An amazing amount of articles

I'm in awe by how many articles you're able to create and work on. Also, thank you for all the time you've been putting into these articles, especially at Women in Red!

I'm curious -- do you have a specific process for article creation? Either a process for starting the articles, finding the topics, or for keeping track of them/working on them? I'd love to hear any tips or insights, since I'd like to start making more articles myself. Cheers! - Whisperjanes (talk) 03:58, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No process User:Whisperjanes I just follow up on subjects noted in various Wikipedia articles and other readings. Lots of interesting subjects to write on. If you have a particular area of interest I am happy to pass along article subjects as I stumble on them. Keeping a list somewhere is helpful. Thanks for your kind words and enjoy life. FloridaArmy (talk) 13:08, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm interested in artists, artisans, or game designers (especially women and non-binary folk). So feel free to pass any of those subjects on to me (or any others you think I could help on). Cheers! - Whisperjanes (talk) 01:04, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely false User:RoySmith. We can also see it was a segregated beach area open to African Americans. And that many decades later efforts were made to install a historical marker commemorating its history. FloridaArmy (talk) 13:42, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
FloridaArmy, If the segregation issue is the important part of the story, then that's what the article should talk about. The stuff about it having showers and picnic tables is just trivia and a distraction.
I hate to say it, but you've been editing for a long time and by now you should be learning how to do better research. I'm sure I've said this before, but you would do better to concentrate on really researching a few topics and writing decent articles, rather than this scatter-shot collection of stubs. -- RoySmith (talk) 13:59, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
User:RoySmith the second and third sentences in the article are: "It was established as a state park to provide beach access for African Americans during the era of segregation. After desegregation it was turned over to the Okaloosa County." Please don't misrepresent my work. A beach park having showers is significant information to anyone visiting. Trying to demonstrate that if you take the time you can create a decent article, unlike most of your half baked attempts, which honestly are a waste of every reviewers time. Maybe if you tried for quality over quantity. Dan arndt (talk) 12:13, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cool. Thanks User:RegentsPark. I saw you did a lot of work on the article especially his theater history. FloridaArmy (talk) 22:18, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It was fun. It appears that he was well known in New York and Boston theaterical circles and, with more digging, many more theaterical productions will show up. Quite an impressive number of articles by you BTW. In some ways, restricting you to draft articles has resulted in your being a lot more productive! --regentspark (comment) 22:56, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I could see from the IBDB source he was in dozens of theatrical productions over a quarter century. Plus all his film roles. Notability was obvious and well established but unfortunately a small subset of AfC reviewers are on an ego trip. I dont enjoy the AfC process. It makes my work a lot more difficult and is generally unpleasant. I made lots of articles before the restrictions were put in place too so it hasn't benefitted Wikipedia and has mostly been a time waster for all concerned. A lot of articles on notable subject have also been deleted at Afd because I am prohibitted from participating there. People got mad when their deletion nominations were rejected so some of them came after me. Sad. But it is what it is. User:DGG a former arb just asked for my input on an article at AfD apparently unaware of the editing restirctions imposed on me. No good deed goes unpunished here. :) Party on. Thanks again for your good works. Let me know if I can ever help with anything. FloridaArmy (talk) 01:37, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not gaming anything. Clearly meets criteria 1 and 3 of the Entertainer criteria. If you took it to AfD you'd be laughed at and ridiculed. Don't obstruct. FloridaArmy (talk) 23:49, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draff:Hugh Dierker requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your submission at Articles for creation: Lucius Brooks (May 29)

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Sulfurboy was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: This was already rejected by a fellow editor. You skirted our policy and resubmitted it anyways and then after it was decline you resubmitted it again with no improvements of substance. If this is submitted again without a major overhaul it'll need to be taken to MfD.

Comment About Stubs

Two of your stubs were showing up in Category:Pending AfC submissions less than 450 bytes long, but were not submitted. I have commented to User:Primefac, who may be the originator of the category, that unsubmitted drafts should not show up in the category, because the purpose of the category should be to contain drafts that may be problematic.
