CD Block

Chalkusha is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Barhi subdivision of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

History

Chalkusha was created a new block in 2009.[1]

Geography

Chalkusha is located at 24°14′39″N 85°44′11″E / 24.244039°N 85.736392°E / 24.244039; 85.736392.

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Chalkusha CD Block had a total population of 52,068, all of which were rural. There were 26,952 males and 25,116 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 7,224 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 784. [2]

Literacy

As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Chalkusha CD Block was 28,499 out of which 17,969 were males and 10,530 were females.[2]
