Gelugor, or Glugor, is a southern suburb of George Town, Penang. Named after a plant species, Asam Gelugor,[1] Gelugor is located between the suburbs of Jelutong and Sungai Dua. It is also near some of Penang's prominent landmarks, such as the Penang Bridge [2] and Universiti Sains Malaysia.[3]
