Chengdu Railway Station (simplified Chinese: 成都火车站; traditional Chinese: 成都火車站; pinyin: Chéngdū Huǒchē Zhàn) is one of the 3 major railway stations in Chengdu, China, the others being Chengdu South Railway Station and Chengdu East Railway Station.
The station is located on North Second Ring Road, Jinniu District, to the North of the city centre. It is governed by Chengdu Railway Bureau and is one of the most important hubs of the railway network in China.
Nicknames
This railway station is commonly called by locals as "Huǒ Chē Běi Zhàn"(North Railway Station), as the connecting Chengdu Metro station is called. However, confusingly there is another officially named Chengdu North Railway Station, 17km north of this station, which is a large freight marshalling area and handles no passengers.
Connections
Chengdu Railway Station is the terminus of the main Baoji–Chengdu railway line, Chengdu–Chongqing railway line, Chengdu–Kunming railway line, Chengdu–Dujiangyan high-speed railway line, and Dazhou–Chengdu railway line.
