Questia is an online research library for books and journal articles focusing on the humanities and social sciences. Questia has curated titles from over 300 trusted publishers, including 77,000 full-text books and 4 million journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, as well as encyclopedia entries. Paid access to Questia costs $99 per year.

As of August 2012 Questia has generously agreed to give free, full-access 1-year accounts for 1000 Wikipedia editors to use, distributed at the discretion of the community. Editors will need a 1-year-old account and 1000 edits in order to qualify. At the end of 1 year, editors who found the resource useful can simply re-apply.

Round 4

Delivered
  1. Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk · contribs) - 8 year editor with > 100,000 edits on English Wikipedia. Biographies, access to obitauries would be excellent.
  2. EMP (talk · contribs) - 4 year editor with 2500 edits on English Wikipedia. Active in verifying scientific research re: meditation and yoga, as well as consumer issues and sports. This would be a big help.
  3. PRODUCER (talk · contribs) - Active for nearly five years. Helped in the creation of numerous FA and GA articles.
  4. Ajraddatz (talk · contribs) - Active mainly on Wikidata, where some sources from Questia could help all of the language Wikipedias by providing references for some statements.
  5. 4nn1l2 (talk · contribs). Persian Wikipedia. It's the second year I'm editing on Wikipedia and of course enjoying it. I usually write about Middle East history, culture, and societies. Aside from Middle East topics, I enthusiastically edit articles on engineering and fundamental sciences. I have wrote 2 Featured article yet and expanded a whole bunch of other ones. I intend to expand my work on Wikipedia but unfortunately due to recent sanctions against Iran, I have lost my access to digital libraries. I really appreciate it if you let me have access to Questia. 4nn1l2 (talk) 11:44, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  6. Shalbat (talk · contribs) - 5 year editor with 24 000 edits on spanish wikipedia. It would be useful for me to create a verify articles.
  7. Homoatrox (talk · contribs) — 5 year editor, over 17,000 edits and 5 Featured Articles on Russian Wikipedia. Questia provides access to several very useful books about Ancient Greece and Rome. — Homoatrox (talk). 15:13, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  8. Doc Taxon (talk · contribs): I am active in en:WP:REX and especially active in its German sister project de:WP:BIBA or de:WP:BIBR. I am looking for articles and literature for all the users who need it and for myself, to build well researched articles in English, German and Wikipedia of other languages. Thank you, -- Doc Taxon (talk) 13:43, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  9. User:Blackberry Sorbet. Interest lies largely in articles that often predate the commonality of the internet and access to Questia's digitized archives of journals etc would be extremely useful in sourcing material as well as opening avenues for new articles which might otherwise fall by the wayside for lack of access to sources. 10. czar (talk · contribs) enwp in history of education, art, and video games—mostly content expansion, new articles, but also source verification. My institution doesn't have Questia. Access would greatly improve the quality of my work. czar  13:12, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  11. Aalfons (talk · contribs) – 19.000+ edits since 2007. dewiki, meta, relevance check, research support for other wikipedians. --Aalfons (talk) 20:55, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  12. Aviados (talk · contribs) – 5-year editor with over 50,000 edits on Hebrew Wikipedia's article namespace. Active mainly in content generation and research; created and/or substantially contributed to thousands of articles so far. Aviados (talk) 00:44, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  13. EEng (talk · contribs) I don't feel I need to rattle off my statistics. But I mostly edit scientific, technical, and history articles e.g. Phineas Gage, and access would be a great help. EEng (talk) 00:54, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  16. Queeste (talk) 08:23, 1 November 2013 (UTC) Mostly active on the Dutch Wikipedia. More than 8.000 edits, lots on social sciences. More access to scientific psychology and psychiatry sources would be very welcome.[reply]

  18. CaroleHenson (talk · contribs) I have been an editor since February, 2011 - with 31,222 edits to 7,014 articles. I have created several hundred new articles - and edited numerous "new" articles through AWB or the New Pages Feed. There are often articles without any citations and I like to get articles into an untagged, quality state. Having access to Questia would be wonderful for helping to identify sources of information!--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:14, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Donner60 (talk · contribs) - I have taken the liberty of adding a re-apply section to this round, which I hope is ok. I have used Questia and have cited it in several articles over the last year. I do find it useful. I have changed my e-mail address on my user page to donnerparty60@gmail.com but I still have the old e-mail address used with the Questia and High Beam accounts. Thanks for your work on this.
