Important Notice[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

CDU leadership[edit]

Hello! Could you please undo parts of your latest edits to the CDU article to reflect that Mr Merz is not yet incumbent CDU leader and also was not yet officially elected? See also User talk:BastianMAT#CDU leadership status. I know that a lot of international media outlets have spread misinformation about this topic, but still we should reflect the actual status. I do not really want to continue fighting an edit war over such a factual question that is easily verifiable. Thank you for understanding. --Vogone (talk) 21:53, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

My main user (Karma 1998) has never been blocked by the English Wikipedia, nor has ever indulged in illicit activities. Therefore, I don't see why another of my accounts should be blocked for suckpuppeting, nor my own account. I simply have more than one account, it is not against the rules.

Decline reason:

I don't see where you declared your other accounts, prior to editing. I want to be clear, you may have declared this and I just missed it. Additionally, I see you used all three accounts to edit the same articles. This does not appear to be a valid exception under WP:SOCK. Yamla (talk) 10:20, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution (2nd request)[edit]

Information icon It appears that you copied or moved text from 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine to Fascist (insult). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. DanCherek (talk) 00:10, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Calm down[edit]

You are being disruptive as you already know by now with your pointy edits on these separatist battalion articles.

You certainly have no idea about what is WP:RS since you use unreliable sources as clear from your history.

This comes after you were reported recently on ANI,[2] where you promised to tone down your rhetoric but you are still assuming bad faith in order to retain your edits.

Now if I ask you which of your source exactly describe the "ideology" or "controversy" in question, I am sure you will go mum even though you are using these terms to create new sections.

Stop making the edits you can't defend. Segaton (talk) 11:13, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Segaton: could you explain to me what are my "disruptive" behaviours? I have just added sourced material.--Karma1998 (talk) 11:27, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Why you are using this source when it makes no mention of Somalia Battalion? I see it mentions Paul Gubarev, but how that is relevant here? This is how you are violating WP:SYNTH. Segaton (talk) 11:39, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Segaton: I use it because I also wrote that Gubarev is a neo-nazi, so I sourced such statement.--Karma1998 (talk) 11:40, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No need to drag him unnecessarily unless the source is actually talking about Somalia Battalion. See WP:OR and WP:SYNTH.
Can you also verify the statement "was hailed as a "true fascist" by separatist leader Pavel Gubarev", because Republica does not say that. Segaton (talk) 11:44, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Segaton: I remember reading that statement in the article. I'll check it again, hoping that paywall does not cut me off.--Karma1998 (talk) 11:48, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Karl Rodig has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I created this page several months ago. After further research, I come to the conclusion that there is no real reason for this man to have a page. He is simply an episcopus vagans, leader of a small group. There are many like him and I do not see what makes him different

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Karma1998. I have recently reverted one of your recent edits to the article Qatar corruption scandal at the European Parliament. Due to your edit being in referenced or in contradiction to the references.

Please join the discussion if you believe the edit should not have been reverted and take the discussion to the article Talk page. To avoid an edit war, please do not make the same changes to the article again until consensus has been reached in the talk page.

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia and happy editing! Jo Jc JoTalk💬Edits📝 22:48, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Jo Jc JoTalk💬Edits📝 00:23, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Undone Edit[edit]

Hi, I've recently removed your contribution to the Qatar corruption scandal at the European Parliament as I believe it is original research. The inference of the contribution is that the delay in the passing of a motion is related to the scandal and its inclusion implies the passing of the resolution is linked to the breaking of the scandal. This isn't explicit in source. (Personally, I find it more likely that it did not pass because it was submitted by a GUE/NGL MEP who often don't get support for resolutions for other political reasons.)

If you believe this opinion to be incorrect or want to discuss further please reach out or, alternatively, take it to the article talk.

Thanks and happy editing! Jo Jc JoTalk💬Edits📝 15:23, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly not a WP:RS, but how is that less obvious than Catholic Culture? Horse Eye's Back (talk) 06:38, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Veverve: I realized that the New World Encyclopedia was not reliable, so I hadded other sources. @Horse Eye's Back: yeah, I am Catholic, some problems with that?-Karma1998 (talk) 14:22, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion contested: Conservative Catholics (Italy)[edit]

Hello Karma1998. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Conservative Catholics (Italy), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: If the hoax is even remotely plausible, it isn't eligible for speedy deletion. Thank you. BangJan1999 21:27, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Disruptive editing and slow edit-war at British Raj[edit]

Your repeated insertion of the flags/emblems to the infobox at British Raj ([3], [4], [5], [6]) despite the various prior discussions on the topic including the one you started, is disruptive. Continuing in this vein will likely get you sanctioned. Abecedare (talk) 21:38, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

And not a good idea to log out to make a similar edit as you apparently did using 95.131.44.111 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). See wikipedia's policies on sockpuppetry. Abecedare (talk) 21:57, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Once again you’ve inserted your preferred version, and once again it has been undone. You are at serious risk of losing your editing privileges if you do this again. Mathglot (talk)
@Mathglot: very well, I won't edit that page again. Don't want to get into trouble.-Karma1998 (talk) 16:20, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Veverve. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ecclesiam Suam, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. Information icon Hi Karma1998! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Ecclesiam Suam several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Ecclesiam Suam, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Veverve (talk) 18:39, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

copying text[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2014 into Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2023. Thank you. Mikeblas (talk) 18:17, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Veverve (talk) 20:53, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:50, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Anarchism[edit]

Hi Karma1998,

I saw your work on articles related to anarchism and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch our noticeboard for Wikipedia's coverage of anarchism, which is a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, and stay informed about content related to anarchism. Take a look for yourself!

We also have a stub (short article) expansion drive, if you'd like to participate.

Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 13:31, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Czar:. Actually I'm not an expert on anarchism, I just happened to read Mussolini il rivoluzionario of Renzo De Felice, which mentioned the story of the Unione Sindacale Italiana and the Italian Labour Union (1918–1925).--Karma1998 (talk) 19:23, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
