Hawija District

Template:Infobox district of Iraq Hawija District (Arabic: قضاء الحويجة, romanized: qaḍāʾ al-Ḥawīǧa) is a district in southern Kirkuk Governorate, northern Iraq. Its administrative center is the city of Hawija.
Hawija district has approximately 450,000 inhabitants, the vast majority of them Sunni Arabs, with the rest being Shia Turkomans and Kaka'i Kurds. Most of the inhabitants live in rural areas.
