navagation on my talk-page? You see, I've tried copying and modifying the info from other talk pages, but if fails to work, so presently I'm using links for people to access my pages.
thank you

User:Pikalenko

This is a post from User:Pikalenko: i was wondering why you deleted my user page? there was nothing that was offensive to other people on it and i was just having a laugh at myself. i personally couldn't find anything wrong with what was on my page —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.174.193.230 (talk) 07:47, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Please see WP:NOT#WEBSPACE: the Wikipedian users have their own user pages, but they may be used only to present information relevant to working on the encyclopedia. The userpages of users blocked indefinitely for vandalism are deleted. If you wish to create a personal webpage, please use free hosting services available on the Internet. Wikipedia is not the correct place to create pages about you and your friends. Thank you. utcursch | talk 08:33, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
I, Pikalenko, in response to your current message, promise to not make remarks or edits such as these or let others use my wikipedia account to make such edits ever again. I just wish to report facts and happenings about our current world as it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.174.193.230 (talk) 08:52, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Just to tell you that I unblocked-reblocked this user with a schoolblock, this block message is easier to understand than the plain "vandalism", if someone tries to edit in a month or 2. -- lucasbfr talk 15:20, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Request for assistance

Hi! Sorry to bother. Having some trouble over at the Kurt Cobain article (Check the history) with numerous I.P.'s all from the same range vandalising. I don't know what to do except just keep warning them until they get a full set. Any ideas? ScarianTalk 16:12, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Okay thanks. I actually did request Page Protection but Alison turned it down. Nevermind! Thank you :-) ScarianTalk 16:57, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

Howdy Utcursch, thanks for participating in my request for adminship. I am happy to say it was successful, 55/0/0, and I am looking forward to getting to work. Thanks for your vote of confidence. By all means, feel free to check in on my work to come. Suggestions and advice are always appreciated.

Singh

Thank you!

Just wanted to thank you for coming by the Singh article and cleaning it up. I tried to add as much as I could time permitting but really appreciated you taking the time to polish it up. I came to the Singh article after seeing a request for people to come and add their knowledge on the topic since it was being hijacked by one community and thus misrepresenting the facts on the issue. I rushed to add as much as I could (including references and whatever I had learned during my graduate studies in South Asian Studies), but didn't really have time for editing and cleaning it up. After reading your edit version, I was glad how you made it flow better, it was really appreciated.—

Thanks again.

Suggestions for reorganization of Jainism invited

Some of us are planning to reorganize the article Jainism, and perhaps some of the related articles.

Since you have made significant contributions to the article in the past, it would be great if you can give us some suggestions at the talk page Talk:Jainism. Thanks.

Flip page

If I've read the history correctly, in cleaning up Flip page, you added Category:Software. Could you please take at look at that categories page; it it the top of the Software tree and not an appropriate category for most detail articles. Thanks tooold 17:25, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

I can't add it in infobox due to mobile limitation. Co-ordinates, elevation can be found at http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/38/Jumri_Tilaiya.html and STD code is 6534. Also please create 'Jhumaritalaiya' page and redirect it to this article. Common person search for 'Jhumaritalaiya' because in some movies it was pronounced that way. For 20 years, I thought such town do not exist and it is mentioned in movies just for entertainment purpose Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.189.142.139 (talkcontribs)

Harmful "editor" DavidYork71. What to do about him?

DavidYork71, CranberryIce, Bosharivale, etc. and is now back with a new sockpuppet — Mcilhenny. What are we going to do about him? Just keep banning his sockpuppets?

I haven't even had the horror of dealing with him as long as some other editors have...and he's already exhausted me. My anger and disrespect towards this user remains as fervent as ever, however. Flyer22 04:00, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

I said thank you on my talk page, but I just wanted to drop by here and say thank you as well. Flyer22 04:36, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Just wanted to say thank you for archiving the Rape talk page and for taking steps to keep the environment productive. Phyesalis 20:10, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

I went ahead and removed your warning from his talk page as I already warned him for the same edit several minutes prior to yours. --Strothra 08:12, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't believe the RSS's status as fascist is seriously debatable. I will not redo my edit, but I believe the article should be put under dispute. Thank you.
