History
In 1932, Henry Schein borrowed $500 and opened a pharmacy in Queens, New York. Schein and his wife, Esther, grew their small pharmacy into a FORTUNE 500 company. Henry Schein, Inc.® is now the world's largest distributor of healthcare products and services to office-based dental, medical and animal health practitioners in over 190 countries around the world.[3] The company now serves approximately 240,000 health practices through operations or affiliates in 21 countries outside of North America.[4]
