20th Century Fox World is a future movie inspired theme park to be constructed in Genting Highlands (Resort World Genting), Malaysia. The park would become the first 20th Century Fox theme park in the world and the first in Asia upon its expected completion and opening in 2016, but on October 14, 2015, the opening date has been pushed back to late 2017.[1]

Development history

20th Century Fox World was first announced on 26 July 2013.[2][3]

Park design

The park will be 25 acres in size and will feature roughly 25 thrill rides and attractions based on films and franchises like Rio, Ice Age, Life of Pi, Night at the Museum, Planet of the Apes, Alien vs. Predator, and Titanic.[2][3][4]

Competition

The 20th Century Fox World will have tough competition with many world-renowned movie inspired theme parks such as Universal Studios and Walt Disney.
