List of foreign Indian Super League players

This is a list of foreign players in the Indian Super League.[1] The following players:
- Are considered foreign, i.e., outside India:
- A player is considered foreign if he is not eligible to play for the national team of India.
More specifically,
- If a player has been capped on international level, the national team is used; if he has been capped by more than one country, the highest level (or the most recent) team is used.
- If a player has not been capped on international level, his country of birth is used.
Up to now, 72 different nations have been represented in Indian Super League.
Current Foreign Players
The number of foreign players allowed in the squad is a maximum of seven and a minimum of six. However the maximum number of foreign players allowed on the pitch is five.
