December 2016[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at WeChat, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 11:15, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to General Secretary of the Communist Party of China. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Warning for unsourced and unencyclopaedic comments not only on this article but also on other articles. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a fanblog!Tom | Thomas.W talk 11:24, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Tencent. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Wolf Warriors 2 has been reverted.
Your edit here to Wolf Warriors 2 was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (http://sgmoviebiz.blogspot.sg/2017/08/annabelle-creation-conjures-up-1-scares.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 12:04, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Baidu[edit]

The two links you added

"Baidu bets its future on AI revolution". Financial Times. 30 August 2017.
"Baidu, Ele.me deal consolidates online catering market". China Daily.
have nothing to do with the content " Baidu announced plans to merge with Taihe Entertainment Group to help the service compete with Apple Inc.'s Apple Music".

Alibaba Group ‎[edit]

Please don't add peacock term to wikipedia. GoGoVan is a SMEs in Hong Kong, don't bluffing that the merger would create any giant. Matthew_hk tc 16:08, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm citing information from the articles themselves, I didn't mention it WILL create any giant, but "potentially" and "with plans" to. I also didn't mention anything about GoGoVan not being a company based in Hong Kong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.60.155.197 (talk) 16:12, 30 August 2017‎
The word "potentially" already a peacock term and Wikipedia:crystal. Matthew_hk tc 16:14, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed from "potentially" to "help", is it still a peacock term in your perspective? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.60.155.197 (talk) 16:22, 30 August 2017‎

The asnwer is no. Matthew_hk tc 16:25, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing out my mistakes, great talking to you. I will improve on the way I edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.60.155.197 (talk) 16:27, 30 August 2017‎

You have tons of warning above, adding unrelated citation , removing total fine contents, bluffing for the companies.....you have to stop these behavior, or someone will block this ip from edit again. Matthew_hk tc 16:31, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes most of my warnings are because of having no source, which I didn't know when i started editing. I didn't know there's a message column only after some time. After those incidents I started to put sources to whatever I'm editing in Wikipedia, and I'm pretty sure I've added in and contributed to tons of pages. For the rest, I will try to learn from them (e.g. Unrelated citation, removing fine contents, bluffing), but a few of the warnings to be honest I don't understand and definitely weren't aware. As I was saying, I'm trying to learn how wikipedia works. I will make sure I won't be blocked by preventing some of the unnecessary things — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.60.155.197 (talk) 16:39, 30 August 2017‎

Hello. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person (Zhao Wei), but that you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. Information icon Hello, I'm Semmendinger. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Korean Wave, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. While what you might be adding good information, it's not anything listed in the source nor did you supply a source to assert your claim. Please also use American English on that page (behaviour -> behavior). If you have any questions just ask. SEMMENDINGER (talk) 14:35, 14 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello 42.60.155.197, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to 2017 League of Legends World Championship have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 93 10:17, 22 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
