The Voice Series Overview

Hey, hope you're doing well. Let's talk. For Team Alicia, the slightly brighter orange that I tried implementing actually matches the colour scheme of the table better than the original orange. The brighter orange matches Miley's bright pink, Kelly's sky blue, and Gwen's light red. It is literally the exact same shade as the original orange (just a bit brighter) so it's clearly not a matter of me not liking orange or saving the orange for somebody else (which is stupid and not how colours work). In terms of the argument that Adam's and Blake's colours should not be overpowered, that's already done. Adam's and Blake's colours are SO faded! Literally, every other darker colour (which are a lot of colours) will overpower them, including Shakira's purple, Miley's pink, Gwen's red, Kelly's blue, and John's green. That argument holds no substance.

Please note that, as per Wikipedia's guidelines, I've already tried reaching out to Bsems on his talk page to resolve the conflict peacefully but he hasn't responded yet. :(

I look forward to hearing from you soon! Take care and have a great day/night!!! :D

Hi! I’m gonna let Bsems answer this. They seem to be better-versed in this page, and I’m afraid we might give two different opinions and put you in a bad position. Thank you for reaching out to me - I’m glad you are very passionate with this ! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 19:06, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

This is not me being snippy, it's having a sense of humour. Given at least 5 friends of mine have tested positive for COVID-19, I'm not editing much because I just feel on edge too often. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 23:17, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

@Doggy54321: Haha I'm glad you liked it. Have a Great 2021!! Also, I don't know if I should be writing this here but here I go; I just saw that you accepted an edit on The Voice Australia from the IP 123.203.105.62. I ask you please for not doing that without checking first what kind of edit they did. This user has been vandalizing many The Voice pages since June 2020, circa. I warned them sometimes and then, eventually, blocked them; but apparently, the block didn't work. I guess I can't block people yet or I just didn't do things correctly, I don't know... And, to be honest, it's really frustating to see their bad edits being accepted... Sorry, if I'm bugging you with this. MarcioRob2 (Talk!! :D) 16:30, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: hey. Super sorry, I didn't look into their history. I just saw their edit and thought it was indeed constructive. You aren’t allowed to block people, only administrators can. You can report them at the administrative intervention of vandalism (but they need to have been vandalizing for a long time), long-term abuse (they have to be a long-term vandal, which it kind of sounds like they are, six months is a long time), or the incidents noticeboard. Hope this helps! D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 19:16, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: Don't worry, it's okay!! Thank you so much for the information! It does help, indeed. :) MarcioRob2 (Talk!! :D) 02:00, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Ariana Grande discography sales

Are you the one editing the article over and over again cause the sources says she's sold 52.5M digital sales not 63M, and that calculates 79M with her 19.5M sales in the U.K. not 88.9M records sold please stop doing that cause is false information Moonlight Entm (talk) 04:31, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Huh? No I’m not, I don’t think I’ve even made many edits to that page. I wasn’t doing that, as that would be edit warring and would get me blocked, but maybe it’s best if you notify the user(s) who is/are doing that. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 04:34, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Not notable enough, major search engine returns only 1 source. – Paper9oll (📣 • 📝) 15:29, 28 December 2020 (UTC) Yep. D🎅ggy54321 (ho-ho-ho) 15:30, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

There are many sources not one, but they are on weibo and for my understanding weibo is the biggest chinese site, but it is via blacklist so i cant enter the links from that site — Preceding unsigned comment added by ITIRIKBP (talkcontribs) 17:17, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

If the link is blacklisted then it cannot be used. Links are blacklisted for a reason , so if the site was blacklisted, that means it was deemed so unreliable that it could never be used on Wikipedia. D🎉ggy54321 (happy new year!) 13:18, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

@Doggy54321 I understand very well what blacklist, blacklisted means and why, but from your answer I also understood that I know even more than you do. Weibo is the biggest Chinese site, the reason of blacklist is the Chinas strict data controls that may limit independant spread of data. So the question still remains as how can you consider one of the biggest Asian Award Ceremonies to be not notible enough. Apan, melon, Genie music awards are note even close to the importance of Asian Pop Music Awards as they are considered as "Mid"(Subject is well recognised within its field or its country of origin) while many other aards are cosidered as "Low" (Subject is notable in its field, but not highly regarded. These may be little known to most people). — Preceding unsigned comment added by ITIRIKBP (talkcontribs) 14:30, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Before I respond, I’d like to give you advice. Saying I know even more than you do isn’t gonna make people that inclined to respond or help you. Anyways, you need to provide sources to get the info onto Wikipedia. Notability is a process that determines if a subject is notable enough to have its own article. It can also be used to determine if it should even be included in any Wikipedia article by just being mentioned. For example, Blackpink is definitely notable enough to have their own article, whereas I am definitely not notable for an article or a mention in one.
There is also a thing called verifiability. It means that before anything is mentioned in an article, it must be verifiable. This means that it needs to be reliably sourced. If Weibo cannot be sourced on Wikipedia, that means the information can not be included. Links need to be whitelisted before use if they are blacklisted. I don’t know how you get a link whitelisted, but I recommend checking WP:SPB. If the link can’t get whitelisted, you can't use it. I don’t know what else to tell you. D🎉ggy54321 (happy new year!) 22:34, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

I will check on your mentioned WP:SPB. Next thing, the first link in the first message of mine, i gave was just hours after its release and it was the only source i found that was not from weibo. other editor gave an idea about looking on different search engines and I found more sources that are not low key and reliable:

Here are my thoughts on those sources:
  1. KPopStarz: unreliable, listed at WP:KO/RS#UR
  2. MediaPakun: not listed at WP:KO/RS, so I looked at the website. It seems unreliable, you can’t tell if the content is user-generated or not, there are loads of ads you typically see on unreliable sites, and the website as a whole looks sketchy
  3. KPopHit: not listed at WP:KO/RS, it won’t let me into the site. I can’t get in.
  4. NewsBreak: the article as a whole is written by KPopStarz (the author is kpopstarz.com), and they are unreliable, making this article also unreliable
  5. Zero-Lite: not listed at WP:KO/RS, I can’t seem to get into this one either
  6. Takungpao: given in an above comment of yours, deemed by Paper9oll and I to be unreliable.

Paper9oll: while you are here, could you look at sources 3 and 5 and let me know if they seem reliable or not? I can’t get into the websites, it just redirects me to a 404 error message. D🎉ggy54321 (happy new year!) 01:55, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

@Doggy54321: Nope, no.3 is website like koreaboo and soompi where they get their information from another source and credited them at the bottom, for this website they get it from kpopstarz which is unreliable. As for no.5, it is outright a blog website. – Paper9oll (📣📝) 05:23, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
@Paper9oll: thank you! D🎉ggy54321 (happy new year!) 14:11, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

@Doggy54321: Hi, I came across the notability criteria for film articles, and The Reputation Stadium Tour satisfies the guidelines; it was reviewed by numerous publications. Could you look into this? Hey Doggy54321, care to help me out on Breathin? This user has been edit warring to remove the official single cover without valid reasons, and I recall that you've restored it once before. They've already broken 3RR. They claim that the cover is unofficial and fan-made, even though it originated from an official Ariana Grande Linkfire page (link provided on the file page). It doesn’t seem like you have worked on it after you removed the redirect. Nonetheless, I’ll just tag the page with {{notability}}; I can also help find sources. I’ll also create that redirect. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 13:34, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Disruptive edits on Swift articles

user:Mirrored7 is on their spree of disruptive edits on Swift articles, yet again. I've did my part by giving them warnings. BawinV (talk) 15:41, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

@BawinV: yes, I’ve seen. I also reverted some of their edits, and they reverted back (WP:BRD?). I’ll try to talk to them again. Thank you! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 15:56, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi

Can you stop reverting my edits? You removed a bunch of useful content from the Ariana Grande discography page, just because you don't agree on my edits on the Folklore article. I'm always open for a discussion, so let's not do distruptive edits. I REALLY don't wanna go to a admin, and report you. Thanks! x Mirrored7 (talk) 15:01, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

@Mirrored7: I’m not the one being disruptive, you are. I "removed" a bunch of content from AGd because it violated WP:NOR and WP:SYNTH. As well, my edits on AGd had nothing to do with Folklore. I’m going to report you to WP:ANI, again. I left you a message on your talk page three days ago, updated it last night, and {{ping}}ed you. You haven’t responded, and continue to violate WP:BRD, the entire basis of that talk conversation. Bawin and I have left you countless warnings on your talk page. You were reported by Bawin at ANI a month ago, and you haven’t changed a bit. You still call everything puffery, you still have a very clear bias towards Grande, as well as a very clear bias against Swift, you continue to edit war and try to prove your point through edit summary, you ignore anyone's attempts to reach out to you and you fail to participate in talk discussions (even after direct pings). I can provide mountains of evidence for all of this, something I wish to make public at ANI so other people can comment, because Bawin and I can’t do anything more to halt this behaviour. You also continue to violate WP:SYNTH, WP:EW (and WP:3RR), WP:POINT, WP:BRD, WP:NPOV, WP:NOR and more, and you have been warned about most/all of this. Therefore, I see no better option than to leave this in admin hands.
Completely unrelated: what would you report me about? I’m just curious, since I haven’t been disrupting Wikipedia, so why, what and how would you report me to an admin? D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 15:22, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
What are you talking about? My edits are well sourced. Can you not read? Also that's the problem. I DON'T WANT REPORT NEITHER YOU OR YOUR FRIEND. A left you guys a message on my page and on the Folklore one. Mirrored7 (talk) 15:40, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
@Mirrored7: Your edit to AGd was not well sourced. The source does not state Grande's British stats, nor does it state her worldwide stats. That’s the literal definition of WP:NOR. I can read, otherwise I wouldn’t be editing, as editing requires you to read and write. I know you don’t want to report me or Bawin, but considering you said I REALLY don't wanna go to a admin, and report you, I was just curious as to what you would report me about. I see you have left messages there, I will be responding shortly. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 15:48, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
Okay. What about the RIAA stats? Mirrored7 (talk) 16:01, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
The RIAA page has the information that is in the article, so it is well-sourced. But, the BPI page doesn’t have the information that is in the article, so it is not well sourced. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 16:08, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Doggy, I understand there was an AfD in this case, but as I said in my revert summary, no editor is going to conclude that a number-one album is not notable. The AfD was also closed on January 10. Since this time, the article has been improved to include numerous reviews from independent news outlets. You even said in your !vote one of your main reasons for doing so was because the article only included citations to Genius and Instagram. As you can see, there are now six reviews from Swedish news outlets on the article, and it debuted at number one in Sweden. Generally I agree with the edits you make, but this one is far off the mark. You're edit warring to retain a consensus based on this considerably inferior version of the article. The article is far larger than this and has 14 sources on it now. Another AfD would certainly conclude based on the significant improvements made to the page since the first vote that it meets WP:NALBUM (as it has news coverage and charting) and WP:GNG.

In cases like this, it is silly to continue redirecting an article to retain a consensus made before an album had news coverage or opened at number one on a national music chart. I urge you to stop edit warring to retain redirects in future, especially where articles have clearly further developed from the state the article was in at the time of its redirection, and in cases where there is not an AfD consensus, to instead open an AfD vote when you are reverted by any editor who maintains an article is notable or has a claim of notability. Thanks. Ss112 15:40, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

I've gone ahead and pinged Drmies on the article's talk page. As the admin who closed the AfD discussion and redirected the article, he can determine whether it now meets our notability criteria. As any admin should definitely take into consideration news sources and charting as indication of a notable topic. Ss112 15:57, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
@Ss112: ok, thanks. My bad. I was never edit warring, I was restoring redirects per the AfD. No one ever left an edit summary, so I assumed they just wanted the album to have an article. I’m still new to AfD and policies surrounding it, so I never really knew what to do after the discussion closed. Have a great rest of your day! :) D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 17:22, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Just to make sure.

Hey! Kindly check user:2003:CD:6F1E:1B00:B4AF:552F:B62F:6232's contributions and tell me it doesn't look like a sockpuppet of someone we know. BawinV (talk) 07:33, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

@BawinV: Yeah. The IP address has same edit summaries as the user in question, removes the same type of content, etc. As well, the IP address is a German IP, and this user includes "Neuer Abshnitt" in some of their edit summaries to talk pages (they’re the German words for "New Section"). As well, 2003:cd:6f20:1300:650a:f5b:d5c8:7e2c (talk · contribs) is another one. So now we have a couple options. We can open an SPI, but that would be a bit risky as that user didn’t purposely try to disrupt Wikipedia with the IPs (although one could argue that the IP was brought in so that user didn’t break 3RR), or we can open an ANI and mention this with all the other behavioural problems this user has demonstrated. We could also not do anything for now. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 14:40, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: No, I don't want to file a report or something. I just wanted to let you know, in case you missed. BawinV (talk) 15:09, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

If this was an edit made by you, I’m going to kindly ask that you stop making sexual references in edit summaries. If this was not an edit made by you, consider registering with an account so that further confusions aren’t made. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:49, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

yotube rewind

Hello there. The only reason why I undid what you put was because I was reading the history and I saw a un named user apologizing for a 'edit war' and when I saw you un did what he put and saw what the edit was I just thought it had did nothing wrong so I re put back the links. I didn't know that it looked unprofessional and I'm sorry if I did something wrong — Preceding unsigned comment added by LittleMAHER1 (talkcontribs) 20:21, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

@LittleMAHER1: Hi! Sorry, I probably should have added an edit summary in that edit. The reasons for my revert were the same for yours (that links look unprofessional in the middle of a sentence), but that user was also communicating through edit summary (which is generally not appropriate). The user was also fresh off a block for edit warring, and they were right back where they started. My bad! That’s completely fine, you were just doing your part. It’s completely my fault. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience. Not your fault at all. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 20:53, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

An article about a 2015 Brit Awards performance of "Blank Space" was created 4 days ago... I have nominated the article for deletion (although this could arguably satisfy speedy deletion). Hope you could comment, (talk) 07:40, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

@: Sure! It probably fits in a speedy deletion category, but I’ll comment. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:28, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
Why did you have cut out the entry about the performance on the main 2015 Brit Awards page instead of editing it to a more manage length if you aren't satisfied? There's entries about Kayne West's and Madonna's performances. It isn't like Taylor Swift's performance in itself, isn't notable there since it opened the show. I had cut down the length of the initial entry to focus on the performance in itself if you're concerned about the weight of it. BornonJune8 (talk) 01:08, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
@BornonJune8: Those performances both have mentions because they were controversial. Swift’s performance was anything but controversial. If you want to include a paragraph on it, do so if you must, but don’t insert nine paragraphs when the others have one/two. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 01:33, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
That's what I pretty much just did, I shortened the length of the entry! It may not literally be a paragraph, but it's much shorter than it was initially. But please don't jump the conclusions when somebody adds a summary to a performance besides those other two. This essentially about the show as a whole. BornonJune8 (talk) 01:36, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
@BornonJune8: I see that you cut it down. After reading it, I’m questioning as to why it’s still there. It’s three paragraphs about Swift's costume and a detailed performance synopsis, something none of the other performances had. Therefore, unless you want to add costume/performance synopses for all the other performances that night, it is 100% WP:UNDUE weight and WP:Fancruft. It was important to mention that Kanye West's dancers were dressed in all black because it contributed to the paragraph. Having an entire paragraph about Swift's clothes is not appropriate. Neither is two other paragraphs (one unsourced) that give a performance synopsis. Madonna and West had brief performance synopses because it was relevant to the paragraph. Moving forward, I suggest you stop trying to get this material on pages, because clearly, everyone who realized this situation was happening has been against it. You can check the deletion discussion, the edit summaries reverting your edits, etc. WP:DROPTHESTICK and back away from the horse carcass, please. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 01:43, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
Taylor Swift wore Christian Louboutin boots, so are you therefore saying that, that information isn't at all relevant to the article on Christian Louboutin in itself? Or it there was a ready-made article on KaufmanFranco, there shouldn't be information about her wearing one of their blazers at the Brit Awards. BornonJune8 (talk) 02:02, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
@BornonJune8: Yes, exactly. The fact that Swift wore Louboutin's is not notable enough to be featured in the article about Christian Louboutin. Unless it was a notable moment, I see no reason. Same with the Kaufman Franco blazer. If what you were demonstrating was true, Louis Vuitton would be too long to read. So would Adidas, Gucci, Prada, Nike Inc., etc. You don’t include everything, only the notable stuff. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:05, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

@BornonJune8: I'm just curious... Could you provide links to the Kanye West and Madonna performances as you said? I am not seeing any.. (talk) 04:09, 29 January 2021 (UTC) Nevermind, see WP:FANCRUFT, WP:NOTNEWS, WP:INDISCRIMINATE. I mean, she wore Louboutins, yeah... ground-breaking... It's nowhere near the level of, say, the black Givenchy dress of Audrey Hepburn. (talk) 04:11, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

The Guidance Barnstar
First of all, I look towards you as my sensei. You're generous, and giving, and very kind. The reason why I'm giving you this barnstar is because you've been guiding me by fixing errors (such as this when I accidentally deleted somebody else's comment) and just helping me in general. I'm grateful that I can work side-by-side with you. Also, we literally have the same taste (music wise)! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 18:08, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

New Rosè article infobox image proposal

Hi! I was wondering if you’d be willing to upload the first image of this Instagram post (https://www.instagram.com/p/CKuwRoFlDUA/?igshid=4bmxrqxs0i6j) and upload it to Blackpink Rosè’s infobox. Seeing as the current image is somewhat outdated (from January 2019) I think the image is due for an update. Also, I am unable to upload pictures so that’s why I’ve come to you!

Thank you so much! -Blinkpinkfan Blinkpinkfan (talk) 03:52, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: Hey! Thanks for coming to me for the proposal. Unfortunately, I am going to politely decline to upload the image, because the source is not reliable and the image could be copyrighted. An unverified Instagram account is not reliable for pictures. If you could find a reliable source that uses this image, I would be more than happy to upload it. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 04:02, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

How about this one? https://kpopping.com/uploads/documents/2d/1/1(583).jpeg, couldn’t find the original website but I know it’s from the official MBC Naver blog. Blinkpinkfan (talk) 04:20, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: the Naver blog isn’t reliable either, but I appreciate you trying. Personally, I don’t see why the current picture would need to be replaced. Her appearance hasn’t changed and the picture isn’t low quality, so why would the picture need replacing? D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 04:30, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

I was thinking on the basis of new year, and also how there are new (limited - but new pictures) for 2020 as far as performances, but it’s fine either way :) -Blinkpinkfan Blinkpinkfan (talk) 04:35, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: That makes sense and I can see why you would think that, but I think changing the image without much reason violates MOS:IMAGE by way of the fact that images aren’t to be used for decorative purposes. Changing the image without reason could be interpreted as changing the image for decorative purposes. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 04:38, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Ah, got it. Thank you anyway! -Blinkpinkfan Blinkpinkfan (talk) 04:42, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Untitled section by Newlemoon

Hi hi, it's Newlemoon (talk) 02:56, 3 February 2021 (UTC), I've noticed you deleted my edit. Wondering why shouldn't we include the name of Jennie's channel? Isn't it useful information?

@Newlemoon: Hey. Thank you for reaching out to me. For information to be added onto Wikipedia, the information first needs to be verifiable. This means that the information is true and if asked, a source can be provided backing up that information. Second, the information needs to be backed up by reliable sources. I see you have already tried to add sources to the article, but they are considered unreliable as fandom.wiki is a user-generated site. Third, the information needs to be relevant to the subject of the article. This just makes sure that Jisoo's birthday isn’t added to Rosé's article unless it makes sense to. Adding to that point, you also need to make sure the information isn’t fancruft. The definition of fancruft is that it only will gain the interest of a small number of fans of the subject. An example of fancruft would be to add five paragraphs of text about Lisa's appearance.
Now, if we go through the checklist with Jennie's YouTube channel name in mind, I can confirm that the information is verifiable, but as of now, it is not backed up by reliable sources and is fancruft. You admitted it yourself, when you said that this information would be useful to "Blinks", which are Blackpink's fans. This is almost the literal description of fancruft. Thanks for reaching out, and if you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask me. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 03:09, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi again, thanks for this information & time, it's very useful! I have noticed this information (Jennie's channel name) in the source [88] that was cited right there. According to this information, do you believe the edit can be made? Nice to meet you, Newlemoon (talk) 03:26, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

(link of the source [88] https://web.archive.org/web/20210126113004/https://in.mashable.com/entertainment/19635/blackpinks-jennie-launches-youtube-channel-and-the-subscriber-count-is-already-over-3-million)

@Newlemoon: You’re so welcome! Thank you for the source! Unfortunately, this does not change the fact that this information is still fancruft and shouldn’t be added. If there comes a time where the channel name is widely known/has gained traction from several sources in the media, then it can and should be added to the article. It was great meeting you, too! Hope you decide to stay on Wikipedia! Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 03:32, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Why did you create Treat Myself (disambiguation)? It's kinda pointless to have a page with (disambiguation) disambiguating two things - if Treat Myself is the primary topic, use hatnotes, otherwise, move Treat Myself to something like Treat Myself (album) and put a disambiguation page at Treat Myself. Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 12:41, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Elliot321, you read my mind. I just made a RM at Talk:Treat Myself, and I created the DAB page so I could include it in the RM to show that there is a PTOPIC, which would be the DAB page. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:43, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
Gotcha. I would've just done the move and created the dabpage, honestly, but if you feel like it could be controversial, fair enough. Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 12:44, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
@Elliot321: That’s what I would have done, but all the pages I wanted to move had pages at the alternative titles, so I would have had to request it at WP:RM/TR, but I was afraid that might be a little controversial. As well, I find that someone always opposes a requested move and it’s never unanimous, so I’d rather just have a discussion. Thanks for taking time out of your day to review the page! Willow song

Hey buddy, I am asking you to stop editing stuff for you own personal preference. Even Billboard stated that the song's fall was only "in part" due to Christmas songs, not completely as you're stating. If you say otherwise, you'd be putting out false information, and we don't like false information. I hope you choose to do what's right and stop vandalizing the page and Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.54.79.86 (talk) 19:24, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

Ok. Let's say Doggy, even though they would never do so, was vandalising Willow (song). You also say (and I quote) stop vandalising the page and Wikipedia. Do you have any proof (links would be nice) of Doggy vandalizing other pages on Wikipedia? Doggy has always recognized and followed the Wikipedia policies and procedures. I rest my case. TheCartoonEditor. talk to me? see what i've done 19:32, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
To the IP: I am going to stop you right there. First off, we are already in discussion on Talk:Willow (song) in two separate sections. As well, I do not edit Wikipedia for my personal preference, I edit Wikipedia because I feel like my edits will help readers when they view a Wikipedia page. I have always tried to stay neutral while editing, and while I am always open to constructive criticism, my edits were anything but biased. Moving on, maybe I misread a source, oops. That doesn’t give you the right to call me a vandal to my face multiple times, that doesn’t give you the right to make not one but two informal complaints about me, that doesn’t give you the right to start an edit war, and that most certainly does not give you the right to ask that I be banned from the English Wikipedia. People make mistakes, forgive and forget. Also - I’d appreciate it if you didn’t put words into my mouth. I did not say that the song dropped in the charts completely due to Christmas music. While I may have made edits that imply that I have said that, you’re making this something it’s not. Last but not least, I have never vandalized Wikipedia, not in the past, not in the present, and not in the future. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 19:45, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
To TheCartoonEditor: Thank you so much. As well, I would love it if the IP would give proof that I vandalized, so their accusations aren’t baseless. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 19:45, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

By the way, users @TheCartoonEditor: and @BawinV: added the lines "due in part to holiday songs" on Wikipedia, and you removed those lines (which I agreed with and which the majority agreed with) and changed it to lines that fitted your own personal reference.

108.54.79.86, I recommend you read Wikipedia:Readers first and Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. "due in part" can be interpreted as jargon by some unfamiliar with English, and we don't take exact words, we paraphrased them. @Doggy54321: did both by changing it to not his personal prefrence, but rather a paraphrased, readable version, which you disagreed with for some reason. TheCartoonEditor. talk to me? see what i've done 19:47, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
(edit conflict) There's this thing called proof. It is what is given to back up statements. I would love it if you gave proof of this, and not just baselessly accuse me of things I clearly did not do. I reverted your edits, not once did I manually change the text to fit my "personal reference". As well, both TCE and Bawin are on my side of the discussion this time, so bringing them into this (as well as {{ping}}ing them) isn’t really helping your case. The Barnstar of Diplomacy
Doggy54321, thank you for solving that conflict wonderfully and carefully. The funny thing is that the IP claims not to be a sockpuppet when the language style of their edit summaries and their tantrum-throwing language reminds me of Mirrored7, who is notorious for disrupting Swift articles. I might be wrong, but my instincts have never failed me before. BawinV (talk) 22:37, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

@BawinV: I can see where you’re coming from, but Mirrored is from Germany. This has been proven when they accidentally logged out and they had a German IP address, as well as they include a German phrase in some of their edit summaries. This IP is from America. So, unless they changed their geolocation, I think it may just be a first-time editor. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:56, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
@Doggy54321: Ah that's interesting. For someone who is editing for the first-time, they seem to attack you as if they had known you for a long time... Smells fishy to me. BawinV (talk) 23:01, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
@BawinV: I did revert one of their edits a couple days ago, maybe it’s that? I don’t know. If you feel like opening an SPI, go for it. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 23:34, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

What? You call asking for justice throwing a tantrum?? WOW, remember ALWAYS trust the victim (me) unless enough facts are given to prove otherwise! And didn't I report him for being a vandal, did't you see it on the Willow talk page? or did I have to do something else? As well, the court system is set up so that it’s innocent until proven guilty (pertaining to the alleged offender), so in reality, I'm the one who you should trust until I am proven guilty. As well, I don’t think any editor in their right mind would trust you, because you have not provided any means of evidence for the mounds of accusations against me, such as but not limited to: saying I’m a vandal, alleging that I attacked you, saying that I need to be banned from Wikipedia, etc. But anyways, your "reports" on the Willow talk page weren't official by any means. A report is something you do at WP:ANI or WP:AIV (but your reports need to be backed up by almost rock-hard evidence, and considering you have none of that means you probably shouldn’t report there). As well, cult?? Do you know what a cult is? Wikipedians are usually nice to each other, so the fact that I received two barnstars today is out of kindness, not because we give barnstars out at our daily Zoom cult meetings. Oops I exposed us . And, what mistakes do we need to be held accountable for? Explain please. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 23:46, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

I respect so much your work on preventing vandals and ill-intended editors from disturbing the quality and faith of Wikipedia articles! You're quick, concise, and never fail to lose your composure. Thank You! Here's a small token of appreciation from my behalf.BawinV (talk) 22:50, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
@BawinV: Thanks so much! I sometimes lose my composure off-wiki, but I always try to make sure my on-wiki presence is calm, cool and collected. While I may be screaming curse words at someone off-wiki, I always try to be composed on-wiki, because my edits are saved forever. Thanks so much for the kind gesture!! Rosé article section picture

Hi once again! I finally found a picture from a verified Instagram account (via the guitar player on the right in first picture) which I thought would be a.good picture for the “2021: Solo debut” section in Rosé’s article, since everything in that section is describing that event.(https://www.instagram.com/p/CKvQElNjusu/?igshid=llnlaw9i6ju) Would you mind uploading it to that section of that article? Thank you so much! - Blinkpinkfan Blinkpinkfan (talk) 03:24, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: Hey! I’ll upload it and add it into the article, thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:19, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
@Blinkpinkfan: Ugh. As I found out two minutes ago, my iPad can’t save the photo from Instagram, and in turn, I can’t upload it. Maybe try requesting the file be uploaded at Files for Upload. Super sorry for the inconvenience! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:27, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

I think I’ll be able to do it, would you be willing to unblock my upload rights? I now know where to get pictures from verified sources. Blinkpinkfan (talk) 12:34, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: I didn’t even know you could get blocked from uploading. I can’t unblock you as I don’t even know what an upload block is and I’m sure that I don’t have the tools to unblock you. I think your unblocking is something to take up with your blocking admin. But, I suggest you go to WP:FFU for now. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:40, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Okay! No worries :) - Blinkpinkfan Blinkpinkfan (talk) 12:43, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi! Would you be willing to check out the file page to see if it looks okay? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Blackpink_Rosé_performing_%22Gone%22_at_Blackpink_%22The_Show%22.jpg -Blinkpinkfan Blinkpinkfan (talk) 14:26, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: Looks great! Although, you definitely want to contest the speedy deletion of the file, otherwise it will be deleted under criterion F9 (something about the source (Instagram) copying the picture from another source). To do that, you can go to the file page and press the "Contest this deletion" button, which will provide further instructions. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 17:09, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

I did :) - Blinkpinkfan Blinkpinkfan (talk) 17:13, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: Oops, guess I missed that! In that case, you’re all set! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 17:23, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

However, the speedy deletion template is still there, and the user that placed it said to go to Media copyright questions, so I did, and no response as of yet Blinkpinkfan (talk) 17:46, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: Don’t worry, no one will delete the file if they see someone contesting the deletion on the talk page. They will see that someone directed you to MCQ, and will go from there. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:44, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: Forgot to mention: I have a WikiLove page that documents all the WikiLove I have received. I am about to include your message under the "thanks" section, but I was looking at it and was wondering if I could alter your message to fit the theme that is ongoing in that section. Below is the table I am hoping to put in (if it’s ok with you). I didn’t change any text, I just made it into table format so it would be consistent with the others. I hope this is ok with you. Update from yesterday (Rosé section picture)

First of all, I'm sorry for constantly blowing up your inbox. I just need your input on something we talked about yesterday.

So, I found the same file (the one of Rosé performing "Gone") on www.yg-life.com, (here's the article: https://yg-life.com/archives/164910?lang=ko) an official blog on YG artists, which YG Entertainment created. the copyright notice at the bottom of the site says (YG ENTERTAINMENT - all rights reserved, which I'm curious which license I'd put). Do I even bother re-uploading the file and update the copyright notice or just leave it as is?

Thanks! Blinkpinkfan (talk) 17:29, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

@Blinkpinkfan: I suggest requesting undeletion of the file. All you have to mention is that the file was deleted under criterion F9 (copyright infringement) and that you have the correct copyright license. You would then link to the YG site you’ve linked above. Completely unrelated: that’s totally fine that you’ve blown up my inbox, but you do know that just because a section says "February 5", you can still post on it when it’s not Feb 5th, right? I just found it a bit odd that you made a new section (but no worries, it’s not an inconvenience to me at all). As well, now that I have clarified this, I would like it if you responded above (User talk:Doggy54321#A kitten for you! (February 5)) as I am currently waiting on your approval. Thanks! Your edits

You removed "Dave Meyers is the show's executive producer. Roc Nation is producing and creatively directing the show, with Hamish Hamilton reprising his directing role. Preparation for the show has been significantly complicated by the ongoing covid19 pandemic. [1][2]"

NYT says "Dave Meyers, the show’s executive in charge of production and the chief operating officer" and "This will be the second Super Bowl halftime show produced in part by Jay-Z and Roc Nation, who were recruited by the N.F.L. at a time when performers were refusing to work with the league" and "Our biggest challenge is to make this show look like it’s not affected by Covid"

CNN says "And the man helping to bring the pop megastar's Super Bowl LV halftime show to life is a British TV director named Hamish Hamilton."

and yet you said not in stated source. Also that paragraph is based on the paragraph in the super bowl LIV article. 74.73.230.232 (talk) 00:30, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Oops, my bad. I was skimming through the sources and I guess I missed that. Thanks for checking D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 00:32, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Cool, can you put it back? 74.73.230.232 (talk) 00:33, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
I partially restored it. I reworded the parts I added, and I removed the line about COVID-19 protocols being followed, as I’m sure that’s assumed by now. As well, I expanded both the references. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 00:37, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Ok, but we know Hamish is reprising the role since he also held it for Super Bowl LIV. Also, why did you remove sourced statement the the Weeknd is performing solo? 74.73.230.232 (talk) 00:40, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
I’ll add that he is reprising his role back in. As well, I removed the statement for two reasons. A) a one-sentence section is never a good idea and I don’t see how it could fit into the lead, development or background sections. B) it’s redundant and WP:BALL. As well, I see no reason why we must have it in the article when the performance is fifteen minutes away. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 00:44, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Point taken, I just thought people would be more motivated to edit, and have a better idea of what to do with a starter section there, but it probabably won't be edited by people who don't know what to do now owing to the lock. It's all good though. 74.73.230.232 (talk) 00:48, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Makes sense. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 01:11, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
One other thing, not that I'm saying you would forget, but as a reminder, it's all future tense now so that will need to be changed very soon here. I had used present tense to avoid the need to switch future to past, but now I see the other articles are using past so it has to be switched no matter what. 74.73.230.232 (talk) 00:53, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks! I’m in front of my TV, and I’ll be updating it soon enough. I’m amazed that 18 seconds can last two minutes in football time lol. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 01:11, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

For when you have time

I added some sources at Talk:Super Bowl LV halftime show, including a review so I guess a synopsis and critical reception can now be written. Edit requests are clunky so I'll just leave others to it. 74.73.230.232 (talk) 02:11, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

I see that other editors have already done that. Thanks for being so on-point! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 03:10, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Need Help?

I saw that you are {{Bonked}} and I just wanted to see if there is anything I can do to help you? I'm close to the stage of being bonked, but... not there yet! So, please let me know if there is — or even are — anything I can help you with so you don't feel "bonked" for a while! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 15:48, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

@JackReynoldsADogOwner: That's so kind of you to ask! I’m not bonked anymore, as Taylor decided to announce Love Story (Taylor's Version) and Fearless (Taylor's Version), and I have to keep tabs on everything, so I’m back. I noticed I made around 15 edits yesterday and was like "Maybe I’m bonked, I should add the template to my page", and now I’m not 😂😂.
Honestly, you just existing brings me joy. You’re so kind, funny, you have the biggest heart, and you care so much about every single page and every single user. So, there’s not really much else you can do. Thanks again! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 15:59, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
I know right!? I was sooo thrilled when I found out that Taylor is re-recording Fearless (Taylor's Version). I even started a draft page about it here. So, I'm probably be editing that most of today and tomorrow and so-on! Also, I'm glad that you're back to normal! And, you're too kind for those compliments! Again, let me know if you need anything (I'll be your butler, if needed) and yeah! FYI, I love your signature! Very creative! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 16:14, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
Hahaha. Lots of people are working at Love Story (Taylor's Version) and Fearless (Taylor's Version), but I’m trying to do other stuff (adding the re-recorded songs to List of songs recorded by Taylor Swift, reverting countless of my edits because "Love Story" was confirmed a single from Billboard, adding blurbs to all the Fearless song pages about the re-recordings, creating redirects, etc). You can help, if you want! Thanks for the signature compliment! I tried to do something that wasn’t repetitive (I’ve been using "happy (holiday)" too much, view here), so I decided on "xoxo". Glad you like it! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 16:31, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner: Completely unrelated: I’m gonna suggest you nominate the Fearless draft for speedy deletion under criterion G7, as I raised a valid point at Talk:Fearless (Taylor Swift album)#Fearless (Taylor's Version) that it would be a living hell if we had to create a page for all of the "Taylor's Version" songs/albums. For example, Red (Taylor's Version), "You Belong with Me" (Taylor's Version), but then repeat that dozens of times when the articles will most likely never grow beyond start-class anyways. This isn’t meant to be taken personally, it’s just my opinion. D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 16:58, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

I totally get! I can do it myself if you want me to! Think godness I have twinkle! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:04, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

I just marked it for speedy-deletion! Thanks again! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:15, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner: Yes, Twinkle makes life so much better! You’re welcome! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 14:08, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Also completely off-track from our previous conversation, have you seen/listen to Dua Lipa's new song "We're Good" and seen the music video? I love her songs sooo much! Taylor and now this?... Oh my god, I can't take it anymore! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 14:18, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
@JackReynoldsADogOwner: Ooh, thanks for the recommendation! I’ll listen to it and then edit the Wikipedia page. Ah, the benefits of being a Wikipedian. Thanks! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 14:24, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Accessdates

Doggy, I'll say this to you too: Please don't change other users' accessdates. There is a Wikipedia guideline (that I cannot remember right now, but I promise it exists as I've quoted it to users before) that states users should use the date it is in the time zone they live in the access-date parameter. Hence why there is an allowance for +24 hours from UTC time encoded on Wikipedia—if we were supposed to use UTC time, adding the next day's date per other time zones would produce an error, but that doesn't happen. There is no guidance on Wikipedia that we run everything on UTC time, because as I said, that means we wouldn't be allowed to update information like when albums were released because it's not midnight Friday UTC time. Out of the hundreds of thousands of access-dates users have provided and certainly updated on articles you follow, this is the time you chose to take issue with the access-date another user has input? Ss112 17:03, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Trappist the monk, the user who is responsible for extensive coding and changes to citation formatting, may be able to explain where said guidance is located, as they previously said at Help talk:Citation Style 1/Archive 19: "As long as |access-date= is no more than 1 day ahead of UTC±00:00 then there is no error. This allows anyone in time zones east of UTC to add |access-date= for their own current local date without errors popping up." There is also discussion in that thread that users should add the date format that is correct for them. That's the done thing on Wikipedia, not adhering to whatever date it is UTC time. Users can't be expected to know that or research it every time they wish to add an access-date. Ss112 17:30, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
@Ss112: OOPS!! I’m so sorry. I had no idea of the policy where access-dates don’t have to be in UTC. To be honest, I'm kind of glad now, because I’m UTC-05:00, so at 7pm every night, I have to adjust. As well, once you know your UTC, it’s not that hard to remember. Mine is UTC-04:00 from March to November (so it changes at 8pm every night) and UTC-05:00 from November to March (7pm). As well, the watchlist shows edits based off of UTC, so even if I’m stuck, I just look there. But, obviously I don’t expect that a user with 20 edits who is learning how to cite will know UTC and when it changes, so your points make sense. Last point - I saw you reverted that user's edit, and I was like "wait a minute, even though Ss112 is in a Feb 13 timezone, UTC is still Feb 12, so the accessdate is Feb 12", and then made the edit. Thanks for the message, sorry for the inconvenience 😬. Thanks! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 03:37, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

Infobox chronologies

Hello, I am a user from the French Wikipedia, therefore I am more familiar with the rules of French Wikipedia than English Wikipedia. Here I don't edit a lot but I look at edits made to articles that I have in my watchlist, either because I simply like to read more informations about the subject or because it can help edit French articles. I am not the person who added "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" in the chronology of the infobox at "Evermore" but I found it strange that links to sections were not allowed in chronologies. So I looked at the discussion you linked in the article, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums/Archive 62#Multiple infobox chronologies, and I didn't find anything about that? When I read it, it seem that there is a consensus to use only one chronology in the infobox unless the album is by two artists in which case there should be one chronology for each artist. Links to the artist's discography were brought up by two users and there was not a consensus about that. But I didn't see anyone talking about links to the section of an album's article as it is the case here for "Fearless (Taylor's Version)". So I was wondering if maybe you linked the wrong discussion or if it is me who missed or misunderstood something? Thank you and have a nice day! Mirliz (talk) 12:55, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

@Mirliz: Hey! That’s interesting, I read that and it doesn’t really mention sections either. I’m pinging BawinV as they were the one who did it first to Lover (album) in October 2020. That in turn inspired me to do it to Folklore (Taylor Swift album) (Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions#Music) in November, and I did it again to Evermore (Taylor Swift album) (Fearless (Taylor's Version)) a couple days ago. Bawin - did you perhaps link to the wrong consensus in your edit above? And if you didn’t, could you please show us where that consensus was made, as both Mirliz and I are having trouble finding it. Thanks to the both of you! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 13:21, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
I'm not sure. That was a long time ago. I think I did that measure after someone (a senior editor) told me that article sections shouldn't be linked in chronologies. I'm not sure if I linked the wrong consensus or if the editor who did it misinformed me/misinterpreted the concensus. BawinV (talk) 13:52, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
@BawinV: Makes sense. It’s never too late to clarify it at WT:ALBUMS. I’ll put it on my to-do list. Thanks! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 16:11, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for your answers! Mirliz (talk) 13:13, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Create new redirect

Hey, Rowdy Rebel released a new single titled “Jesse Owens”, featuring Nav, this past Friday. Can you create the redirects Jesse Owens (song) and Jesse Owens (Rowdy Rebel song) and redirect them both to Rowdy Rebel? Thank you! Rapper0212 (talk) 23:35, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

@Rapper0212: Definitely! Thank you for coming to me! As well, in the future, please try to provide a source for your claims. I’m not complaining that I had to Google to make sure the song was legit (which it is), but I know that a lot of editors decline things like this when no sources are given. Thanks for dating the section as well, really appreciate it. Thanks! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 01:37, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

I did put a source in Rowdy Rebel and Nav’s discographies both, the Apple Music source in the top upper hand corner of the title. Rapper0212 (talk) 02:21, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

@Rapper0212: Oops, guess I missed that 😂. Thank you for coming to me, anyways. If you ever need anything else, do not hesitate to come to me. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doggy54321 (talkcontribs)

@Rapper0212: Will do! It might take me a minute to reduce the image size as the image is non-free, but expect it to be added within 10 minutes. Thanks! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 02:30, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

I suppose I can understand that. 😂 Rapper0212 (talk) 02:31, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

😂 If you want an explanation, I’ll give it to you. As well, I need a bit more time as I had to be off-wiki for a couple minutes. Thanks! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 02:44, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
@Rapper0212: File:Lil Tecca - Virgo World cover art.jpeg - uploaded and added to the article. D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 02:57, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Also, can you create these pages below and redirect them all to Virgo World since they are songs from the album?

Rapper0212 (talk) 04:03, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

@Rapper0212: I’ve switched to my phone in the past half hour, and I’m getting quite tired, so I’ll do all this when I wake up. And please do not feel bad about the multiple requests, I enjoy helping people by doing tasks like this. D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 04:11, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi Doggy54321, I hope you're well. Just a heads up, in case you don't notice when you're online again; this user has been confirmed as a sockpuppet. User_talk:Johnviz

Hi Doggy54321,

I had previously asked via e-mail, in a very friendly, understanding and detailed way, and I had received a friendly, understanding response, so I'm unhappy about even having to write this here.

Could you please stop interacting with Johnviz and making non-technical comments about them on noticeboards? A significant part of their disruption is caused by persistent replies by the only person who chooses to fuel the fire. Without your messages, the size of their talk page wouldn't even be half of its current size, and I'd get more sleep. More sleep is good. So not replying is also good.

Thanks. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:09, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

@ToBeFree: Impeccable timing. I had just finished sending off an email to another involved user and was about to update you over email a couple things, but I can do it on-wiki instead. For one, I had only posted because they had personally attacked me (pseudo-admin-wannabe, for example) and demanded I be punished (even though there is nothing anyone can do to punish me). They also asked me to stop posting on their talk, which I intend to respect. However, if they continue to call me names, I reserve the right to defend myself, as I would IRL or in another discussion, even if that means going against the wishes of you or anyone else. But, I’ll step down in general. That was the basic framework of my email. Moving on, I apologize, I know you’re pissed off, and I’d be pissed off as well if I was in your position, period. I need sleep too, most of my replies yesterday came from the hours of 10pm to midnight, so I was extremely tired as well. Looking back, I probably should have bit my lip even before you asked me to. I’m sorry, I messed up and it won’t happen again. D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 02:21, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Love for Sale FAC

Thank you for the V'day greetings. I wanted to ask if you could comment on or review my FAC for Love for Sale (Bilal album). It is a not a long article, but the review has become a sprawling mess with ambiguous or reluctant takes on the sourcing in particular, and no new comments have been made in a week or so. So any thoughts would be welcome. The criteria for featured articles is at WP:FA?, if you choose to do so. Thank you. isento (talk) 11:42, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

@Isento: You’re most welcome! With regards to the FA, I’ve never even bothered to read FA criteria, let alone comment on one, so I’m going to pass for now. I’m not that comfortable commenting on this, just because the GA/FA process is still really new to me. I’ve never nominated any articles for GA/FA, I haven’t commented on any GARs/FARs, I still don’t know the process, etc. I’m sorry, you must be disappointed. But, the good thing is that there are lots of other editors who would do it in a heartbeat. If you need recommendations, please let me know. Thanks! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 13:33, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Read Over on Typical Gamer Draft

Hey @Doggy54321:, I don't want to push you or anythng but if you have any freetime could you do a major read over/edit on the draft Typical Gamer because it definentley needs a 2nd perspective on it! Thanks a ton, UpcomingPurseTalkToMe 05:02, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

@UpcomingPurse: For sure! Thanks! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 11:36, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
@UpcomingPurse: Okay, now I'm a user talk page stalker... thanks a lot, Doggy54321! But, UpcomingPurse, I will also take a look at it so we can have two people different perspective on it! I'll edit anything that I see that need to be replaced/fixed! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 13:26, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

AfD Closing

Hi Doggy. As I've looked through AfDs to possibly close I've noticed that you've been closing quite a few. On the whole you seem to be sticking with non-controversial clear consensus discussions which can be appropriate for non-administrtive closes. However, I just came to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Martendale, California which was not a clear consensus and thus not a good candidate for non-administrative closure. Beyond that, I think you got the close wrong in this case as even after Hog Farm's participation the consensus was not clearly keep and thus needed to be relisted. I notice that you have relatively little participation at AfD, 21 total !votes, which is generally not sufficient experience to be closing deletion discussions. AfD needs more participants to run well and I would encourage you to think about further participation. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 21:54, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

@Barkeep49: Sorry for the late response, I was off-wiki. Honestly, I’m glad you’re saying this. I knew there wasn’t enough consensus for this after I was looking through past AfDs and realized how they are closed, but I didn’t know you could revert them. Long story short: I’m sorry (for the inconvenience, the disruption of the AfD process and of my lack of knowledge on the procedure), and, now that you’ve pointed this out, I’ll take a step back from non-admin closures. Alas, participating in AfDs is really fun as well. I’ll participate more often, and maybe revisit AfD closures in a month when I archive this discussion and remember everything. To be frank, I’ve become quite invested in the administrator permission, and I’m looking to open an RfA in six months to a year's time, and I thought if I could get an early start now, I could learn a lot. Thanks for the heads up! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 03:50, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply and responding 6 hours later is hardly slow :). I'm glad you're interested in becoming an administrator. You might or might not be aware but finding new administrators is a focus of mine. I see you got more active in August of 2020, and so the earliest it would make sense for you to do an RfA is August 2021 (12 months). Having experience with content creation is an important skill for potential administrators and so I would encourage you to try your hand at some of that, and in particular trying to get a few articles up to Good Article standard. Closing AfD discussions as an non-administrator is actually not seen as a positive by many RfA voters (including me). Instead it can be useful to gain experience closing discussions at places like RfC and RM. That's what I did to get experience - the first AfD I closed was after I become an admin; prior to that I had just participated in lots of discussions. Sometime in summer feel free to reach back out to me and I will be happy to give you another assessment of where you stand for a possible RfA. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 04:24, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
@Barkeep49: Ah, good to know. Thank you for the offer, I will definitely reach out to you. I'm definitely gonna try my hand at content creation, and I’ll try to bring some articles up to GA (and maybe even FA, but that’s down the road). I’ll also try to participate in a bunch of RfCs and RMs, so I can get a feel for them, and then I can start closing them when the time is right. As well, I’ll also be an avid participant at AfD. Thanks for all the tips! D💘ggy54321 (xoxo😘) 12:28, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

AFD

Doubt

@Doggy54321: greetings. I don't know what the concept of "Years active" is on Wikipedia because I thought it was taken into account after the artist released her first song. Someone already cleared mine with Taylor Swift, but I checked The Weeknd's article and it says he was active since 2010 because he uploaded his songs to YouTube without signing any contracts. Since I am currently working on the Dua Lipa article I have doubts about whether to state that Lipa has been active since 2013 when TAP Management offered her a salary to leave her job and concentrate on making music or since 2014 when she signed her record deal with Warner Bros. Records. I want to clarify that this has nothing to do with her signing date with Warner Bros. Records which apparently has already been resolved. Alexismata7 (talk) 13:52, 19 February 2021 (UTC) Alexismata7 (talk) 13:52, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

@Alexismata7: Thanks for coming to me! To be honest, I’m also confused when it comes to years active. I’m pinging as they were the one to respond back to you, so maybe they can answer your question. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 14:01, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
@Alexismata7: Thanks for the ping, Doggy54321. {{Infobox musical artist}} only briefly mentions years active as Period(s) during which the act was or has been active. For singers, I believe "active" year began when they first either signed with a label to officially launch a career, or self-released a song without the need of a label. Given The Weeknd had been an independent artist, it is fair to say he has been active since 2010. For Lipa, however, I do not believe she had released any song before officially signing in 2014. If she did release some songs in 2013, however, then it can be a valid reason to change. (talk) 15:22, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the answer , I had written to you on your talk page but I read that you were semi-retired and I assumed that I would not get a prompt response. Indeed, Lipa did not release any material before signing with Warner in 2014. I will take Taylor Swift's article as an example, because when it was promoted as Featured Article in October 2016 they took into account her active career since she signed in 2004. Alexismata7 (talk) 16:45, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello, Doggy54321, I see that you're interested in music-related articles so is it possible that you could help me bring Hot Pink to GA status? There's already a review and I've completed about half of it. Thanks in advance! versacespacetalk to me 07:14, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

@VersaceSpace: Hey! Sorry for the late reply, I was very busy yesterday. While I don’t exactly know the process of GA and how to "complete" it, I’ll read the guidelines and understand soon enough. If you could clarify what we need to "complete", whether that be copyediting the article to fit GA standards, completing the review, etc, that would be great (and save me from confusion). Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 15:58, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
After reading the guidelines at WP:GA, I’ll continue solving the list of problems. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 16:29, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
You seem like a smart person so you probably know what to do, but in case you don't all you have to do is look at the recommended changes on the talk page. I've done about half of it, I'll probably do more when I have time. Best of luck! @Doggy54321:. versacespacetalk to me 05:59, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@VersaceSpace: I humbly agree. I’ve already made sure a couple sections are done and have indicated that on the review page, and I’ll get to most of them today. Thanks for the invite, the world of GA is so much more fun than I thought it would be. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 11:34, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

I'm trying to create a new article, but need help.

Hey! I'm trying to create and start on the article Nothing Happens Overnight for an album, but it shows me that the page doesn't exist. I thought it was supposed to redirect to Trav (musician) as he was the one who made the album. Is there a way that you can fix that? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:1113:2C40:A05C:393E:C419:6FE8 (talk) 06:22, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Hey! I’ll definitely redirect the article for you. Redirects aren’t automatic, they have to be manually created, and only autoconfirmed users can create pages, so you won’t be able to create the page yourself. I’ll do it for you, though. Thanks for coming to me! If you have any other requests/questions, don’t hesitate to ask me. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 11:36, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Alright, that's cool. I also want to ask you if you could move the article Unbothered into Unbothered (album). This is because "unbothered" is an English word and should also be used as a disambiguation page that I plan to create because there are a few more articles on Wikipedia that have Unbothered in it, like Unbothered (Tori Kelly song).

Please be aware that the requesting /64 is now blocked for a year. Further information: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rishabisajakepauler. Certes (talk) 11:58, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@Certes: Thank you. I saw some suspicious behaviour and decided not to respond to their request. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 12:37, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello

Hi there - not sure of the best way to go about this, so apologies in advance if I'm getting it all wrong! I'm writing an article about superfans who help to maintain pop stars' wikipedia pages and would love to speak with you about the work you're doing. Let me know the best way to get in touch? Happy to share my contact details with you privately if that suits you. WFP.wiki (talk) 17:05, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

@WFP.wiki: Hey! Thank you so much for reaching out! I would love to be interviewed. Since this is a matter nor strictly related to Wikipedia, I’d prefer if this was handled off-wiki. Registering an email on Wikipedia is the best way to communicate off-wiki. Please follow the instructions at WP:EMAIL and go from there. Once you have email registered, please go to Special:EmailUser/Doggy54321 and write me a brief email just confirming you have followed all the instructions so far. Do not disclose any personal info in this email as Wikipedia logs this (only a small group of people can see this, don’t worry). I’ll respond (they don’t log the responses) and we can go from there. If you have any questions about the process, do not hesitate to ask. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:58, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello! I swapped the CSD template on this file back to CSD F4 (no source, no license) as that applies better. For something to have a credible fair-use claim it needs to have both a copyright template and a fair-use rationale (see Wikipedia:Non-free_content#Implementation). A file without any source or licensing information whatsoever can be tagged under CSD F4 which is a clearer criterion. Thanks! ƒirefly ( t · c ) 10:40, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

@Firefly: That makes sense. With either criterion, the image will be deleted within seven days, so I’m not worried about which one is used. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 13:07, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
Indeed - ultimately it doesn't make much practical difference, but it's generally best to use the CSD that fits 'the facts' the best. Thanks! ƒirefly ( t · c ) 13:10, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

Would you mind checking if I am doing this right? thanks 48Pills (talk) 22:20, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

@48Pills: You are doing it correctly, but just make sure to specify why the source is unreliable in the edit summary. Providing a link to WP:CHARTS#Websites to avoid or copy-pasting the reason why it is unreliable is better. In the case of mariah-charts, the reason is "Fan site, indeterminate methodology", so your edit summary could be "mariah-charts.com is a fan site and uses indeterminate methodology (per WP:CHARTS#Websites to avoid", so whoever reads your edit summary can’t call your bluff. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:27, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

I have requestd Semi-protection: for the page due to the High level of IP vandalism. This will put an end to these unregistered users trying to claim we are vandalising the page. 48Pills (talk) 00:06, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

@48Pills: Thanks, I appreciate it! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:27, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

I think I just pinged you on Jack's talkpage because we don't know how to set up a search for the correct articles, like you did with the term "chartdata" on articles with Mariah-charts.com 48Pills (talk) 02:48, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

@48Pills: I didn’t get the ping but I’ll be right there. With regard to Evanescence discography, I’ve tagged the chartdata source with {{unreliable source}} as a compromise, so the IP can still have the source be present but you, Jack and I can still have all the viewers know that the source is unreliable. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 02:53, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

There was definitely some sock-puppetry going on there. With You, me, Jack and Fred all removing that same bad source it took 4 different ISP's to revert our edits, mine within a minute or two. 48Pills (talk) 03:08, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

I wouldn’t call it sockpuppetry, because many IPs are dynamic, meaning they change regularly. As well, any admin would see that they are all from the same geolocation and make the same types of edits, so it’s not rocket science either. But, it’s a little challenging to grasp how they manage to change IPs seemingly at will. That doesn’t matter, as anyone who has been on Wikipedia enough can clearly see that they are all from the same person, like you just did. Thanks for the update, though! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 03:11, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

worldmusicawards.com

So, just those articles found under the "News" section? 48Pills (talk) 03:47, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

@48Pills: Yep, just the "News" section. I’ll update the insource link so that it only includes that section. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 11:52, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

Doggy54321 For me, worldmusicawards.com/index.php/news produces the same search results as worldmusicawards, and this is a major problem for this task, for any inline search, all non-alpha characters are treated like separators for the words formed by what is leftover. 48Pills (talk) 21:05, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

@48Pills: I know what the problem is. Use {{in source|"worldmusicawards.com/index.php/news"}} and it should work. The quotes around the text are used so that the search results only consist of exactly what is in the quotation. But: no need to worry, the news section of WMA has been removed from all articles (the insource search comes up empty). Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:00, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

Tut, tut, then it should be strikethroughed... 48Pills (talk) 22:08, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

@48Pills: Done. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:13, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
