The Japan Railway Journal is a Japanese English-language television programme by NHK World. It covers various railway-related topics and presents Japanese technology to an international audience[1]. The host, Nathan Berry (since 2018), and Ryō Takagi (Professor at Kogakuin University) discuss the episodes' topics together with changing guests[2]. Between these conversations, video segments and reports are shown. Frequent themes of the show are tourist trains, innovative strategies of smaller railway companies as well as new vehicles.
