I've removed the speedy deletion request as the article doesn't qualify for a speedy deletion. I'm not clear why you thought it did. Dougweller (talk) 17:56, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, it was just that the text didn't seem to be at all coherent; it has been improved somewhat now, but the lead section is still not clear about the mythological nature of the subject of the article.  ajmint  (talkedits) 18:02, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I take your point, but the subject is notable enough for an article, it just needed fixing. Why not fix it yourself? Dougweller (talk) 18:33, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't feel I knew enough about the subject to rewrite the article; I apologise for my mistake.  ajmint  (talkedits) 19:37, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, no problem, we all make mistakes on Wikipedia! Dougweller (talk) 05:30, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

About Metheus

[edit]

Hello. Metheus is my official name as a linguist, a poet and an activist. I want to publish an article with the name Metheus so I can own the page. I need your understanding. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MeteMetheus (talkcontribs) 10:17, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Unfortunately, as an encyclopedia, articles here need to meet certain standards: to simplify things, they need to say why they're important to not get deleted quickly, and actually be worth of inclusion ("notable") to not be deleted soon. Your article has been tagged for "speedy deletion", which means that if an administrator agrees with me that it doesn't demonstrate importance, it will be deleted quickly.
Another important thing to know is that nobody owns Wikipedia articles: they are all collaborative efforts, and you cannot stop people making changes to them because of your attachment. Wikipedia also discourages people from making an article about themselves, as that creates what's called a conflict of interest.
So, unless you can demonstrate your worthiness of an article with reliable sources and let someone else re-write the article from a neutral point of view, your article will most likely be deleted as it is not suitable for inclusion in an encyclopedia.
Thanks!  ajmint  (talkedits) 10:30, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect Software Engineer page to Computer Science Engineer link.

[edit]

Sorry But i just want to redirect Software Engineer page to Computer Science Engineer link. But i don't know how to redirect a page so i copied that page, edit some lines and published that. Again Sorry for such inconvenience.

Wiki GSD (talk) 13:51, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved the page to its correct capitalisation and redirected it to software engineer, the established article on the subject. If you just made the page so you could use different wording on your user page, you should look at piping.  ajmint  (talkedits) 14:49, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot

Speedy deletion declined: TALK2ME

[edit]

Hello Ajmint, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of TALK2ME, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 16:25, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot figure out how to include references. I wanted to use info from the website Drogrady.com as well as the text TALK To Me Communication moves to get along with anyone by Dr. Dennis O'grady Jessbear14 (talk) 16:45, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Talk2Me, which you proposed for deletion. I am leaving this message here to notify you about it. I have removed the WP:PROD tag due to the addition of secondary sources as well as my intent to continue building on the article and working to get it up to standards. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to it. Instead, feel free to list the article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ric ashley smith requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Spartaz Humbug! 19:28, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kicking Bishop Brennan up the Arse, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Arthur Matthews (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Page Curation newsletter

[edit]

Hey Ajmint. I'm dropping you a note because you used to patrol new pages. This is just to let you know that we've deployed and developed Page Curation, which augments and supersedes Special:NewPages - there are a lot of interesting new features if you want to get back into the swing of patrolling :). There's some help documentation here if you want to familiarise yourself with the system and start using it. If you find any bugs or have requests for new features, let us know here. Thanks! GA Review

[edit]

Thanks a lot for your time. Your review was certainly one of the more comprehensive reviews I have had on here, which makes it all the more appreciated. I think I fixed everything you suggested, whilst also changing a couple of other minor issues I spotted (some bits of the article was written rather hastily, whilst others had been left in a sandbox for three months!). I usually reply on a point-by-point basis, but seeing as there was a lot to do, I made all my edits first before replying on the talk page. Eshlare (talk) 10:08, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Some really good observations! Think I've tackled everything this time around :-) Eshlare (talk) 14:28, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Blackadder Goes Forth

[edit]

Hello, the episode page is looking really good. As for the reference, I'm afraid I can't really recall. I was still at university at that point, so it may be that I accessed the journal via something like JSTOR perhaps? Alternatively, I quite often used to use Google Books for finding references, so it may be that it's available somewhere there; I may have even cheated and referenced Badsey using another book that referenced the journal, if you see what I mean. Sorry I can't be more help. Bob talk 10:20, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I recently reviewed that episode page for GA! See my comments. TBrandley 15:30, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Blackadder Goes Forth Goodbyeee.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Blackadder Goes Forth Goodbyeee.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:17, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Mais où est donc Ornicar ? may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
