This seems like a mashup of two different characters’ names. The target subject’s name is "Eugene Herbert Krabs", and Victor Krabs is a different character. This redirect seems misleading since there seem to be no sources that cite "Victor" being part of the target’s name, and thus may be some sort of WP:NOTWIKIA issue. I fail to see how this WP:COSTLY redirect with two exclamation points at the end is a likely or helpful search term. Steel1943 (talk) 22:58, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Might even be a WP:G2. wumbolo ^^^ 14:29, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Maybe I was asked to look at this RfD? The page history says this is the title of a SpongeBob book. In which case the redirect should be kept, or maybe retargeted. I can't find any book with this title though, which would make delete a valid result too. Somebody familiar with the material should clarify. SchmuckyTheCat (talk) 22:17, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Delete (read below reply) Whatever the situation/maintenance task of the day was in 2006 I can't recall or justify why this exists now. It's not in my normal editing area. Nothing in what links here or the logs indicates previous conversations. In general I don't believe deleting redirects is useful, but there's nothing to defend here. Not mentioned in target article. These names seem to have some sort of connection to The Great Snail Race, but that is a redirect to a episode list. Otherwise, these names seem like one-shot uses that fail WP:NOTWIKIA targeting their current target. Steel1943 (talk) 22:57, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

All sources I am finding show the target’s subject’s middle name starting with a "Q". In addition, the sources all seem like the "J" came about via failed WP:CRYSTAL back around 2006. Steel1943 (talk) 22:48, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete all except the ugly barnacle which is an iconic meme from the show. Surely we don't have to delete the ugly barnacle, or do we? :-( wumbolo ^^^ 14:29, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep The Ugly Barnacle as it is very well known, delete the rest. Smartyllama (talk) 14:34, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nominator comment: From what I can see via third party search, it seems that the subject "the ugly barnacle" was mentioned in the episode "Something Smells" (a redirect to a episode list article) by Patrick Star, but that seems to be the only time it was ever mentioned. And turns out that this is a character. From what I can see, the subject "the ugly barnacle" has affinity to that episode only, and may not have ever been referenced again in later episodes. My point is that this seems to only be "well known" by experts of the target subject, and has no mentionable notability elsewhere other than WP:NOTWIKIA-ish Internet references like memes. Steel1943 (talk) 16:13, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all per nom. The Ugly Barnacle is a fictional character within the SpongeBob universe, but all that is known about him is that "He was so ugly, everyone died." While I agree that The Ugly Barnacle stands out among the rest for notability, especially thanks to the Internet's love for pre-movie SpongeBob SquarePants episodes, it is only mentioned briefly in one episode and never again AFAIK. If one were to see a meme or hear mention of The Ugly Barnacle and couldn't identify its origin from the series (perhaps, someone who, similarly to Patrick Star, has been living under a rock), one would sooner check that term with a broad search engine like Google instead of WP. Paper Luigi TC 21:28, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I question the usefulness of this redirect. Yes, the concept of "jellyfishing" is exclusive to its target, specifically the eponymous character and Patrick Star, but the redirect’s appearance brings into question that this is a real-world concept. In addition, Jellyfishing is a redirect to an eponymous episode in a list article for the series, and the "hobby" itself is mentioned but not defined in the target, and does not seem to be mentioned or explained in detail elsewhere. It seems as though these redirects are failed WP:CRYSTAL titles for the subject at The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. The redirect is unclear in what it refers to. Per the history of the redirect, this title was used for an article about an 8-bit video game released in 2003; what seems to be the only SpongeBob SquarePants-related video game released in 2003, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, was not 8-bit. Turns out that this is a not an alternative name for the target, but rather an {{R from quote}} stated by Patrick Star directed towards the target article’s subject. From what I’m seeing via third party engines, I don’t think it is notable enough to pass WP:NOTWIKIA to target any place (delete), but if it did target someplace, the best target would probably be ... actually, between SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star and SpongeBob SquarePants (character), I have no idea. Steel1943 (talk) 20:12, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. The quote is definitely insignificant. The closest this comes to any significance whatsoever is that someone at sbmania.net with 9,319 posts has DadMom AngryPants as her username. wumbolo ^^^ 16:13, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This doesn’t seem to be an alternative name for the target subject. • Is Viral actually canceled? The latest reference there said the film was about to "go on floors". I wasn't familiar with the phrase, which I thought meant cancellation, but it turns out to be an Indian English phrase meaning "in production". Regarding Breakaway, I could see some value to holding onto it for a bit longer for readers who may not know that it's been canceled. Eventually, though, it will be outdated; I don't think there's a good argument for keeping the Motorcycle Diaries one 14 years later. --BDD (talk) 16:58, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Watts is actually arguably borderline-notable enough to merit his own article. The main obstacles to such an article would be WP:ONEEVENT, given that his best-known association is with IMS, subject of the target article, and related to that, there's not much written about him other than his work with IMS and related areas. However, someone looking up Watts -- and he's well-known enough that readers would look him up -- are best served by being redirected to the work most prominently associated with him, and which describes his involvement there. • Keep. Seems like a misinterpretation of the linked discussion occurred. The deletion discussion linked above formed consensus that months that happen in the future should be deleted per WP:CRYSTAL; November 2018 happened in the past. Steel1943 (talk) 14:34, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Striking out my comment per the nominator’s clarification. From what I understand, the nominator is stating that Wikipedia includes no information about any instances in November 2018 that the redirect should not exist. I’m not sure if I agree with that, but it’s enough for me to withdraw my opinion to keep this redirect, leaving me neutral. Steel1943 (talk) 16:32, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • (edit conflict) Keep - a very plausible search term for the target. The linked AfD actually came to the conclusion that articles for these per month lists should not be created in advance of that month happening. This is a redirect from a month that has concluded and so the consensus there is entirely irrelevant. Even if there were no documented killings in November 2018 (I don't know), the redirect remains a useful search term given the existence of other articles and redirects in the same pattern. If you have an issue with the target page then nominate it at AfD. Thryduulf (talk) 14:37, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, should have been clearer in my nom. I understand the linked AfD only covered future articles, but I think the same concept apples to past or current months with no (yet) documented events. The existence of a redirect implies that such events took place, when so far there are no reliable sources to indicate they did, and therefore IMO constitutes original research. Say these killings magically stopped: would we continue creating a redirect each month? UnitedStatesian (talk) 14:53, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Per the second last sentence of my comment, that does not affect my opinion of this redirect at all. If these killings magically stop (I hope they do, but I find it unlikely) then we would stop creating per month redirects when it has become clear that they have stopped and people are no longer likely to search for them. The redirects do not imply anything about whether such killings are happening or not - your arguments are relevant to not creating articles about these months, but not relevant to redirects to year articles. • Keep Keep or create article - Keep as a valid search term, as unfortunately, there are likely to have been such deaths. --Jax 0677 (talk) 15:37, 17 December 2018 (UTC) --Jax 0677 (talk) 19:58, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Given that most prior months have featured killings, a reader might plausibly search for this to determine what killings, if any, happened in November. A redirect to where they can find that information is completely appropriate. Certain concerns such as WP:NPOV and WP:CRYSTAL explicitly do not apply to redirects. Smartyllama (talk) 21:57, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Keep - the Shooting of Jemel Roberson, a fairly high profile incident, occurred in November 2018, as well as the Mercy Hospital shooting where the perpetrator was killed by police. Unfortunately there are probably other incidents that were not as high profile. Inter&anthro (talk) 23:56, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I get it that typos exists and we (for the most part) are human, but this just seems implausible to me as a typo. Paper Luigi TC 11:31, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was prcedural close - no longer a redirect. The new stub article can be nominated at AfD if anyone desires that. Thryduulf (talk) 14:40, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The target article no longer has a section "Telegraphing" and the article has no mention of "telegraphing". Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:11, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There was a 2012 discussion which moved the short stub as a section at Foreshadowing. The section at the target was expanded and worked upon, but has since been deleted as they are really different concepts. Since the concept is relevant and notable (and it has several articles targeting to it with this precise meaning), I'm restoring the content as a stand-alone Start-class article with the content that was removed from the section, so that it can be improved. The episode has been renamed "The Flash and the Furious" (https://comicbook.com/dc/2018/12/12/the-flash-and-the-furious-preview-the-cw-/). Or maybe the name "Spin Out" was a rumour. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:14, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is a bit misleading because the redirect sounds like NHL players who only played in the playoffs, no matter how many games, would be listed at the target, but that's not the way the list is defined. -- Tavix (talk) 02:08, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is way too broad of a target for this subject. He's mentioned in passing in a few articles, so deletion to reveal search results seems like the most helpful solution. -- Tavix (talk) 01:35, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
