Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Paulkumar.A (talk | contribs) at 11:00, 9 June 2015 (→‎Paul Kumar: new section). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in "articles for deletion" debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page.

Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

Instructions for special cases

Not done. Hi Openallnite. That draft blatantly infringed on copyrighted content from various places such as from here and so it will not be undeleted. Please also note that the draft read like an advertisement written by a corporate PR company to such an extent that I might even characterize it as "unsalvageably promotional", and could never have been accepted as written. If you try again – this time without copying and pasting any else's writing – you must write in a very different, neutral manner. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk)

Yotta Solutions

I don't belong to Yotta Solutions company. I am just talking about a big company here in Jordan, since it's an encyclopedia of popular companies that have done such a great achievements. Please take a look on it again. Thank you -Mikon47 (talk) 19:34, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • This has already been deleted five times, including an AFD that did not complete. I suggest that you start with a draft at Draft:Yotta Solutions. Make sure that it includes independent references to show notability. Don't just include the companies it did business for, these are not independent. I'd like to know if any of the deleted edits to this page were made using Twinkle. (Edits made using Twinkle generally have edit summaries ending in (TW).)If so, could you please provide me with the revision details line(s) for those revisions as found in Special:Undelete? Thanks. -— This, that and the other (talk) 07:16, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@This, that and the other: Of the last three edits made to that page, two were CSD reqs made with twinkle:
  • 20:18, May 24, 2015 . . Steel1943 (talk | contribs | block) (1,627 bytes) (Requesting speedy deletion (CSD U2). (TW))
  • (one intermediate revision)
  • 21:45, May 22, 2015 . . Steel1943 (talk | contribs | block) (3,509 bytes) (Requesting speedy deletion (CSD U2). (TW))
They should be in the tagger's CSD log as well. Hope that helps. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 20:08, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That all? OK then, thanks for that. — This, that and the other (talk) 01:38, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • The rest of the notifications are from AFCH, not twinkle. Well, there's one for example that is a G13 but the tag is AFCH not TW. The only two revisions tagged with TW specifically are the ones above. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 23:36, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion undo request: Al Habtoor Motors LLC

This Al Habtoor Motors LLC page was marked for speedy deletion.

With all the respect for Wiki and it moderators, i would like to mention that intention of adding this page was not to promote or advertise this company on Wiki. My intention was to add Al Habtoor Motors LLC company information, I may have added information like Awards won by the "AHM" company which made it sound like it is being marketed.

AHM is one of the leading distributors of several Automotive brands like Bentley, Bugatti, Mitsubishi, JAC Motors etc in United Arab Emirates and deserves to be there like other companies that are listed on wiki.

I would appreciate your help in this regarding or at-least how i can try again to add information about same company on wiki withig the wiki guidelines

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted here or anywhere else; try contacting the deleting administrator (Ritchie333 (talk · contribs)) in order to be emailed a copy of the article as it stood at time of deletion. Also note that "X exists, therefore Y should" is not a valid rationale for retention or undeletion of an article. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 04:16, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please do NOT post the entire contents of the draft here; this page is not for hosting drafts.Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 17:12, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Quite simply, I am the CEO of the company. Unfortunately, I am not a savvy HTML writer so I am struggling to figure out how to respond to your questions in HTML (I thought I responded earlier but it was not saved). The person who requested the undeletion last time was a part-time marketing person who left the firm in the middle of doing the update, so we were unsure about the state of the project until we saw the removal notice from Wikipedia. Now we have HTML-literate summer resources who can help. I can assign this to a summer resource to work on it, but the article needs to be restored first so a junior person can own the project until it is done. It is bad management practice to assign someone a task that you cannot give the person clear deadline to complete because the article is not even restored. Thank you.
@24.5.38.107: Wikipedia does NOT use HTML. It uses a markup language with elements of HTML, but it does not use actual HTML itself for formatting. First, I suggest you read the Wikimedia Foundation Terms of Use with regards to editing Wikipedia, and acknowledge that any employee, intern, or temp you send to do it will be compelled to disclose their relationship with HedgeSPA. Second, I suggest reading our non-negotiable neutrality policy, which a disproportionate amount of paid editors tend to stumble with. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 05:26, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • @24.5.38.107: We were pretty much just looking for a response since this was requested back on May 28th and a new request was added on June 2. We received no response to either one, which is what concerned us the most about this. I know that you can't help an employee leaving in the middle of a project (which is presumably what happened last year), but not replying to the requests on here did raise concern that the draft would just be abandoned again. (IE, if you weren't checking this board then odds are you wouldn't check on the draft either.) I also have to point out that rather than requesting the restoration of the old article you could have just started a new version in the draft space at any time. Restoration is optional, although it can be handy to have the prior sources and content. In other words, there really wasn't anything stopping you from sending an intern to create a completely new draft article (without the prior edit history) in the first place. Draft:Festival Sherpa

The page was deleted because it had not been edited for the last six months. We received an update saying the page would be deleted if it wasn't edited soon and within 8 hours it was deleted before we could take any action, as we didn't have access to a laptop/pc or internet. Would request you to restore the page so we could edit it and send it back for review. Thanks guys. -122.170.104.249 (talk) 11:58, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Biola (brand)

Speedy deletion criteria was A7, G11. I dont agree, its a famous brand in Ukraine and Russia. It produces 170 million liters of water per year at plants in both countries. perhaps a detailed history of the plant was a mistake, I admit it. Was listed a list of brands, I believe it is necessary. Perhaps a detailed history of the plant was a mistake, I admit it. This is a great performance. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it.

There are also articles in Ukrainian, Russian and Norwegian. The company finances the famous football club Dnipro. -Andrew J.Kurbiko (talk) 13:35, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note: The page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion A7, indicating an article that did not explain or prove why the subject was notable. A7 deletions are not overturned here; try contacting the deleting administrator (Chrislk02 (talk · contribs)) instead. Neither the presence of a page on other Wikipediae or fame are enough to justify an article on en.wp; we require multiple third-party sources that discuss the subject in some depth. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 17:58, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

no spam -Libabom (talk) 19:35, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done Libabom, it looks like the page has been tagged with a BLP notice since it lacks reliable sources. If you add at least one reliable source then you can remove the PROD from the article. However this source must be in-depth and independent from Şahin. Coverage from a place that is affiliated with him would not be considered usable. I haven't searched, but given the claims there must be something out there. I will caution you that if you do not add enough sources to assert notability per WP:NBIO, the article can still be deleted via WP:AfD. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:10, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Zen Project Management System

I think that my article should not be deleted, because it is part of a competition, which I must participate in. This competition is not about he best Wikipedia article, but about the software, which is treated from the article. I do not believe that that article is an advertisment. Why does Microsoft exist in Wikipedia then? -Iglimanaj (talk) 05:08, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done Articles deleted via WP:G11 will not be restored on Wikipedia and the article was very promotional. The features section is a good example of this, as referring to the reader as "you" and telling them about how useful the product will be comes across as promotional. This might have been unintentional on your part, but this is a fairly good example as to why people with a conflict of interest should not edit/create articles about something they're affiliated with. As far as it being part of a competition, that's not a good reason for inclusion either- and if anything, I'd highly recommend that you inform the contest holders that making Wikipedia a requirement for the contest is a very bad idea- especially if the contest is for new or obscure software that hasn't received enough coverage to pass notability guidelines. As for Microsoft having an article, their article is on Wikipedia because they pass notability guidelines for software. Saying that WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not really a reason for inclusion since the article in question may pass notability guidelines in a way that this did not or could fail notability guidelines but just have not been detected yet. I feel that the deletion was either a mistake or misunderstanding by some one. All Data was correct -120.150.201.3 (talk) 21:20, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • @120.150.201.3: This was deleted because it was an article about a person that did not contain a reliable source that discussed Millington in depth. Even if the data is correct, all articles must have coverage via reliable sources that would help assert notability. If you can show a reliable source that is independent of Millington (or anyone affiliated with him) then I have no problem re-creating the article. However since it was deleted as a BLP prod we really can't restore it until you do this. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:49, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done Davemoser123, I was going to restore this but unfortunately the page is unambiguously promotional. WP:PEACOCK words like "picturesque", "finest", and "impressive" should not be in the article, nor should sentences like "Both bargains and fun can be found each year at the Bear on the Square Mountain Festival’s Artist Marketplace." I have no problem with you creating a new version of the article, but this was far too promotional to restore. It also doesn't help that it is a potential copyright violation since it takes content directly from this source. Even if you hold the copyright to this content and were willing to file a ticket at WP:ORTS to give permission to use it, you would still have to re-write it entirely to remove the promotional content- which is very promotional. Something I do have to warn you about is that Wikipedia is not here to promote an event (even if this was a secondary or unintentional goal) and that if you have a conflict of interest, you need to be very careful about this. • Not done This was speedily deleted as WP:G11, unambiguous promotion, as well as WP:G13. Since it was tagged as such, this cannot be restored on Wikipedia. Your only real option here is to re-write the content from scratch. We could probably email you a copy of the article's history, but you would need to supply an e-mail for that. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:55, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The page was deleted due to no reliable sources, whereas there were 3 reliable sources of newspaper articles and magazine article from reputed publishing houses from UAE http://www.saltnpeppa.me/dare-to-dream/ http://khaleejtimes.com/kt-article-display-1.asp?xfile=data/uaebusiness/2014/January/uaebusiness_January38.xml&section=uaebusiness http://www.masala.com/the-rising-star-rishabh-puri-40909.html-NGupta123 (talk) 06:56, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done NGupta123, those were listed under the external links and not placed as an inline citation. I did, however, still take a look at the links and this link to the Khaleej Times came up as "no page found". Salt n Peppa doesn't contain any information about its editorial process that Wikipedia could verify, so anything from that site would be considered unusable as a reliable source per Wikipedia's guidelines. This link to Masala.com came up as an error page, so it also couldn't be used as a reliable source. The site does have an editorial board so if you could provide a link to a live news article then that could probably be used as a RS.
However that aside, I also noticed that the article was pretty unambiguously promotional and at best it was written in an extremely non-neutral, casual tone akin to what you'd see on a blog or a Linkedin page. Sentences like "He enjoys learning new things, keeping own self busy, travelling to exotic locations and picking up new hobbies along the way." and "Challenges were indeed a paharder to prove capability and now it seems no challenge in business is too big! " don't fit within Wikipedia's WP:NPOV policy. They're too casual and as a result it comes across like pretty unambiguous promotion. It actually could have been speedy deleted under WP:G11 and I'm mildly surprised that it wasn't. Given that this was one of your first articles, I'd highly recommend that you use WP:AfC to create any future articles since this would give you more time to edit the article and you'd have the feedback of other editors prior to anything getting published. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:19, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tokyogirl79, I have understood, and will try and a re-do to the article with live links of Masala Magazine and Khaleej Times newspaper. However, i have come across many articles which have 1 link to the source, but have written extensively about a person and as you mentioned, they were all unambiguously promotional and were written in casual tone. Why aren't they chosen for deletion ?--NGupta123 (talk) 08:55, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tokyogirl79 Thank you for the tip. I surely will keep a look out for such articles, and will nominate the ones i have read in the past which fit into the criteria you mentioned. I still wonder why the article i wrote earlier was deleted, however at that time, the sources were verified, and its unfortunate that a website had a downlink. I don't see a reason to delete if the content was a bit casual, if a prior intimation was made i could have rectified it. The only reason mentioned was the sources were of external link, and i don't see why a newspaper or a reputable magazine would not fall in the criteria of verifiable source.--NGupta123 (talk) 09:08, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • The problem wasn't just that they were in the external links, but that two of them did not come up with anything at all (error pages) and one did not look like it would be considered a RS per Wikipedia's guidelines. There was also the additional problem that it was very unambiguously promotional, to the point where (as I stated above) it would not be suitable to be restored on Wikipedia. I'll be very honest: if you post another page to the mainspace with phrasing like the one you created then it is extremely likely to get deleted again. I would highly recommend that you use the AfC process and that you read over the guidelines at WP:NPOV, WP:GNG, and WP:RS. Since it was promotional this does raise concerns of a conflict of interest, so you should also read over the guidelines at WP:COI. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:27, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tokyogirl79 Is there a way where in the future whenever i write an article or this one per say, i can get it approved before its posted ? Because many a such articles are floating about wikipedia which makes no sense to a reader because the person who they write about haven't contributed to society in any way. The few i have read don't even have a reference, just an external link. If such proof reading is done, then it would make it a lot easier for a contributor to write articles that have not been published here and about those people who have made a difference or contributed to society. -NGupta123 (talk) 10:13, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done Leah.bretti, there are portions of this article that come across like it was taken from a press release, so it's a little too promotional to restore. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:54, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I did some additional searching and it looks like portions were taken from this page, so it's likely that the rest was likely taken from somewhere else. Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text. You could file a ticket through WP:ORTS that gave permission to use the material but since it is taken from official sources (like press releases) it will be too promotional to leave on Wikipedia. I will be honest though- it's extremely difficult for self-published books to gain coverage enough for an entry on Wikipedia. The Book Awards is not a notable award on Wikipedia for several reasons, one of which is that the main page for the site gives off the impression that the organization does promotional work for the winners, possibly for a fee. (Mostly it's that nobody seems to have reported on the award, it looks to be pretty non-discerning with who gets nominated or wins, "wins" can be easily manipulated, etc.) What you need here are things like articles in newspapers, reviews from notable, reliable outlets (Goodreads, Amazon, and blog sources do not count), and similar things that would pass muster at WP:RS/N. • Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sunkalp Energy, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user MelanieN (talk · contribs). @Freddiewoodd: Not done. this article on a living person had very little content (i.e. it would be no great burden to start from scratch), and though the content was not necessarily untrue or an attack on the subject, was of the controversial sort that would absolutely require citations to reliable sources to accompany it (but it had none). It would also be a disservice to you if I didn't tell you that unless you were holding back from writing the type of claims most people naturally include in the first line, this subject has no notability – as we use that word here to indicate the world having taken note of the topic by writing about it substantively in reliable, secondary sources – and so no article will likely be acceptable. This is not any type of judgement on the merit of the person but about whether they are encyclopedic. Almost all of the people in the world are not notable in the sense we mean, including myself.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 23:01, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done This was speedied as WP:A7 (lack of notability for an organization/business) and as WP:G11 (unambiguous promotion). Kishorsh007, articles on Wikipedia must be neutrally written and they must assert notability for the company per WP:NCORP by way of coverage in independent and reliable sources per WP:RS. I can't really see where you'd established that, so as the deleting admin I'm declining your request. (A7s aren't restored here and G11 deletions will not be restored anywhere.) Since you are involved with the company I'd recommend that you read over WP:COI and that if you want to continue trying to create an article, that you go through WP:AfC. I do have to warn you that not all companies pass Wikipedia's notability guidelines and it's not like Linkedin or CrunchBase where anyone can add information about themselves or their company. • Having two draft copies will not improve the chances of this getting accepted. At most it looks like this was an attempt to write an article about the three short stories (as opposed to the collection), but as the currently live version of the article already mentions them, there's no real need for this other page to be restored. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:52, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'll be honest- if this is going to be accepted (assuming you can find coverage to show that this passes NBOOK) it's going to be the version that's already live. The deleted version would be declined on multiple accounts and doesn't expand on anything that isn't already covered at the draft space. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:54, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for the reasons stated by Jeremy above. I was the deleting admin so I will leave it to others but let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, the above title was created by User:Schansler almost simultaneously with User:Schansler/sandbox, containing the exact same content, which was subsequently moved to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Neudesic, LLC, which was declined by DangerousPanda, just as the deleted, duplicative, ultimately G13'ed draft named above was declined by APerson and Onel5969. It was then moved to Wikipedia:Neudesic, LLC by Schansler, which appears have been an attempt to move it to the mainspace out of process and while still declined, but it ended up in the Wikipedia namespace, where it should not be, and where it remains as of now.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 23:11, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I, AWolgs, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. AWolgs (talk) 21:21, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@AWolgs: Not done While many people do this without any bad intent or knowledge what they were doing is not allowed, that draft blatantly infringed on copyrighted content by copying and pasting content from here, which was also plagiarism as it presented this content as if written for the article, without acknowledging it was someone else writing. For those reasons it cannot be undeleted. In the event the original source of the writing found elsewhere is actually you, it still could not be used without a verifiable release of the content to the world under a suitably free copyright license.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 21:55, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • AWolgs, if you are editing on behalf of Mason then you can have him file a ticket through WP:OTRS, but make sure that you are careful about two things:
First is that while this would give Wikipedia permission to use the material, it's almost always better to just re-write the material in your own words. This is because most material of this nature was written with the intent to promote the person and as such, will likely contain WP:PEACOCK phrasing that would be considered inappropriate for Wikipedia. Material taken from somewhere else is almost always contested in some form or another (as many associate this with promotional editing), which leads to the inevitable re-writing. It's just easier in the long run to re-write it in your own words. I've edited articles where content was fairly neutral, but the usage of the material caused the article to be continually bombarded with promotional tags.
Secondly, if you are editing on behalf of Mason you will need to look over the WP:COI guidelines and declare a conflict of interest. You can still edit with a COI, but you will need to be transparent about doing so. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:13, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Peghd. This was undeleted at your request on May 19. Are you aware that at the top of every page there is a link for your contributions? There you can see edits you've made and thus easily find both your prior request and the result, and your live edits to the page. It is currently at Draft:Society of Quantitative Analysts, which the above link redirects to.

Also, I am curious what prompted you to post your request three different times. I am not criticizing you for doing that, I am actually asking. We see this constantly at this page (and rarely elsewhere) so I know there must be something about the process that results in that, but I have not been able to pin down just what it is. Can you tell me the process of how your posting here came about? It might help us fix a problem.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 03:11, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It might not be a bad idea to add this in, just to make sure that the editor/requester has been made completely aware of the response. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:41, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2= Sir, I got a message on my email that my newly opened wikipedia account has been deleted because it violated some of your rules. I am so sorry for it because I did not know what wrong I did. Actually I do not have the time or technical know-how to learn about such things on internet. However I do wish to retain my account, but please guide me what went wrong. I thought that my page would tell the world that I have been writing so many books in English that are based on Indian literature which are yet not available to the world because they haven’t been translated and explained in English. I have no ulterior motive. If any thing I wrote violated your policies, I will withdraw it and suitably amend my post. So, please be kind to advice me what to delete and what to retain. But do not delete my page completely, which I opened with great expectation and clean heart. If there was any violation it was unintended and done because I did not know what is to be uploaded and what not. I thought that my bio-data would come under the category of ‘living biography’, but I realise that I may have inadvertently overstepped certain limits of which I was and am still unaware. So Please help. With thanks. Ajai Kumar Chhawchharia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajai Kumar Chhawchharia (talkcontribs) 17:13, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done Ajai Kumar Chhawchharia, the issue with the user page is that you were using it as a basic profile akin to how people will create profiles on sites like Linkedin or on a personal blog/website. It was fairly promotional in how it was written and terms/phrases like "countless numbers of wonderful and rare e-books in standard PDF format" are not permitted on Wikipedia. There's really no way that you could re-write this, as a user page on here is not the same as a user page on other sites. While you can have some personal information the page should only be about yourself as it pertains to your editing on Wikipedia. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 17:30, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alright sir, I realise my mistake. Can I at least restore a blank ‘user page’ to start all over again? If yes, then how. Another point, can I upload a write-up or part of my book here, or not? At the end of such write-up or article, can I add my full contact details or my original website or not? I made a mistake without knowing that what I posted was not allowed on wikipedia. So please help me to restore a blank ‘user page’ with guidance on above points. Thanks Ajai Kumar Chhawchharia — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajai Kumar Chhawchharia (talkcontribs) 17:48, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ajai Kumar Chhawchharia, no- your user page should not contain information about your book or your contact information. I have to restate that this user page should only contain information about you editing on Wikipedia. It is not to be used to spread awareness of your book, yourself, or your website. Wikipedia is not Linkedin. I do have to ask and I hope this doesn't sound too brusque, but are you planning on editing Wikipedia outside of this user page or on any topic other than yourself? If not, you need to be aware that Wikipedia is not a place to promote yourself and it is not a website. You might want to look into places like Wikia, as they are more easygoing with user content and creating pages like that would be permitted. If you are, then you can re-add some limited information but again, it should ideally be about things that you plan on editing as far as Wikipedia goes. Some small personal information is OK, but it should not come across as an attempt to promote anything. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 18:41, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@DbarryGSA: Not done and will not be done. The article has not been deleted, but your addition to it was hopelessly promotional and will not be restored: "GSA’s dynamic management division... dedicated to the spirit in which the agency was founded... innovative ideas... an exciting new entertainment concept.. original movie-going events like no other... " That was not an encyclopedia article, it was a blatant advertisement, full of puffery, the company telling the world how wonderful it is. Nothing like that is tolerated in Wikipedia.
From your username, I assume you work for the company. I had sources, they were just improperly done. I'll re-do them. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Castmemberzack (talkcontribs) 20:45, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Not done There was no claim of importance. YouTube is not a suitable reference. However if you can find substantial write-ups in magazines or newspapers, that would be good, and creation could be permitted. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:53, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • This feels like it was closely paraphrased or outright taken from somewhere, which would likely explain the somewhat promotional tone to the article. I'm going to do a little more research before restoring this. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:21, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not done JohnDWashington, It looks like this was paraphrased from several different locations like this one. It's not entirely enough to where it's a copyright violation but this does make the article somewhat promotional in how it was written, enough to where I honestly think it'd be better for you to start from scratch. I will e-mail you a copy of the article so you can cull some information from it, but I would recommend that you not repost the information "as is". The article does have issues with sourcing, but I do have to say that the tone will also need to be dealt with or it runs a serious risk of getting deleted via WP:G11 if it makes it to the mainspace. I have to say, this is why Wikipedia discourages editing with a conflict of interest in most cases, since it's likely that you didn't intend for this to come across as promotional- it's just that it's very easy to write in a promotional tone when you have a personal stake in the matter. I'm not saying this in order to discourage you, just to let you know that you have to be very, very careful. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:27, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I, Lassybear, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Lassybear (talk) 22:32, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • This is somewhat promotional in tone. Phrases like "has always had a passion" should be avoided at all costs and you should always refer to the subject by their last name, as using the first name comes across as too casual and as such, can make an article look more promotional. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:29, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not done, this is just a little too promotional to restore as is. Lassybear, I'm willing to e-mail the article to you so you can pull information from it, but you need to enable your e-mail account before I can do this. I can e-mail it to the account used to open up Dkozko6, if you have access to that. On a side note, it looks like it's likely that you are either Kozko or someone working for him in some context, so I'd really recommend reading over the conflict of interest guidelines before proceeding further. Safeconcerts

It seems that someone was kind enough to make a page for our website, but as we fight against ticket fraud and scams, someone has taken offence to it and got it deleted. I didn't have any part in the creation of the article and I would rather see it back and edit it to our current status that never be able to get included again. The delete reasons seem to be based on the fact that they objected to the fact that we are recommended by a number of news sources and websites. Thanks. -DerrenNugent (talk) 12:06, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ethel Farrell

The article is about Mrs. Ethel Farrell, the Doyenne of Australia - the oldest living person in Australia. It should be undeleted, because it concerns a notable person - Mrs. Ethel Farrell, who being born in India, is currently the oldest living person of a big country with long history of research into extreme longevity. 112 years of age is a remarkable achievement. All the necessary citations to sources have been provided. These include: article issued on occasion of her 110th birthday, another article issued, when at age 111, Mrs. Farrell became the oldest living person in Australia, and the most important one - citation of the Gerontology Research Group, an international scientific organization, which being the world's leading authority in extreme longevity tracking, has successfully verified the authenticity of Mrs. Farrell's age. This means, that apart from being the oldest living person of Australia, Mrs. Farrell is also the 2nd oldest verified person, who was born in India, which makes her even more notable. Finally, this article has been deleted despite the advantage of votes for "keep" - there were 10 votes for "keep" against 5 votes for "delete". in my opinion, the following reasons make it rational to reconsider whether the deletion of the article was the appropriate thing and if so, undelete the article. Sincerely. Waenceslaus (talk) 21:04, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
