Dams and reservoirs under construction in various parts of Afghanistan
- Aino Mina Dam and reservoir in the city of Kandahar (mainly for providing fresh water to the city residents).
- Dahan Dara Dam in northwestern Faryab Province[16]
- Kunar Dam in Surtak (approximately 300 MW)[17] in Kunar province, to be constructed in the next 12 years after 2013.[18]
- Lawari Dam in Kandahar Province[19]
- Manogi Power Dam in Kunar province, which will generate approximately 1000 MW of electricity.[20][21]
- Palto Dam in Sharana, Paktika Province[22]
- Shahtoot Dam in the Char Asiab District of Kabul Province, which will cost around $230 million to build.[23][24]
- Two dams in Baghlan Province[25] One is named Pul-e-Khumri Dam. [1]
