== Jily 2017 ==

Hello KGirlTrucker81,

Thanks for your message regarding my Ralph McTell edit. It was not a mistake. The anecdote I highlighted was first added to the article by an anonymous user on 29 March 2017. The history shows the following amends:

29 Mar Anecdote added by anonymous user with long hex handle
29 Mar Undone by me
29 Mar Redone by anonymous user with a different long hex handle
1 Apr Deleted by Fitindia after I asked Wiki police for advice
2 Apr Restored by anonymous user with a standard IP address
2 Apr Reverted by Fitindia
2 Apr Restored by IP Man
Wiki Police out off ideas so I left it a month
8 May Undone by me
19 Jly Restored by IP Man with feigned justification
23 Jly Lie exposed in article by me

If you have any influence or ideas on how to stop this persistent spammer, I'd appreciate your help, please.

With thanks and best wishes.

Help

Hi! KGirlTrucker81. I'm user:rupalavanyan. You gave me a message but I can't understand. Can you tell it properly.Thanks.rupa$$$ (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:01, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

See Robert McClenon's comment for clarification in your talk page. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 11:09, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Navy SALTs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Why 74.108.224.146 (talk) 21:51, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I requested that it be deleted because there were no reliable sources added to the Navy SEALs article to substantiate the nickname, and I could find nothing in an initial Google search about it either. If you can present a reliable source showing it is a viable alternative name, then I've no problem restoring the redirect. - BilCat (talk) 22:59, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks 74.108.224.146 (talk) 01:23, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merging Pages

Hello, I'm a reasonably experienced 'back office' Wikipedian but I have no experience with merging pages. What is your advice for doing what I have suggested here: Talk:Bournbrook#Merge_with_Selly_Oak and do you agree with the merge? Thanks in advance. -=Troop=- (talk) 19:37, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You put the {{merge to}} and {{merge from}} in the two articles and list them at WP:Proposed mergers. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 11:15, 28 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rocket Stack Rank

I saw you created a talk page for Rocket Stack Rank. Thanks! I added some information there that might be useful to someone wanting to create a page for us. (I assume that I can't do it myself since I'm one of the co-editors.)

What can I do to help make this happen?

RSR is totally non-monetized; no ads, no affiliate links, no fees, and no begging for donations. It exists purely to encourage people to read short speculative fiction and to make it easier for them to make nominations for the Hugo Awards. Our only motivation in wanting a Wikipedia page is that we think it would help us further that mission.

Thanks again. Greg (talk) 17:43, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:THIRDPARTY and WP:RS sources must not be blog posts, interviews, press releases, and announcements in order to boldy turn a redirect into a article. But, make sure you get to the redirect page and clicking the link again. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 17:53, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Does that mean it's okay for me to create a stub article for this? Greg (talk) 18:12, 1 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Conan the Conqueror (2017 film). Since you had some involvement with the Conan the Conqueror (2017 film) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. -- Tavix (talk) 23:08, 1 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Article declined about "ClowdWork"

Hi KGirlTrucker81,

I am leaving a comment because you have declined my article about ClowdWork due to "Unambiguous advertising or promotion in userspace". First, I apologise it is my first article on Wikipedia and I believe that I misunderstood Wikipedia´s policies and made mistakes. However, my goal has never been to advertise the service, as there are plenty of places and tools for that on the web, but really to inform the reader about ClowdWork. Therefore, I would be very grateful if you could give me some tips or advice on how I should write my article.

Thank you very much!

Valentin

Hi KGirlTrucker81 ,

My BLP has been declined as it didn't passed notability. I am a newbie and not sure how to work through this? The BLP is about Arunava who has worked closely for the Indian Football and promoted Football in India. His work is referred in an article in wikipedia: India national football team and has often written about football for third party sources. Over the past years, Arunava has been interviewed by several sports outlets, most notably Goal.com, Sportskeeda, Outside Of The Boot, and iSportsconnect. Please let me know if it can be worked through to ensure that the BLP is notable.

Thanks```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by Devendra Kalkar (talkcontribs) 06:49, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You reviewed User:AlanTheGreat/sandbox and I just thought I would let you know that it is back up for review (they resubmitted it) if you want to take a look.

Additionally, regarding your comment on YouTubers not being notable until 1 million subscribers, I attempted (back in January) to submit a draft about Ali-A (Draft:Ali-A) who has nearly 10 million subscribers interviewed by BBC, a subject of documentaries etc) and they were still not considered notable enough - not sure if that was just the reviewers or a consensus of sorts so just thought I would let you know in case it is. --TheSandDoctor (talk) 00:19, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To both of you (KGirl and TheSandDoctor) it has never been determined that any number of subscribers makes a person notable. YouTubers have to meet the same criteria that any other BLP has to - significant coverage in independent sources. Cheers, Primefac (talk) 11:51, 9 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)[reply]

Please bear with me as I am rather new to Wikipedia's how to's and language. Jack Windsor Lewis

Hello, I'm grateful for your approval of the article I submitted on Jack Windsor Lewis. If I may, I would like to request a change in the name you have given the article. Jack has always had Windsor Lewis as his surname - the two-name surname is a Welsh convention, quite different from the English hyphenated double-barrelled upper-class surname (e.h. John Ponsonby-Smythe).Since Wales has rather few surnames, if you have a common surname it is usual to add another family name (e.g. the British WW1 Prime Minister David Lloyd George). So the correct name is Jack Windsor Lewis. Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RoachPeter (talkcontribs) 10:36, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@RoachPeter: That's his middle name which also is unnecessary, and added a disambiguation of the person's subject. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 15:09, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, but I have to insist on this point. If you look at Welsh surnames (end of the History section) you will see that the double surname is attested in Welsh society since the 19th century. 'Windsor' is not this man's middle name, it is the first part of his surname. To deny him the use of this is to deny him his cultural heritage as a Welshman. Would you advise me to ask WP to resolve this conflict for us? RoachPeter (talk) 17:09, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Miles Ranch

Hi, Thank you for your help! I'm having trouble listing my references. As you can see, I have the same reference listed multiple times. Can you help? I have very limited experience. Also, what is the best way to add pictures to the Miles Ranch article? Thanks again!(Paulo Bruxellas (talk) 20:30, 26 May 2017 (UTC))[reply]

@Paulo Bruxellas: You can use the WP:RefToolbar or WP:ProveIt to easily add references but please see WP:REFBEGIN for more information. If you going to add an image, please don't simply copy-paste an image from the internet and upload it into Wikipedia because it only accepts free content. 11:57:13, 3 June 2017 review of submission by CyberMetrix

Thank you for your review. I am obviously new to adding pages to Wikipedia. The submission that we've put forward is obviously not compliant from a Wikipedia stand point but that does not negate the fact that this is a new term that needs to be available for people to understand. Digital trust management teams are a new development in cyber security as this issue has been reclassified from being a technical risk to being a business wide risk. As such a new team / term has come into existence. Can you please provide us with assistance, either engaging a professional for "fee for service" to help us correctly added this term to Wikipedia. Thank you for your assistance and time.

Hi. I would like to kindly ask you to revert your snow close of this discussion. While there are 3 keep !votes, the current sourcing of the article includes 3 references: 1 - the short story itself; 2 - a 3 sentence blurb in an over 700 page book; and 3 - which very well might be a valid, in-depth reliable source, but I don't speak Chinese. That hardly qualifies as "The footnotes clearly cite multiple independent sources on literary criticism of this classical short story". Cheers. Onel5969 TT me 19:45, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Onel5969, my point was that if you feel the page is still not worth having, I would reopen the discussion. Primefac (talk) 00:13, 9 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Primefac... sorry, I did miss your point. And thank you for that, but it doesn't really change my reaction. Got tired very quickly of being stalked. And in my years on WP, I've never taken an AfD decision to DRV. In fact, I can think of only four or five times when I've asked the closer to re-open. While I may not always agree with KGirlTrucker81, I respect their work, and if they don't want to re-open, I'll abide by that decision. Onel5969 TT me 01:03, 9 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

DUP RfD

I'm curious about why you have speedily closed Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2017 June 11#DUP? There were three keep recommendations (including mine), but none recommended dealing with it speedily and there has been no further comment from the nominator so a speedy close, particularly without any closing comment, is surprising. Thryduulf (talk) 09:48, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Thryduulf: Per WP:NAC. there must be obvious reasons that should been kept and that's why I closed it. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 16:22, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If you saw reasons justifying a speedy close then you need to mention them in your closing statement (and this applies to all nominations you close speedily). In this case, while I think a keep outcome was likely, I do not see any obvious justification for a speedy closure. Thryduulf (talk) 16:32, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I concur. If you are closing speedily, it must be marked as a speedy keep. Additionally, as a NAC you must give a rationale. It's also rather bad form to close something five hours after it was opened, when no one has called for a speedy keep. Primefac (talk) 16:34, 12 June 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)[reply]

re: page for Jake Carpenter

Hello KGirlTrucker81. I am completely new to creating an article, but was thinking about creating a few for things I believe in

I tried to create an article for actor Jake Carpenter, an established actor and producer in the U.S.

The submission was denied, and it seemed to ask for external references. I thought I had done that by including his imdb page and other pages that featured him or his projects as an actor. He is also a producer and is currently producing a documentary with John Goodman and Elijah Wood (actors). I did not include that, although it is on his imdb.

Anyway, I know that you are busy and dealing with some family issues. What should I do? I know he is notable, but just would like to give you what you would need to approve and support him. Please let me know any suggestions or feelings or anything. Thank you so much. Williamboudreaux (talk) 21:29, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Williamboudreaux: IMDB is not an reliable source since most of content is user-generated. You've already have sources that are reliable, but please put them in footnote format. See WP:REFB or stop by at the WP:Teahouse for more advice on how to properly format references. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 21:37, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, KGirlTrucker81. I could not figure out how to respond directly to your response in the thread so that I would not take up space in your conversation list with a new comment. Sorry.

But, thank you so much. It is so nice to know that the sources are reliable. Thank you about letting me know that imdb is not a good fit for wikipedia. Also, thank you for letting me know to put those sources into footnote format. I did not know that I needed to do that. Oh, the wikipedia format seems a bit intimidating, but I am sure that it just takes some consistent effort to learn, and I can see that there are many help pages and forums that wikipedia offers for new learners.

But, just thank you, KGirlTrucker81. Your fast, complete, and helpful response was very helpful and comforting. Thank you. I will hope to interact with you again. Thank you. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Williamboudreaux (talkcontribs) 22:10, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Obie Willis, you can "wipe away" your errors on a sandbox page - just edit it and delete everything! I thought that linking to the Joint Baltic American National Committee (which also has a wiki entry), the Central and Eastern European Coalition, and the Estonian Embassy would be reference enough. We are a non-profit organization; we are not written up in magazines, althugh we receive frequent mentions in the Estonian-language newspaper Vaba Eesti Sona (but I don't think that's what you are looking for. Please help me understand, as I have never done a Wiki page before and I don't know how to cite correctly (how do I do it? <ref><ref> is not working correctly for me). Wikipedia is not easy to edit! Request on 10:40:02, 21 June 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by Nwachinazo

Nwachinazo (talk) 10:40, 21 June 2017 (UTC) I submitted an article Whiteplains British School (the Last one) for creation on Wikipedia page. Sadly, it was deleted on copyright violation ground and on promotion. I want to state that I do not work for the organization that I wrote an article on. Rather, I was amazed on the level of structure, prestige, achievements, and notability the organization has got. I even cited some third-party reliable and verifiable sources to justify the article's notability. Obviously, I have to work on proper citations. As part of fundamental way to rewrite the article, I therefore request for its placement on my sandbox in its original form, so that I can make some edits. Thanks. Your review of my article on Basavaraj Puranik

Hi KGirlTrucker, Let me first thank you for reviewing a article I had submitted for submission to wikipedia. You have rejected the article with a comment that it is not suitable for wiikipedia because there are not sufficient references

Let me try to understand the reasons better. Mr Puranik is a writer in Kannada language and the 5 references and his obituaries that I have shared are mainly in Kannada

Iam assuming that you understand Kannada to go through the references.. if not I would appreciate that some one who does review this and take a decision on the noteworthiness of the article. Mr Puranik has authored over 18 books and has been a well known speaker in Kannada

Thank you for your understanding — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deepakpuranik (talkcontribs) 05:36, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your review of my article on rapper Ski Mask the Slump God

Hey KGirlTrucker81, I submitted an article for the rapper Ski Mask the Slump God who has been getting popular as of late within the mainstream alongside other rappers in his collective like XXXTentacion. I'm wondering why you declined my article. You state that the references don't show the articles notability and told me to refer to guidelines for notability for music related topics. and in it I found how my references did fulfill the guidelines.

It states, "Musicians or ensembles (this category includes bands, singers, rappers, orchestras, DJs, musical theatre groups, instrumentalists, etc.) may be notable if they meet at least one of the following criteria.". I've shown in the references that Ski Mask the Slump God "has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city", he has become one of the most prominent representives of the current underground rap style that has emerged into mainstream normally called "soundcloud rap" which is a real style that you can find articles on and he was initally a prominent artist in South Florida. I've shown this with this article I've referenced frequently in the article.

If you still want to keep it declined, I want to ask what "satisfying our basic policies" means. I'll continue to work on the draft I just want you to expand on that.WolvesS (talk) 05:13, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I declined your submission again because of unreliable sources, and to clarify what "satisfying our basic policies" means that the article meet general notability guidelines and other policies such as our NOT policy. If you want more help, stop by at the WP:Teahouse. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 11:43, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That makes no sense, "unreliable sources" I want you to define this because XXLMag and HipHopDX (the main two I used as XXL is a very big hip hop publication, probably the largest in the world and is very trusted when it comes to hip hop news, HipHopDX is the same when it comes to the latter) are very reliable sources and are very reputable. I can find more sources from other publications on what I've already provided but its mainly going to be from hip hop publications. (which is why I want you to clear up what a reliable source is)WolvesS (talk) 12:11, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not those sources only iTunes is the listed source unreliable because most of it content is user generated. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 12:20, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry to be rude but itunes is a reliable source, (Its also ironic cause 85% of the itunes references on that page are copied from another page that has already been reviewed and approved)thats why on literally every page for music artists and their discography, itunes is used as a reference. You can clearly see from the link I provided that the commercial project YouWillRegret by Ski Mask the Slump God was uploaded by his label. iTunes also has tags which differentiate from if something is user generated or not.
You also haven't debunked my previous statement on how XXLMag is reliable. I don't mean to be rude but can I get this article reviewed by someone who specializes in music on wikipedia? Because I feel like my side isn't being understood. WolvesS (talk) 14:06, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@WolvesS: You've obviously misunderstood how reliable sources work, so please read WP:RS for what sources can be acceptable. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 15:13, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just gonna be honest and tell you I read that when I was looking up reliable sources. You have not given me a clear answer at all, why is itunes reliable for other people and not for me? You clearly don't know how iTunes works with its tag system nor its Apple Music system. The reason why iTunes is reliable is because the Apple Music system only releases music that is verified as being official singles and Apple Music includes tracklisting, contributors, writers, producers, etc. I've already cleared up that XXLMag is reliable when it comes to Hip Hop news. I feel like right now my article is fine and its just being held back by you not wanting to lose this debate. I've fixed some of the issues, added more reputable sources from places like NYT and Rollingstone and also alternative links to credits for the projects. (Though they aren't as good as iTunes as they are actually put up by the label on iTunes) I'm going to submit this article again and hopefully it'll be approved this time. I don't want to start getting silly and start linking large articles like Kanye West's discography and Drake's to prove to you that iTunes is such a non issue here with reliability. Login problems

Hi KGirlTrucker81, this is Aldiboronti although I can't log in. You were kind enough to offer help when I was attempting to write a new article on an 18th century opera. I gave up in the end! I just wondered if you could help me with the baffling problem I have at the moment. I attempted to log back in to Wikipedia today only to be informed that User Aldiboronti does not exist. And yet I can find my homepage here with ease, see link below.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Aldiboronti

My first thought was that I had misspelled the name but copying and pasting it from my homepage still gives the error. One odd thing, I don't know if it's relevant, the login page had a tickbox to stay logged in for 365 days. I've never seen that before. I'm at my wit's end. If it tells me my account does not exist then maybe I should create a new one with the same username and email, I'm just worried I'll lose all my history (I've checked several of the edits I've made over the years, they're all still there, all with my name aldiboronti. It won't be a tragedy if I can't get into my account again, I'm not a real Wikipedia pro, I just enjoy editing the occasional error in an article. One thought, could it be anything to do with location change? Since I got a new laptop with Windows 10 Google has my location wrong by about 30 miles, putting me in Stevenage, England rather than Portsmouth, England. I've notified them of that but I don't know how long they'll take to rectify it.

Oh well, these things are sent to try us. I posted on the Help Desk but not having much luck with replies. So I remembered how helpful you'd been before and thought I'd post here. No good deed goes unpunished! :)

Thank you for replying, and in a perfect world I'm sure your solution would work. But this is trickier. I can't reset my password because Wikipedia tells me they have no such email registered. Just for fun I tried creating a new account using my old username and the email they say doesn't exist. The error message? Email and username already in use. See how devilishly complicated this is? But don't worry, KGirlTrucker81, I've had some answers at last on Help Desk. There are apparently some open tickets on this over at OTRS, no solution in sight but the developers have been informed. Trust me to have such an intractable problem. Thank you again for replying. Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that whenever you create new categories pursuant to AFC requests, you seem to be putting its subcategories as parent categories. Your maintenance tag on page "Craig DiLouie"

Hello, thanks for reviewing my page "Craig DiLouie." You added a maintenance tag, "Some of this article's sources may not be reliable." I don't understand the tag being applied here.

The Amazon page (citation 1) lists the body of fiction work. It is an informative source of what works were published.

The business website (citation 2)lists services and clients in the lighting industry. It directly affirms the statement made in the article.

Citation 3 is an interview with the Horror Writers Association, which hosts the Bram Stoker Awards. The interview talks about the nominated novel Suffer the Children.

Citation 4 is a list of books nominated for a 2015 Audie Award, which include the novel Suffer the Children.

Please provide guidance on how these sources are not reliable, and what types of sources would satisfy you. It's my view they are reliable as they are primary sources.

Thank you,

Zombieapocalypsenow (talk) 06:30, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Zombieapocalypsenow: Please see WP:RS for that issue, otherwise point 1 and 3 are not reliable. These sources can be replaced with major news reviews, journals, and books that are independent and in-depth. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 11:27, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For citation 3, the HWA runs the awards, they say in the first paragraph the book was nominated, so I considered that a primary source. I changed it to http://horror.org/final-ballot-bram-stoker-awards/. This is the HWA page that listed all 2014 nominees.

For citation 1, the Amazon author page lists all titles, shows the author's name on them, and that they are for sale. Posting reviews in journals or websites would be a secondary source and result in a huge number of citations. There are no books that list the author's complete works other than the author's books themselves.

Please let me know if you are satisfied, as I'd like the maintenance tag to be removed.

Zombieapocalypsenow (talk) 18:15, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Zombieapocalypsenow: That's the unreliable and disputed uses of Amazon as a source. Otherwise, I may open a RFC on the subject. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 18:24, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised Amazon isn't accepted as a primary resource. The author's page is there and all his titles are listed with all publication data and links to purchase. Amazon is the best source for an online retailer as some of the titles are published exclusively through Amazon. In my view, it is reliable. Has there been a problem with using Amazon as a source in the past, and if so, what was it out of curiosity?

But okay, I changed citation 1 to the author's website. Is that acceptable? There really is no other way to cite it, I'd have to delete the citation otherwise. Please let me know, thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zombieapocalypsenow (talkcontribs) 22:19, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Zombieapocalypsenow: I'm mostly neutral by using the authors website, so I may probably accept that source. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 22:27, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@KGirlTrucker81: Okay, both of the problematic citations have been addressed, hopefully to your satisfaction. I hope you will remove the maintenance tag or authorize me to do it. I also hope you will let me know whether there have been issues with Amazon being cited but it ending up not being a reliable source. I'm just curious why it's not considered a reliable source. Thanks again ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zombieapocalypsenow (talkcontribs)

@Zombieapocalypsenow: You're free to do it yourself as any editor can remove it once it's addressed. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 00:03, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I have tried to add that Rakie Ayola is patron to my charity Childhood Tumour Trust. I do not know what a citation is. if you go to our website www.childhoodtumourtrust.org.uk you will see that Rakie is our patron - under supporters.

Rejected Draft: Sleep With Me Podcast

Hello KGirlTrucker81, thank you for reviewing my draft! However, I'm not sure why the subject isn't considered notable. I cite numerous sources including the New York Times, New Yorker, etc. I can remove the citations to the podcast's own website if that would help. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Spurious redirects of name spelling variants

Greetings KGirlTrucker81! (Can we call you KGirl?) You recently accepted a bunch of redirect requests from 47.151.26.64 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), apparently spelling variants culled from a baby name book or site. Many of those redirects are being contested at RfD, because they point to totally unrelated articles, e.g. Zaria, a city in Nigeria, or Madeline, a series of children's books. Perhaps you would consider deleting all the entries requested by this IP user? Even for those which seem to make sense, I don't see much purpose in redirecting Madyson to Madison, Adilynn to Adeline, or Konner to Conor: targets are dab pages anyway, and we should probably apply WP:CSD#R3. Your thoughts welcome. — JFG talk 07:33, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@JFG: Yes, you call that name to shorten that, but me and Sakura Carlet were accepting those requests, and those problematic requests should been declined. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 12:00, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My Silent Bravery Submission

Hi there, I see that you reviewed the contribution "My Silent Bravery" and said it doesn't meet basic standards. I included over a dozen independent sources as well as a couple dozen external links verifying the information that I provided in the article. I have been practicing with the Wikipedia system and believed this to be my best submission so far (maybe it still is?) I am trying to become proficient, and via the chat room the other mods I spoke to were unsure of why the article was not approved as well. Could you clarify on what point you believe the article to not meet the basic standards? Thanks so much for your time! 375mon (talk) 15:54, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Lacy (musician)

Hello. I came across this article, Steve Lacy (musician) via New Pages Reviewer patrol and noticed a persistent editor moved it from the Draft space to the Main space, but I am not seeing an improvement from when it was a draft. Here is your comment when it was in the Draft space: [16] - it was declined due to poor sourcing. Scrolling down, it can be seen that Swister Twister had also declined this article for the same reason. Perhaps I could have Sister Twister's input and your input here. I am thinking of moving it back to the Draft space. I will also ping @SwisterTwister: to alert them to this discussion. ---Steve Quinn (talk) 05:46, 22 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your feedback, just finished editing the page!

Hi KGirlTrucker81, thanks for taking the time to review my article on Code Therapy! I appreciate the feedback you gave and took it into consideration when I edited the page. There are now more verifiable sources and more content speaking about the notability of the film.

So you know: A few claims on the page still do not have a published, secondary source, but they are simply describing what happens in the film or who worked on the film, so I used the film's website along with IMDB. This seems to be valid under wikipedia's exceptions for reliable sources, since they are not exceptional claims. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability#Self-published_or_questionable_sources_as_sources_on_themselves)

Hello KGirlTrucker81,

Thanks for your message regarding my Ralph McTell edit. It was not a mistake. The anecdote I highlighted was first added to the article by an anonymous user on 29 March 2017. The history shows the following amends:

29 Mar Anecdote added by anonymous user with long hex handle 29 Mar Undone by me 29 Mar Redone by anonymous user with a different long hex handle 1 Apr Deleted by Fitindia after I asked Wiki police for advice 2 Apr Restored by anonymous user with a standard IP address 2 Apr Reverted by Fitindia 2 Apr Restored by IP Man Wiki Police out off ideas so I left it a month 8 May Undone by me 19 Jly Restored by IP Man with feigned justification 23 Jly Lie exposed in article by me
