Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7 or G11 be undeleted here.

If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

Re-looking at the label, the international logo of Columbia Records, consisting of the label name within the music note symbol, doesn't look copyrightable in the US. However, the logo is probably meant for international distribution. I found one from 1957, possibly the earliest. If the logo is not copyrightable in the US, then the previous versions should be undeleted. Should change from "fair use" to "PD-ineligible-USonly" as the information is too factual for copyright. -George Ho (talk) 07:54, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@George Ho: I am not a lawyer, but I would think it's copyrightable. Although the logo consists of a circle, musical notes, and typefaces, the construction of those elements, with the words conforming to the shape of the eighth-note flag, is novel. It looks like a very similar construction as the Car Credit City logo described in the sidebar of the threshold of originality article, in which the CCC decoration by itself was deemed too simple to be protected, but a more complicated version, using an arrangement strikingly similar to that Columbia logo, was accepted for registration. One can probably argue either way, but in this case it would be best to play it safe and consider it copyrightable. ~Anachronist (talk) 08:19, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was advertising and exactly what it was when I tagged it, it was so blatant, there were no conceivable improvements to suggest it was anything else but advertising. Pleas see WP:What Wikipedia is not, as these materials are never restored regardless of "improvements". Loena Hendrickx

I proposed this article for deletion a year ago and it was deleted uncontroversially ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Loena_Hendrickx ). Since that time, I believe she has met the criteria for inclusion, winning two senior international medals (silver at the International Cup of Nice and NRW Trophy) and senior gold at the Belgian Championships. Userfy to User:Ahnoneemoos/sandbox. I'm not sure if this article is about a politician that was running for the 26th Senate of Puerto Rico. I need to check the content first before requesting a full undeletion. CapoRumba

The reason i hadn't edited the article is because nothing had changed. My partner and I had a baby and the caporumba activities were put on hold. Now they start again with a monthly party starting in January 29th 2017. it's my belief that after this date we will get reviews and possibly TV interest and the article can then be edited and re apply for inclusion. In short I originally removed this assuming it wasn't ever going to be accepted however an admin believed my message on the users TP as well as the removal could've been taken as me being an admin - This wasn't ever the intention and it certainly wasn't my intention to perhaps decieve or mislead if that makes sense, In hindsight I should've left a better edit summary as well as a better talkpage message, In short my edits were in Good Faith and I was simply trying to help, Ofcourse infuture I shan't remove anything from this page again and infuture talkpage messages I shall be clearer, I apologise for the unintentional disruption caused, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 01:23, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
In this case a COI editor was doing the right thing in using WP:AFC. The draft was not written in a promotional style and so could be retrieved. But first wait for the user to get a new username. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:33, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and restored this anyway because the blocked user is attempting to get unblocked to change the username, and when that happens there's no reason to keep the article deleted. I disagree with the prod reason, "Ben Newman has requested complete removal of his page from Wikipedia for personal reasons", and so would like this article to be restored. Yago Roche

Hello, a few weeks ago I made the page of an artist called Yago Roche Spanish who has sounded on MTVLA, has been nominated for several prizes in Spain and with many news on the network and the user Yintan ordered to "eliminate quickly" without being able to argue Nothing and I consider that the page should be activated again, please consider restoring it. In this case you should ask user talk:Bbb23 as it was both nominated and deleted under speedy delete criterion A7. If there is prize information then perhaps this could be added to a draft.   • I'll ping Jo-Jo Eumerus, as he was the deleting admin at that AfD. Something to be cautious of is that it might not yet really merit a spinoff page, as the article for the show is not that long and there aren't that many released episodes yet. I'm not making a judgement call here, just saying that I've seen it argued in many places that a show doesn't automatically merit a list page for episodes just because they aired, not if there's enough room on the article and there aren't a lot of episodes that have yet aired. The article simply stated what The Bronx Times is and what it does as an independent online newspaper, covering the Borough of Bronx, NY. This person did not offer any constructive criticism, did not offer help, guidance or advice. If he thinks he is some kind of a cowboy, he does not belong here and should be removed. Deleting my article eliminates people's ability to inform themselves what The Bronx Times is. I am frankly in complete disbelief with this person's actions and ask that whoever monitors his actions here look into them more carefully. This totalitarian censorship approach is what we had during communism and fascism in Europe and should not be allowed here. Deplorable! I want my article restored and if needs changing then edited.
