If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Thanks for your comments on the NZ on Air entry. I'll reword as per your advice. I've been advise tht the national film archive is privately owned, snd yes it does get a substantial amount of money from govt funding, which makes it's position as default archivist for nz content interesting. Not really sure what it means. perhaps for someone else to contemplate. I'll just stick to the facts. Totally agree, there so much stuff to work on so I'm happy to help where I can with my knowledge or resource material on this topic. Not many people know more about this issue and the discussion on it. I'll do my best to assemble the best of relevant articles on it for everyone.Nzindie (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:26, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I created a DYK nomination for the article you created on Du Bin[1]. I was hoping to have time to do some more work on it, but wanted to get the nomination in before the deadline. Today or tomorrow I'll try expanding it a bit more, and if you have time to do the same I would encourage it. Hope all's well. TheBlueCanoe 22:50, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Peace page

Hello, I'm not sure why you have undone my changes to the @Peace page. My changes were entirely constructive, aimed at making the article objective - I had removed quite a bit of subjective/inappropriate content, both negative and positive. Instead, it's now locked on to the negative hatchet job it was before I began editing it. I suggest it be reverted to my last change, made 23:48, 30 September 2014. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.180.127.197 (talk) 04:26, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello User:202.180.127.197 and welcome to Wikipedia. There is no "hatchet job" on the page and content perceived as "negative" is acceptable as Wikipedia isn't a site for promotional material - there are plenty of other websites for that. Some of the changes were reverted because they broke the marks-ups on the page. Some of the content you added wasn't written from a neutral point of view and was unreferenced (ie "The group is known for its innovative and experimental style and thought-provoking lyrics"). As @Peace is a New Zealand band please avoiding using Americanisms such as "stylized". I have just added some of your other changes to the page. Regards, Haminoon (talk) 04:54, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the current version, perhaps the John Key song should be mentioned in a separate section entitled "Controversy", rather than the second sentence in the introduction - it is one song they have released out of many and is not representative of their typical style. I suggest using my introduction with a few changes - "The group is known for its experimental production style" would be more objective. Here are some references for this: http://www.theaudience.co.nz/news/album-review-peace-and-the-plutonian-noise/ http://www.offthetracks.co.nz/peace-peace-and-the-plutonian-noise-symphony/ http://www.undertheradar.co.nz/review/943/Peace-and-the-Plutonian-Noise-Symphony.utr — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.180.127.197 (talk) 23:30, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

None of those links contained the word 'experimental', and personally I consider their production to be more 'hackneyed' than 'experimental'. I don't think there is any need for a controversy section as they are only well-known for one thing. Haminoon (talk) 22:16, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

db-a2

I noted that you have incorrectly placed the {{db-a2}} tag on a few articles. WP:CSD#A2 specifically refers to foreign language articles that already exist on another Wikipedia. The template requires a parameter wherein you identify the foreign language Wikipedia article that is duplicated. The mere fact that the article is not written in English is not sufficient reason to tag for speedy deletion. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:34, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Problem usernames

Hi Haminoon, and thanks for tagging International Trading & Technical Services Co. WLL (INTER-TECH) for speedy deletion. In this case, the user who created it had a username that also violated the username policy - specifically, the provision that account names can't be named after businesses. If you happen to spot those and they are engaged in promotional editing, feel free to report them to WP:UAA. They'll get blocked for a username violation, and their unwelcome edits will be stopped dead in their tracks. Thanks! --Drm310 (talk) 07:27, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion tagging of Sakshi Gupta BLP

Hi Haminoon,
Sorry to have to say this right after a Barnstar, but your tagging of the Sakshi Gupta page for speedy deletion under WP:Criteria for speedy deletion#G1 as "nonsense or gibberish" is in error. The page was neither gibberish or nonsense when you tagged it, only 4 minutes after it was started! It did lack content at the time, being just an infobox, but I would suggest that a bit more time be allowed for an obviously incomplete page just started by a new editor.

But it would now qualify for speedy deletion under WP:Criteria for speedy deletion#A7 for lack of notability. Regards, 220 of Borg 10:48, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've retagged it A7. Nonsense is only for things like 'tcytretrgfcgcfcgf' that can't be in any known language, or things like 'face fourteen superego jam curry twiddlydee' which would probably be rejected by a Surrealist poetry circle and are not coherent ("Colorless green ideas sleep furiously" is coherent although it is meaningless, while "Furiously sleep ideas green colorless" IS nonsense in WP terms). It's actually a fairly rare one at speedy. Peridon (talk) 11:14, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies User:Peridon and user:220 of Borg; I just saw two words with no context inside Huggle and though "gibberish". I will be more careful in future, and allow an article to develop first. Thanks, Haminoon (talk) 04:24, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. We all make mistakes! I don't use Huggle, so don't know how it displays such things. I find Special:NewPagesFeed gives me a good idea about a new articles status. I then usually use Twinkle to tag as required. There is somewhere a discussion about allowing, especially 'noob' editors, enough time to develop an article. I often give new editors a {{First article}} Welcome template as a heads up and guide to help them. --220 of Borg 09:11, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What isn't wrong with me. Haminoon (talk) 01:56, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can you talk to user 86.135.99.68 about their edits to The Bill (series 20). They claim that a character, PC Des Taviner (Paul Usher), who was killed off in the Episode No. 199 (End of the Road) had his last appearance in a documentary Des and Reg Uncovered, broadcast after his final episode. The character was already dead, and the episode is a documentary not part of the storyline. They also keep removing the departures list, an important part of the page as it lists all cast changes. I am sick and tired of this person trying to justify a false case, and having to revert edits every time I come onto the wiki because they simply undo the whole edit as opposed to change one thing. 108.180.241.236 (talk) 06:42, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not that familiar with the The Bill beyond watching a couple of episodes. I recommend you bring it up on the talk page with references to support your case. I also suggest you make a Wikipedia account to make it easier for people to contact you. Regards, Haminoon (talk) 00:33, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My Misandry edit -

Wasn't neutral at all, but for a good cause - it was meant to point out the ways in which the article is already pushing a POV. The claims that men are working in more dangerous jobs due to a hatred of men as a sex isn't proven at all, and runs up against the easy counter of safety inspections and modern medicine - which have lowered the death rate dramatically, and also - male employers.

Suicide is another example - more women attempt suicide, but as a group, prefer methods like overdose and cutting - methods which will give them plenty of time for second thoughts, or to be interrupted, and which are much easier for health care providers to deal with, than gunshots and jumping. By contrast, too many men aren't taking advantage of the services out there, designed to help them.

Claiming misandry here, while understandable, is also simplistic, naïve, and an editorial. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.234.85.177 (talk) 08:34, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rajasthan Assembly Page

The article for Rajasthan Assembly contained a most unwarranted section for 'Leader of Opposition'. Somebody who could be sycophant of the current Opposition Leader may have inserted it, so I removed it. It did not give any historical perspective about that post. The main page does not even contain a link for 'leader of the house' which is a more important post. But it contained a frivolous section for LoP. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.228.13.71 (talk) 13:25, 26 December 2014 (UTC) "[reply]

Its entirely appropriate to have a section on the leader of the opposition on an assembly page, and the wording was not sycophantic. Rather than removing it you could add information on the BJP chief minister and council of ministers. Regards, Haminoon (talk) 21:45, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Haminoon. I have to tell you that ‘He was subsequently jailed for embezzlement from these homes.’ is not a fact - and should be removed without delay. Even if it was factual, under the UK’s Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 it would be spent and not able to be quoted.

The reference to working as Bursar of the City of Westminster residential care homes is accurate - but I have been unable over many years to find a citation for it, and so would not mind if it was removed altogether. Misterinterloper

Haminoon, your edits to User talk:Misterinterloper were inappropriate. You put a warning on him for deleting a speedy deletion tag, but he did not in fact do so. The deletion tag he removed was a proposed deletion tag, which says right on it that any editor is free to remove it, thereby aborting the proposed deletion of the article.

Note also that per WP:REMOVED there is nothing wrong with a user removing warnings and other comments from their talk page. It was not necessary for you to revert the removal.--Srleffler (talk) 04:52, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the talk page revert, maybe Haminoon thought that it was one of the cases that are supposed to be reverted? WP:REMOVED mentions some cases where it is prohibited for a user to remove content from their talk page. Flyer22 (talk) 05:03, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sincere apologies - I had misread the tag. I have now read WP:REMOVED more carefully. Regards, Haminoon (talk) 05:52, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dick Black

I have restored the edits I made to the Dick Black (politician) page in an attempt to make the page an honest recording of the man. The information I removed was slanderous and inaccurate. People have continuously been trying to use his Wikipedia page as a means of slandering this man instead of an honest portrayal of his career. All information I have place on the page is cited by references and all biographical information comes straight from the Senator himself. Please stop making changes that place derogatory and incorrect information on this page. (Ashburnian) Jan. 8, 2015 — Preceding undated comment added 04:40, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Which information was slanderous or inaccurate? It was all reliably sourced. Haminoon (talk) 07:54, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You keep citing a Mother Jones article that is filled with falsehoods and outright lies. For instance, Black never opposed making marital rape a crime and in fact voted for the bill making marital rape a crime. In addition, the supposed quote given by Mother Jones by Sen. Black about military rape is completely unsourced in the article and untrue.
If you look at the original posting of Tiller54 to this page dated 20 Jan., 2014 (check the revision history of this page), you will see that this user created an attack page, which is forbidden by Wikipedia rules, and should have qualified this page for deletion or revision back to the original stub. I have been trying to create an accurate portrayal of Senator Black, and every time I do, you and another user keep restoring this page back nearly to the original attack page that was created here.
I am trying to remove contentious material that is unsourced or poorly sourced per the BLP guidelines. Specifically, "Material should not be added to an article when the only sourcing is tabloid journalism." The Mother Jones article is tabloid journalism. Please stop reverting my changes. Ashburnian (talk) 02:52, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
User:Tiller54 appears to be a fine upstanding editor to me. For further replies please see the article talk page. Regards, Haminoon (talk) 00:42, 10 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

1RR violation

The Israel Project article , and most certainly the passage you keep reverting which reads ' the Israel Project, "seem to exist for no other reason than to spotlight the very worst aspects of Muslim societies." -is subject, like all other article related to the Israeli-Arab conflict to a 1RR limitation. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Arab-Israeli_Arbitration_Enforcement . The relvant part, bolded for you, reads: "All articles related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, broadly construed, are under WP:1RR (one revert per editor per article per 24 hour period). When in doubt, assume it is related. . Please self revert you latest edit. Brad Dyer (talk) 00:21, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies

I did not mean to imply you had made up a citation. I was arguing that you were citing a source that did not provide any proof that the quote they were giving was accurate and was, in fact, given. The Mother Jones article did not provide any source information or context, and when I spoke to Senator Black he did not recall giving that quote. That is why I was so determined to have it removed. I believed that Mother Jones made up the citation. I also should have made the issue of context clear. Hi. Thanks for patrolling new pages, an under-appreciated but essential task. Just a note about your recent tag on AIP&T: WP:CSD#G4 is only for cases where a previous deletion was by AfD (or another deletion discussion such MfD). AIP&T had been deleted before, but by a speedy, not AfD. In that case, the thing to do is just tag it again with the same speedy, assuming the reason still applies. Yes will do. Thanks John. Haminoon (talk) 23:43, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies

I apologize for the speedy removing of the Bhutanese Passport audio. I didn't notice there was a rfc ongoing and I took it for granted that it was vandalism. --Odiseo79 (talk) 00:46, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. Haminoon (talk) 00:48, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Posing as staff.(edit:I was incorrect)

You are not staff. You are posing as staff and I will see this rectified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by That Guy from 4chan (talkcontribs) 09:50, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your first sentence is correct. I am not staff. Haminoon (talk) 09:53, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Then why are you acting as if you have authority on my talk page. You subversively threatened me with banning, trying to give the impression of being a staff member. You are posting racist material on the Bhutanese Passport page. Also preventing edits from removing it. You also are linking to it on 4chan.org on a post meant to make people laugh through generally inappropriate media. While that may be all well and good on 4chan, this is a informational website where such media doesn't belong. That Guy from 4chan (talk) 10:04, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have never posted on 4chan and likely never will. Would you like to explain what is racist on the Bhutanese Passport page, for those of us who don't wish to read 4chan? Haminoon (talk) 10:06, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I will humor you. It is a racist impression of Bhutanese accent that is under some sort of sound filter to make it sound robotic. That Guy from 4chan (talk) 10:17, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You are mistaken. The editor who made it is from Bhutan and has contributed many worthwhile articles regarding Bhutan to both the English and Dzongkha wikipedias. You can confirm this yourself by looking up their editing history. Adding effects to boring speeches is common for many South Asian audio productions - to confirm this just listen to the local adverts on your local Indian radio station. And then please ask your fellow 4chan users to reconsider their predjudices. Haminoon (talk) 10:25, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well I must simply assume your telling the truth as to having never visited 4chan. If that is the case then let me be the one to inform you that there is no reasoning with 4chan. Much of it's user base consists of racist, homophobic, sexist, disturbed, and generally prejudiced people. Not all are like this though. The site is famous for its anonymity of its users and total willingness to discuss any topic. This is what attracts the better half of the site. It is hard to find a place where the only limit to discussion is illegal content.

Back to the subject at hand. I acted a bit rashly with the repetitive removal of the sound file. Since your argument is soundly logical I will again take your word for it. I only acted on what seemed right. I will, hereon, cease deleting the file till I can take out the time to check for the information myself. An event which is unlikely to come to pass. That Guy from 4chan (talk) 10:43, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I just reverted 2 edits made by this ID that seem to be mostly insulting rather than any type of AGF 'helpful'. Since the most text I removed seemed to be directed at you (Bhutanese passport audiofile of course), I was wondering if you wanted to report the account or just keep an eye on it, etc. thanks, Ryan shell (talk) 20:50, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Its a little too nonsensical to report. Haminoon (talk) 05:07, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I add a deletion tag now. Sorry for the inconvenient. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrade nicko (talkcontribs) 13:17, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the WP:G7 tag as you are not the only or main author. Regards, Haminoon (talk) 13:21, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
