Because This Is My First Life[2] (Korean: 이번 생은 처음이라; RR: Ibeon Saengeun Cheoeumira; lit. This Life Is Our First) is a 2017 South Korean television series starring Lee Min-ki and Jung So-min about different points of view on careers, relationships and marriage. The series marks Lee Min-ki's first small screen lead role since 2007. It aired on tvN every Monday and Tuesday from October 9 to November 28, 2017 at 21:30 KST.[3][4][5][6]
Synopsis
IT employee and socially awkward Nam Se-hee (Lee Min-ki) marries homeless writer Yoon Ji-ho (Jung So-min) by signing a contract of two years. Both parties agree to the terms and conditions of being just landlord and tenant. They plan to share the flat based on common goals and values, but without any feelings involved. Things don't go as planned since the housemates fall prey to their personal trauma, social expectations and familial interventions.[7] The movie also follows the lives of Ji-Ho and Naam Se-hee's friends and their different perspectives on love and marriage.

- A quirky and apathetic computer designer who has bought an apartment and is in the process of paying off the mortgage. He would rather spend his days with his cat than date or marry. So he can pay off his mortgage faster, he rents out the extra room in his townhouse. He is in need of a new tenant as the previous tenant breached some clauses in the lease terms and conditions. He mistook Ji-ho for a guy and rated him the highest compared to previous tenants.

- An assistant screenwriter who decides to move out when her brother's partner got pregnant. Currently broke, she took the available room Se-hee was renting because it did not require a deposit. She initially thought Se-hee was a girl. She is under constant pressure trying to appease her family and friends while continuing to pursue her dream of becoming a successful writer.

Production
The series is directed by Park Joon-hwa and written by Yoon Nan-joong. It is produced by MI Inc.. The first script reading session of the cast took place on August 25, 2017 at Studio Dragon in Sangam-dong.[1][8]
