The article Lee Rowley has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Hi User:Edwardx, any reason why you kept on undoing the changes to SBOBET? The licences info are outdated, aren't these supposed to be updated to the latest one? Turning raw urls to fully formed references
Hi Edward, at the election editathon you showed me how to turn a raw url into a fully formed reference, but I cannot remember where I need to go. Can you give me a link?Leutha (talk) 12:18, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
- Webreflinks It can be a bit slow sometimes, and doesn't work on all URLs (it just struggled with a subscription-only FT one). What I usually do is add content, with any number of URLs at the end of each sentence using <ref></ref>, then run Webreflinks when I'm done. Plus, if you've used a URL more than once, it will give it a <ref name> and reuse that as often as needed. Why have a dog and bark yourself? Edwardx (talk) 12:27, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

I think you should get some second opinions, as the WP policy to which you refer to implies the articles should be deleted for lack of notability! --TBM10 (talk) 15:14, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
- This subject has come up many times before, and I don't see how one can reasonably infer such an interpretation - the policy (WP:GEOFEAT) is clear. Have already left a message on your talk page, and will remove the PROD tags again. Edwardx (talk) 15:21, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
- Perhaps you are confused. Pubs are not "artificial geographical features", they are buildings, and WP policy states that "they require significant coverage by reliable, third-party sources to establish notability." --TBM10 (talk) 15:26, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

On Edgar Sia
I don't see the point of deleting the new information about the Filipino billionaire. I am a Filipino, and adding these edits would complete the entry about Sia. I just want to know your explanation on why you have to delete the other content about him. This violates Wikipedia's sole purpose of letting Editors freely edit articles. It is also supported by citations and facts. Carriedelvalle23 (talk) 15:56, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for your question, Carriedelvalle23. Some of it was already in the Edgar Sia article, some was not appropriate for the lead paragraph, plus you created another version of a reference we already had. As you will see, another editor has reverted your reversion of my edit. Edwardx (talk) 10:20, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Library angel
Can you explain why you think this article should exist, given there is no sourcing? Please explain it here [1]Slatersteven (talk) 09:29, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- I too would be very interested in your response. I look forward to seeing it at the link SS gave you above. -Roxy the dog. bark 10:23, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- Not saying it should not be redirected, just questioning the procedural approach - redirecting an article can be seen as deletion without any AfD process. Someone deleted the content which had sourcing shortly before it was redirected, and a link to Wikipedia:Fringe_theories/Noticeboard#Library_angel in the edit summary (or perhaps on my talk page) would have been helpful. As there has been discussion on the FTN board, I will not be objecting further to the redirect. Edwardx (talk) 12:09, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- But a redirect hadn't been proposed when you removed the prod. In future, don't do that without a proper analysis of why it was prodded. Thanks-Roxy the dog. bark 12:17, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, but the reason you gave, "Not encyclopeadic" provides no real indication of what your reasons for adding the prod might have been. Struggling to see how my deproding was at variance with what is set out at Wikipedia:Proposed deletion. Edwardx (talk) 12:25, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- Which bit was the encyclopeadic bit of the article? I'd love to know. I'm struggling to see any justification for it at all, except your jobsworth approach, which I find silly. -Roxy the dog. bark 12:31, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- What was "Not encyclopeadic" was the fact it relied on self published or non RS sources. It was not fit for inclusion.Slatersteven (talk) 12:41, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- Slatersteven, I don't see how anyone could reasonably infer that from the stated PROD reason. Roxythe dog, "Any editor may object to the deletion by simply removing the tag" - the burden of proof lies with the proding editor to provide a persuasive rationale. And please avoid personal attacks, which are often a good indicator of someone having lost the argument. You may wish to have the last word; I will not be responding again. Edwardx (talk) 12:47, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- Probably wise not to respond. You make yourself look more of a WP:DICK each time you do. -Roxy the dog. bark 12:52, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- This is not helpful
- It's called policy, Edwardx, articles need to be supported by multiple RS in order to establish notability, we should not have to explain that every time. Also the articles talk page mentioned the fact the article was being disused (and it was being disused before the prod).Slatersteven (talk) 12:54, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Edwardx, you have been around a while, so I won't insult you with links to policy. Basically, there were a couple RS available that established "library angel" as something coined by Arthur Koestler, but not enough of them to justify a stand alone article. A sentence or two about the topic was all that the available cited sources could support. And it did not appear that more would be written about it in the future. Since we wish to avoid a two-sentence article, including the material at Arthur Koestler was the obvious solution. - LuckyLouie (talk) 13:11, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- Probably wise not to respond. You make yourself look more of a WP:DICK each time you do. -Roxy the dog. bark 12:52, 13 July 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Joseph David-Jones
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Joseph David-Jones requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. MARK JHOMEL💣💥 13:50, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello! While I appreciate your work in adding stub articles to {{WikiProject Film}} with the appropriate stub tags, for American films the country tags should only be used as a last resort. The article AI Global Media has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No assertion of notability. Seems to fail WP:NCORP and WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Chris Troutman (talk) 11:12, 31 July 2017 (UTC)

Autoconfirmed user for article creation
Hi Edwardx, I'm glad to lend a hand. Have you saw this: Wikipedia:ACTRIAL. scope_creep (talk) 14:54, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks. Very interesting. "25% of new accounts start by creating a new page." - but what %age of that 25% are SPAs, sockpuppets, COI and/or paid editors? Having edited in business-related areas for some years now, I've noticed that the amount of new articles that are either advertising or insufficiently notable is getting out of hand. That's why I'm getting more involved at WP:COIN, and trying to get some of it deleted. Edwardx (talk) 23:52, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
Your thanks
Strange karma!
For the last two days I have been seriously considering leaving WP as a waste of time, so your thanks for an edit I made meant a lot more than you may have realised.
The reason for being disheartened was excessive deletions and calls for deletion. Yesterday I spent time checking these awful people who are so destructive. You were one!
On coming here, I saw the above conversation, which was also enlightening. May I suggest: be bold but be thoughtful, for you tread on dreams... Your actions may add to an oppressive atmosphere that extends from the particular to the general, presumably unintended.
But now I've seen your nice side, so thank you very much. Protozoon (talk) 12:00, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
- And thank you for your kind words, Protozoon. The Pease family are indeed very interesting, and little in the public eye. And I've started several articles connected to the Grenfell Tower fire.
- For many years, it was very rare that I would nominate an article for deletion, having always been more interested in content creation and starting new articles. However, in recent months the volume of new articles which are essentially ads created by paid editors for non-notable businesses and businesspeople has been getting out of hand. So, how can one tell that they are by paid editors? The typical behaviour is that a new editor creates a well-crafted article, does a few edits on it, then never edits again. Said paid editor then creates another account and another article, rinse and repeat. It is those articles that I try to get deleted, and looking at the Contributions of the article creator, not just the article History, can be instructive. If a well-intentioned editor such as yourself was to create an article that I thought read too much like an ad, was poorly referenced or of marginal notability, I would try to help them improve it, and NOT nominate it for deletion! Declined speedy nominations
Hi. I've just declined four of your CSD nominations under WP:G11 in the last five minutes. To be eligible for G11, articles must be unambiguously promotional, and it must not be practically possible to remove promotional content to leave a viable article. You might want to give the guidance another read before nominating more CSDs. Regards, Basalisk inspect damage⁄berate 20:08, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
- Perhaps I have been a tad over-zealous here and there, but they were all eligible under WP:G5 too as I recall. However, with Twinkle one can only choose one criterion. Edwardx (talk) 23:30, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
- I actually think Twinkle allows for tagging under multiple criteria. Otherwise it might be best to do it manually if you have more than one criterion to use. Basalisk inspect damage⁄berate 21:45, 8 August 2017 (UTC)

Deletion of Article "Suneet Singh Tuli"
@Seraphimblade: This article should not have been deleted in my opinion, rather I request it be restored and marked for further expanding for following reason: 1. Article about company DataWind , which is famous worldwide for producing cheapest tablets like Aakash for which promotion charge is there in deletion request , is already there on enwiki . 2. Person Suneet Singh Tuli , is already a prominent person whose name as is there in Forbes Imapt 15 list of magazine [1]; Person has been awarded at global platforms including launch of his innovative and most affordable product by poor Aakash Tablet ;by Ban ki moon , Secretary General of United Nations [2]. [3]I request for review of deletion and request for restoration of article in his name.Guglani (talk) 06:10, 15 August 2017 (UTC) Guglani (talk) 06:10, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
For more references about awards and honours to the person please refer article in Punjabi wiki Suneet Singh Tuli in Punjabi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Guglani (talk • contribs) 07:15, 15 August 2017 (UTC) At least make the text available if it is not possible to restore deleted article, so that article could be created about the person Guglani (talk) 15:18, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- Suneet Singh Tuli was nominated for deletion by me. Seraphimblade deleted it, and you will need to liaise with them about perhaps resurrecting it as a draft. Edwardx (talk) 15:50, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

- Dude whats your problem and why would you even want to delete Quicksilver? How are they irrelevant....do you know anything about the retail industry?
- There seems to be a misunderstanding here. I started the article on Quicksilver (company), and the Wikipedia system alerted me to the fact that somebody else was seeking to delete it! Edwardx (talk) 23:46, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
So then why would you try to delete my articles?? Do you have any knowledge regarding sneaker culture....what makes you an expert about Quicksilver? You MUST work for them, right? PS: I take that back, it should be deleted, I thought this was pertaining to the Quiksilver the clothing company.
