Mukta Tilak

Mukta Shailesh Tilak (b 1965) is an Indian politician. She has been elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Kasba Peth in the 2019 state elections as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party.

She was elected Mayor of Pune for the period 2017 to 2019. Tilak is the first member of the BJP to hold the Mayor's position.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Personal life

Mukta Tilak is daughter-in-law of Jayantrao Tilak (1921-2001), who was B. G. Tilak's grandson.
