Triumph Terrier Gaffer's Gallop citation

[edit]

A new book about the Gaffer's Gallop is the perfect citation for this publicity event. The book is: Travelling With Mr Turner by Nigel C Winter 2011 Panther Publishing ISBN 978 0 9564975 4 3. 213.123.135.235 (talk) 23:57, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is also a good photo of a Triumph T15 Terrier in wikimedia commons- can this be uploaded on this page ?213.123.135.235 (talk) 00:04, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Edward Turner.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Edward Turner.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

This notification is provided by a Bot --CommonsNotificationBot (talk) 10:41, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The deletion is dissapointing as the photographs were supplied by Edward Turner's family fro his personal album, free from copyright, specifically so I could publish them on wiki 213.123.135.235 (talk) 10:31, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

– The motorcycle designer is not the primary topic of this common combination of given name and surname. Sure, he was a great designer of motorcycles, but he didn't invent the motorcycle. Looking at pageviews for just the top six holders of the name over the past two years, the motorcycle designer gets less than 45% of views. BD2412 T 03:08, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
