Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala is an ayurvedic pharmaceutical company situated in Thaikkattussery, near Ollur (Thrissur, Kerala).[1] It is managed by Thaikkattusseri Eledathu Thaikkattu Family, one among the Ashtavaidya families of Kerala.[2] Vaidyaratnam runs a nursing home and an Ayurvedic Medical College apart from two ISO certified manufacturing plants in Thrissur and an R&D centre in Thaikkattussery, under the flagship of Vaidyaratnam.[3] [4]

History

Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala (Oushada means medicine and Sala is a building or institute) was instituted in 1941 by Eledath Thaikkattu Neelakandan Mooss. He had won prestigious Padma Shri award for his contributions to Ayurveda treatment.[5][6] Vaidyaratnam Ayurvedic Nursing Home was started in the year 1955 and Ayurvedic Medical College in 1976.[7] [8]
