Nomination of Business Initiative Directions for deletion or help

Help please with Business Initiative Directions entry/article. Hi Edward,

First of all sorry if I'm writing in the wrong place and sorry for my poor English (I'm not an English native speaker) I write to you because you wrote me back, and I have not been able to contact with someone else inside Wikipedia. Neither I understand the way this website works... I find no chat boxes nor anything. I must confess I'm and old man, and perhaps because of that I found this site incredible hostile. I write to you because since august someone posted an entry on Business Initiative Directions. Its a Spanish marketing agency that sells different products and services (I have no economic relation with them, except for the fact that the owner is an old friend and an old man like I) I want to be clear on the fact that yes, I know this company, and yes, 30 years ago (or more I don't recall) I worked with them several times. It's a marketing company, but the entry accuse them of selling "fake awards". They don't sell awards at all. They do advertising and corporate events. In their events they charge a fee, this is no secret, neither is illegal in anyway. They have 50 years operating inside Spain and now inside the European Union legal framework. Their HQ is located behind the Ministry of Defense in Madrid... every soul there knows them. They offer international business gatherings, and charge a fee for that (among other things more related to traditional marketing, like flyers, magazines and banners... they don't do digital because most of them are old people that don't even have social media) This article is destroying them... based on nothing at all but the opinion of a company that got the invitation to the event and got mad because they wanted to go to an business convention in Paris for free... this people then wrote to a so called NGO that decided to wage war on this small Spanish marketing agency. They created the Wikipedia post and used all the bad press against the company to destroy their prestige...everybody has bad press... this is not fair, neither I humbly believe, was the idea behind Wikipedia. I think Wikipedia was meant to be an encyclopedia for humanity. Not a corporate revenge instrument. Please, help us and guide us on how to deal with this. My friend is asking me if their version of the post could be taken into consideration. All complains of the NGO are addressed there, and even a mixed version will be acceptable for them, but what is cruel and brutal for this company reputation is to post only the NGO version... that is not fair.

American film stubs

Hello! While I appreciate your work in adding stub articles to {{WikiProject Film}} with the appropriate stub tags, for American films the country tags should only be used as a last resort. There are over 25,000 Stub-class film articles that fall under the American cinema task force, so please consider using a more appropriate genre stub tag on those articles, instead of the stub tags in Category:American film stubs. Thanks. Very interesting. "25% of new accounts start by creating a new page." - but what %age of that 25% are SPAs, sockpuppets, COI and/or paid editors? Having edited in business-related areas for some years now, I've noticed that the amount of new articles that are either advertising or insufficiently notable is getting out of hand. For the last two days I have been seriously considering leaving WP as a waste of time, so your thanks for an edit I made meant a lot more than you may have realised.

The reason for being disheartened was excessive deletions and calls for deletion. Yesterday I spent time checking these awful people who are so destructive. You were one!

On coming here, I saw the above conversation, which was also enlightening. May I suggest: be bold but be thoughtful, for you tread on dreams... Your actions may add to an oppressive atmosphere that extends from the particular to the general, presumably unintended.

And thank you for your kind words, Protozoon. The Pease family are indeed very interesting, and little in the public eye. And I've started several articles connected to the Grenfell Tower fire.

For many years, it was very rare that I would nominate an article for deletion, having always been more interested in content creation and starting new articles. However, in recent months the volume of new articles which are essentially ads created by paid editors for non-notable businesses and businesspeople has been getting out of hand. So, how can one tell that they are by paid editors? The typical behaviour is that a new editor creates a well-crafted article, does a few edits on it, then never edits again. Said paid editor then creates another account and another article, rinse and repeat. It is those articles that I try to get deleted, and looking at the Contributions of the article creator, not just the article History, can be instructive. If a well-intentioned editor such as yourself was to create an article that I thought read too much like an ad, was poorly referenced or of marginal notability, I would try to help them improve it, and NOT nominate it for deletion! @Seraphimblade: This article should not have been deleted in my opinion, rather I request it be restored and marked for further expanding for following reason: 1. Article about company DataWind , which is famous worldwide for producing cheapest tablets like Aakash for which promotion charge is there in deletion request , is already there on enwiki . 2. Person Suneet Singh Tuli , is already a prominent person whose name as is there in Forbes Imapt 15 list of magazine ; Person has been awarded at global platforms including launch of his innovative and most affordable product by poor Aakash Tablet ;by Ban ki moon , Secretary General of United Nations .
