Western China

Western China (simplified Chinese: 中国西部; traditional Chinese: 中國西部; pinyin: zhōngguó xībù), refers to the western part of China. In the definition of the Chinese government, Western China covers six provinces: Gansu, Guizhou, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Sichuan, and Yunnan; one municipality: Chongqing; and three autonomous regions: Ningxia, Tibet, and Xinjiang.
