Xbox 720[edit]

So in order for it to be an article, I have to type it in my own words? --Archcaster (talk) 22:38, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, you need to have reliable sources. As it stands, right now, Xbox 720 as a name is nothing more than rumor. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. --GSK 22:49, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How did you put the background on your user page? I couldn't find how to do it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Archcaster (talkcontribs) 23:25, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of CSS and dividers. When I'm not on Wikipedia, I'm designing and developing websites and apps. --GSK 23:53, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My recent user page edit[edit]

My recent user page edit was not an attempt to spread malicious content. It is an in-joke and a reference to the Code Red computer worm. Soda Drinker (talk) 23:10, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I advise against linking to such websites on something like Wikipedia, even if they are "in-jokes" or "references." This is an encyclopedia, not a social network. --GSK 23:13, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

EA Games F1C Challenge edition.[edit]

Hello. Sorry for the inconveniences in the edition of the EA Games F1C Challenge game page. This is my first day here as a user, and I don't making Spam of the Ea Games F1C game, instead of a modification (mod) of the community for the game. But don't worry I understand that is not possible, and I will not add anymore. Instead, is strange, how other guys did the same some time ago, and until now, they are not banned. I refer to the guys that add the modification called F1C 1989-2013. Today they add this modification at least 10 times, erasing mine too. I hope you can clear me that. Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jalnervion (talkcontribs) 01:23, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please can you tell me why JuanMaMaster can post spam of an illegal mod that contains illegal conversions of F1 2010-2012 by Codemasters, and I can't post a legal mod? Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jalnervion (talkcontribs) 01:27, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've been reverting their edits too. I can't revert edits to that article anymore, but JuanMaMaster has received a final warning, and if they add the mod again, they will likely be blocked. GSK 01:29, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again.

Question 1: Can I add the name of a mod without post a link, so the people can search the mod over the net? Question 2: There is a way to add text without other users can delete my entrance and overwrite with their?

Thanks you in advance. Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jalnervion (talkcontribs) 01:36, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Only if it has received significant coverage on reliable websites, and you must cite those sources.
  2. No.

EA Games F1C Challenge edition.[edit]

Hello again. Please, can you tell me, why in this post http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EA_Sports_F1_series, Juanma can edit and put links to a mod of the game, and I was banned to do the same?

Can you tell me how to erase my account in Wikipedia, because I think are not the same rules for all?

Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jalnervion (talkcontribs) 19:56, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have not been blocked. JuanMaMaster was blocked for a period of time, and I believe that blocked has since expired. However, if you really want to leave Wikipedia, then all you need to do is just leave. You can request an administrator to "vanish" your account, but you need to read this entire article first. I think indeed that you made a mistake, the link toward a CC-by-sa graphic scheme sumarizing the Google Glass technology seems quite relevant. Yug (talk) 17:02, 20 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello GSK. Thank you for your efforts regarding the edit war at the Bobs Burger article. IMO the RFPP decline was ill advised at best and I have noted it as such. Comment + Active Worlds[edit]

hello, you may wish to know that I have commented on your post at the Administrator's incident noticeboard.

i am also concerned about the reversion of User:Intelligent Deathclaw's edits (which i have just seen now have been undone, hmm). in principle, i disagree that Intelligent Deathclaw's edits should have been made under the influence of WP:COI, however at the same time I feel his edits were not without merit. a lot of content and references edited out had referenced the ActiveWiki, which based on personal experience, is not a reliable source. I had experienced the same issue with User:Roy Curtis/Cloud Party, which resulted in a speedy delete.

i would say the removal should be kept, although perhaps they were too sweeping based on emotions admitted by Intelligent Deathclaw. should a third party be invited to look at this? -- Roy Curtis (talk) 03:45, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Probably. I think Deathclaw has too much of a COI to be further involved with the article. GSK 03:46, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think we both have too much of a COI to be further involved. Intelligent Deathclaw (talk) 03:48, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I hate to bring it up again, but I wasn't the one with an agenda and a vendetta. I'm willing to WP:FORGIVE, but there are some things I can't forget easily. GSK 03:50, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Are you saying I'm the only one with a COI? I've looked up your edits to the article and even beyond Wikipedia. You do share an interesting history with AW, to say the least. Intelligent Deathclaw (talk) 03:58, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say you're the only one with a COI. In fact, I even acknowledged my COI on the nomination. Yes, my history with AW is interesting. I'm not sure why it's your concern. But if you want to reveal things, be my guest: what username did your father go by in AW? I'd love to know. Really though, I would. GSK 04:01, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable source[edit]

" A reliable news source is ALWAYS better for references than a forum."

It might sound a bit egoistic, but I am a reliable source myself for PS Vita updates. I even got this update as the first person, since I have some scripts to fetch it.

Also the source which was provided at first was kinda a no-name forum. Better stick to the known forums, if they have threads/news about a FW.

You should really take a look at WP:RS because everything you said just went against that specific policy. GSK 04:41, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I did not deserve to be blocked on the Halo 4 page[edit]

I was trying to please two people at once, I listed the writer, and sourced him, The1337Gamer (another moderator like yourself) wanted all the writers listed, so I listed them all, but needed a new source to prove that the additional writers that I added. But you did not aprove of that source, and I couldn't find an individual source for each writer. So I compiled several sources together on a blog. I was trying to please two moderators at once.

I feel that my blocking was unjust and even though my source was not acceptable as you deemed it, it was still accurate, and my intentions were good. I spent alot of time trying to prove this, and my sources have been accurate, compare both my source http://halo4writersfoundincredits.blogspot.ca/2013/08/the-writers.html and your source http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/11/09/halo-4-is-a-beautiful-tragic-love-story/, both confirm Christopher Schlerf as the senior writer. My source was indeed accurate. I was not trying to vandalize. I was simply to list the writers to satisfy The1337Gamer, and then you wanted sources for them all and I tried to satisfy your demands by listing them all on a blog with proof (wich was indeed accurate), I was just trying to make everyone happy and then you blocked me from that page.

Despite my source not being "acceptable" by wikipedia's standards, the fact still remains that they were accurate.

I apologize for this misunderstanding, but it gets frusterating after I spent alot of time and effort to prove my sources. I find this unfair, I was blocked for having good intentions, I request that you unblock me please. As I don't think that you understood my intentions.

Lets apologize to each other for this misunderstanding, and shake hands like good men.

Please reply when you get thisEditorguy117 (talk) 08:00, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with your source is that you created it, therefore it cannot be accurate or reliable. Furthermore, you haven't been blocked yet. I highly recommend you read WP:RS and WP:SELFPUBLISH entirely. Additionally, The1337Gamer and myself are not moderators nor administrators. We are both volunteers like every other editor on Wikipedia. However, if you choose to add your blog again (or another unreliable source), I will report you to WP:AIV and the administrators there will decide whether or not to block you. GSK 08:05, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If I am a volunteer as well, then how come you and The1337Gamer have power over me? And what if The1337Gamer comes up and reverts edits due to the minor additional writers not being included. I feel the writer should be included, but I can't find a source to bring them back that will please you. I can't please both of you. What makes him more right than you, or you more right than him, or the two of you more right than me, or me more right than the two of you. If we are all eaquals who gets the final say? It's like having an army when everyone is the general. All I know is that right now, I do not feel like an eaqual at all, where is my say? Editorguy117 (talk) 08:24, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And not to complain, but why hasn't WP:AGF been applied to me at all? Editorguy117 (talk) 08:29, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Everyone on Wikipedia is equal. The problem here is that everything needs to have a reliable source. Everything. Articles, blogs, sites, whatever that you create yourself are not at all reliable. If you use reliable sources from well-established blogs and websites, then there's no problem. If you use blogs you create yourself or random YouTube videos, then there will be a problem. As for AGF, I've been trying to assume good faith with you, even taking time out of my life to guide you to the appropriate links so you can become familiar with policy, and yet you continue to ignore them. How about you actually read the policy links I've posted above and get a familiarity with how things are run here? If you'll notice, I haven't once lost my cool or attacked you negatively in any way. I'm only here to help guide you in the right direction, but if you continue to blatantly ignore policy, then I will report you. Simple enough. GSK 08:32, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

iOS 7[edit]

Hi there! Regarding my edit/your revert, I haven't been able to find documentation on iOS 7 running on iPod Touch as of yet. Do you have details of whether the compass app will be available on the iPod Touch? I know the image can't be of it running on iPad, but the ratio does allow for iPod Touch, and I've not been able to confirm or deny the compass' existence on that hardware. There's no hardware limitation stopping it being available, so I went with the safest option (removing the iPhone specificity) to cover the statement against OR for now. What are your thoughts on this?  drewmunn  talk  16:36, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Partial scratch that, see what you mean about signal bars also. A 4G iPod is unlikely…  drewmunn  talk  16:37, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The Compass app won't be available on iPod touch (lack of hardware), and the Phone app will never be added to the iPod touch (obviously). Having an iPod touch (5th generation) myself, I'm able to run iOS 7 on it. As far as a source goes, even Apple's website notes the 5th generation iPod touch runs iOS 7. GSK 19:30, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Both the iPad and iPod seem to have compass functionality (in third-party apps, even when disconnected from networks), so I was working on the assumption that it's possible the compass app may work on iPod. I've not got the hardware to test iOS 7 on the iPod platform, so I was unable to test that theory myself, and not much was available when I performed a cursory Google search. I knew iOS 7 would support iPod, I just couldn't test it. As for the phone app, I was again assuming its existence was a possibility, as FaceTime audio-only can be initiated from there, and although it's not on the iPad version, you can never predict Apple... Anyway, that was my thinking at the time. As you've confirmed the compass and phone apps aren't on the iPod version, those issues are resolved; it must be on the iPhone platform, although whether it's 5 is not clear...  drewmunn  talk  21:01, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
iPhone 5 is the only one thus far that has a 4-inch display, which is the resolution of the screenshot. 4 inch displays have five icon rows; the others have four. GSK 04:10, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that, but Apple have been known to test hardware internally, and as this is pre-release software, there is also nothing to say that the image isn't either a mockup or taken from a simulator. I just think it's a little presumptuous to assume it must be a 5 as that's the only hardware we can run iOS 7 on so it looks as it does in the mockup.  drewmunn  talk  07:59, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Duckism - Chinese Community[edit]

Hi there, you flagged my article as Duckism. I am not sure what that means? I tried looking it up but I get some weird stuff.

Can you advise how this article can be changed then? As I want to record in wikipedia the start history of the organization and the objectives.

ps. I read the terms here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations . I am not sure which parts cross it. Can you assist or advise me on this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsunamie (talkcontribs) 21:56, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your article was not flagged as Duckism. You or someone else on your account created an article named Duckism in 2008, which was later deleted. I marked Chinese Community for deletion because it did nothing except promote a non-notable organization. The article has since been deleted, and I don't recommend recreating it. GSK 21:58, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So can you define non-notable and notable for me so I know. As you seem to have gone through my history and deleted all the organizations I volunteered for as requested speedily deletion of them. I basically want to know since I think it's kind of blurry line. Especially if I want to do a page for the Chinese Community Center or note why you haven't deleted https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Information_and_Advice_Centre? Where does something become notable or is this a simple matter of it hasn't become notable to you? As I feel raising around £10K for charity is notable, however that could just be me.

Actually, while that article may be notable, it's unambiguous advertising and full of copyright infringement, so it has been nominated for deletion. As for notability, please read WP:N. GSK 09:21, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So how do I rewrite the article so that it does not fall under you term "unambiguous advertising" for both pages? Also, can you point out which parts break copyright infringement?

Don't write it like a press release. Include reliable sources and be sure to cite them. You might want to check out WP:NEWPAGE. As for copyright infringement, anything you yourself did not create constitutes as copyright infringement, unless you have verifiable proof from the copyright owner that it is allowed to be used on Wikipedia. GSK 18:05, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  1. I included the organizations website as the source of the information, was that not correct?
  2. I copied the template from another non profit organizations wiki page and followed there format. I can set it up again copying oxfam's template again if you want. just to show you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxfam
  3. How do you wish me to prove it? I can get an email from the founders if you want. Do I just post that on the wiki page as well so I can copy their charter? this seems highly extra, given it's on there own website as an open charter. I help write that charter at the meeting. so does that mean I am still causing copy write infringement?

This is a little frustrating as you have deleted two pages I have written which seem to follow your format. How are they Advertisements if they simple say when they were started, the aims and objectives of the organizations and why they are doing what they doing? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsunamie (talkcontribs) 18:22, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DCA edit reversal[edit]

While I appreciate your dedication to the preservation of Wikipedia as an encyclopedic reference, I am a bit taken back to your removal or reversal of edits without first discussing the issue. Your comment indicated you feel the edit was Spam/advertising. The very reason for an encyclopedia is to give out accurate reference information, and this is what I did. I noticed another user entered info on The Hidden Mickey phenomonon, and this was verified with a news article. With my relationship in Disney I know this is a verifiably accurate phenomonon in the new DCA park, and to include a reference to a book that documents this is not spam, nor is it advertising. When you stop and consider the entry of the Disney California Adventure park, according to your loose interpretation, this entry could also be considered to be advertising, since Disney benefits from the entry. But here it is in Wiki. Rather than reverse the edit without discussion, why not show a little respect to the other editors by discussing an issue that concerns you first. Thank You. Rrodrigue (talk) 04:45, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fine. I'll humor you.
  1. You have a conflict of interest ("With my relationship in Disney").
  2. Your username implies a connection with Nancy Temple Rodrigue, and a substantial number of your edits reflects that connection.
  3. Your edits are purely promotional, as seen here, here, here, here, and here.
  4. In fact, I'd go as far as to say you and User:Disneytree are the same person, considering how extremely similar your editing patterns are.
  5. Sure, let's call it a verified phenomenon. Great. Feel free to include it, but not as an advertisement for an author's book series. If the Hidden Mickey phenomena is covered in reliable news sources, then that's fine, but Wikipedia is not a soapbox for you to promote books.
GSK 06:46, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cool, you'll humor me, wow what a treat.... really, are we that childish? I do thank you for responding ,but let's show a little respect please. This forum is not a license to bully people into thinking your way or no way. We differ on every issue you raised but I really don't care to fight about it. I have made edits just a few times in the few years I have been a registered editor, and I felt my edits were valued edits that fit the rules of Wiki. I even had a few registered editors assist me so my edits were correct. This is an encyclopedia format, but it appears you feel it within your right to censor without discussion. Don't worry, I won't bother to edit anything else, you win, so I hope you feel better now. As for all your charges, they are rubbish, but think what you want.Rrodrigue (talk) 15:11, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I could have handled my response better, so I apologize for that. My reasoning still stands however, your edits are promotional because a majority of them do nothing but add information about this book series, without multiple verifiable third party sources, to several articles. I, and I'm sure others, would not have an issue if it were limited to the Hidden Mickey article because having it there does make sense, but you would have to cover virtually every Disney article at the rate you've been going, which is going to create more problems than it solves. I see the content was added back to Hidden Mickey, and I'm not going to touch it, outside of possibly refining its presentation, because, as I said previously, it makes sense having it in that article. So again, I apologize for how I originally treated your message. It was uncivil of me and absolutely unwarranted. GSK 01:40, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. You mentioned I may have a connection to Nancy Temple Rodrigue so I looked at that page. I noticed you or someone else wanted a reference to a statement on books sold so I found a press release on the publisher site verifying the 20k sold. In the process I also noticed a few of her other books were not noted, so I added them as references. I would appreciate it if you could look my edit over and letting me know if I did it correctly. ThanksRrodrigue (talk) 18:59, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. The behavior of this user came to my attention when he removed a cleanup template I had added to an article. He made no attempt to address the concern, nor did he leave a message explaining why he removed the template. I went back and checked his prior edits and found he had repeatedly behaved in this manner despite multiple previous warnings. I wanted to discuss it with him, but his talk page clearly showed that he never responds to messages. Hence I instead posted a limited audit trail of level 3 warnings for future reference, which you have now removed. Now I would appreciate if you could tell me how I did not assume good faith here? In what sense was his behavior good? Praemonitus (talk) 23:47, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You should have really posted one warning for the last relevant edit he made, not a flood of five or six level three warnings. As for not assuming good faith, I didn't say nor imply his behavior was good, because it wasn't. That doesn't mean you need to repeat his behavior. GSK 00:09, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If your concern was simply the number, then I shall just replace them with a single merged message. Thanks for the clarification. Praemonitus (talk) 01:35, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To continue, how would you recommend I handle this edit today? Or this? Or this? Thank you. Praemonitus (talk) 01:46, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd recommend issuing a level four warning for those three, and if the user does it again, report to AIV. GSK 02:06, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Praemonitus (talk) 02:19, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article Feedback Tool update[edit]

Hey GSK. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:59, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia isn't the place for such an announcement unless such an issue has received widespread reliable news coverage. As far as I could tell, you only mentioned two blogs, one of which seemed to be a personal website more than a reliable news source. Hi

I'm the guy who change the the "The X-Files: I Want to Believe: Original Motion Picture Score". You were completely right. I, like a dumbass, forgot to add any comment to my changes. I stupidly thought that the changes themselves would be self-evident, but on later reflection that would make no sense since that would make vandalism and other mischief too easy. I therefore humbly ask as non-registered user, who has a lot of time on his hands, to either let me revert the revert/re-add the previous change with an explaination long enough to fit in the comment field or a pointer to a better music list layout which will then be added to the wiki page with the same comment attached to it. I imagine it was because the article had no references, or the importance or significance of the artist wasn't established. Ringdroid[edit]

Hi, can you please explain more why you posted the speedy deletion message for Ringdroid? Thank you. Beakermeep (talk) 07:33, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Three of the references are of the Google Code project and its Play Store link. The article also relies heavily on promotion, and violates WP:YOU. The article also does not indicate why its inclusion is important. See A7 and G11. gsk 07:36, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reply, AFAIK, WP:YOU is not grounds for speedy deletion. As for why this app is important is twofold: It is one of the oldest open source apps on Android, and it provided a springboard for many developers. I am looking for source for the second part now. I was in the process of adding the stub label to the article when you nominated this. As for the WP:YOU, stuff, I would appreciate any help you could provide. And the Play store links referenced the material in the sentence they were being a reference for (such as number of users). Beakermeep (talk) 07:50, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say WP:YOU was grounds for speedy. I nominated the article based on A7 and G11, which I linked to above. gsk 07:51, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I disagree with G11, and I would be happy to make it more neutral, but am unsure what parts specifically to rewrite. I have noticed that you recently left a message on my talk page regarding the dispute that I got into with user Emaren19.

I feel I have been completely reasonable to user Emaren19, however some of the things that he wrote on my talk page was rather harassing and rude.

I would also like to point out that iOS 7 has received mostly positive reviews, I clearly stated this and asked user Emaren19 to discuss it on the talk page before editing it. However he continued in what I think of as disruptive editing, plus started leaving me harassing and rude messages on my talk page.

I honestly don't care about the issues you and the other editors are having. All I did was send a warning for coming close to violating 3RR. That is absolutely no reason to go after me. gsk 07:16, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'd made 1/one reversion when I received your message. I call that coming after me, so to speak. Tapered (talk) 07:32, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The other editor had reverted twice at that time. What was I supposed to conclude when you sent me an edit warring notice? Tapered (talk) 07:59, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You've actually made three reverts ([2], [3], [4]). When I warned you, you had made two reverts. The third came after my warning. gsk 09:25, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'd forgotten the first revert, and in any event would have understood that I'd made it on the previous day and wouldn't be grouped with the other reverts. (I assume that's a mistake). You'll also notice that I undid the initial revert, and instead altered the material slightly and moved it to a new location in the article. Even more so, considering that the MattyB and Mattyb articles have been deleted under WP:CSD#A7 six times total, once within the last week. It's unlikely their notability has changed. gsk 06:33, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Query.[edit]

Good Afternoon! I am aGastya and I wish to ask you why my edit about iPod Classic has been reverted? As you own Apple products you may be knowing the slogan of iPod classic but you said it is not important! I've entered no wrong information and if the gadget is discontinued, that doesn't mean the slogan wasn't important. And Apple got huge profit by iPod classic, let the slogan shown on its Wikipedia page. aGastya 08:16, 13 September 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by AgastyaC (talkcontribs)

The infoboxes on articles do not have fields that display a slogan or tagline. You can add one for as many articles as you want, but no one will see it unless they go to edit the article itself. gsk 08:22, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's me aGain! iPhone 6's Wikipedia page has its slogan in the infobox then iPod why not iPod! — Preceding unsigned comment added by AgastyaC (talkcontribs) 08:33, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I stand corrected. Apparently the infobox on iPhone 6 is different than the infoboxes on the iPod articles because the former displays a slogan while the latter does not. gsk 08:34, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thank you for the information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AgastyaC (talkcontribs)

TVGN[edit]

Hi Gsk, I Was trying to update the logo for the Pop Channel that is launching tomorrow. Why was it reverted?Cyclone39 (talk) 23:44, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because it was a PNG logo, which I have uploaded properly. JPG's should not be used for logo images. Nate (chatter) 16:33, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Need help[edit]

i have used your codes (sbox codes) in my userpage, and created 8 categories of userboxes.
those userboxes are collapsible and thus when clicked on [show] they open: but create a mess to the page!
please help fixing it: probably adding a scroll option in it will make it sensible! but i have no idea how to! can you fix it for me?
thanks!

Combis[edit]

Dear GSK, because I am writting an article for Combis I want to allow Wikipedia to use the text, and I will verify it. Combis agrees that the text may be freely redistributed and used, it may be freely modified. Can you please tell me, where I need to send that explanation and will you give me some time to do it, and not delete my work on Wikipedia? --Integrator 30 (talk) 09:56, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I denied your speedy deletion request for this article. This individual is the current sitting president of Fuller Theological Seminary, which has more than 4,000 students. This easily surpasses Wikipedia:Notability_(academics)#Specific_criteria_notes #6. At a minimum, this is sufficient evidence of notability to require an AfD submission rather than a speedy deletion. --Hammersoft (talk) 20:20, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Understood. When I nominated for speedy, this was the revision I saw. GSK (tc) 23:17, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yeah I kinda figured we crossed edits. No worries. --Hammersoft (talk) 23:45, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar[edit]

I didn't even put that, I am just trying to change "toHD" to "to HD". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Octane154 (talkcontribs)

Your edit didn't change anything related to "to HD." On the contrary, your edit introduced a spelling error. Also, when you leave messages on someone's page, please sign your messages. Thanks. GSK (tc) 03:12, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
A barnstar for you. Because of your hard work: working with codes, and making some beautiful stuff (sbox and Card). I really loved to see that those simple codes could lead to amazing outcome. And that what makes it special... aGastya  ✉ Dicere Aliquid :) 21:00, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, GSK. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect GFACE. Since you had some involvement with the GFACE redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Lordtobi () 14:13, 28 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
