F1 2011 is an upcoming game from Codemasters based on the 2011 Formula One season.[2] It is the sequel to F1 2010 and will be released on 23 September 2011 for Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A release date for the Nintendo 3DS and the Sony NGP will be announced at a later date.[3][4] The game will also feature a new splitscreen mode, and the game will once again be designed around the company's EGO Engine.
Details
All 12 teams and 24 drivers that will start the 2011 season will feature on the game. The entire calendar of 20 circuits for the season will be available to race on, including the new Buddh International Circuit in India. [5][6]
In the October 2010 issue of the magazine F1 Racing, in an article about F1 2010, Codemasters stated that they would like to put a safety car in F1 2011. They also announced that this time F1 will Challenge the Players by "Be the Driver, Live the Life, Go and Compete" mode.
