Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Juraci and Nadi has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://phreeque.tripod.com/nadir_juraci.html (matching the regex rule tripod\.com).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:23, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ganga and Jamuna Mondal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Juraci and Nadi Climerio de Oliverras. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Sheogorath (talk) 19:10, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Williamsport Billies

[edit]

The article Williamsport Billies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough information to be worth an article, and not formatted as an article, just a few bullet points.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD (talk) 19:56, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Juraci and Nadi Climerio de Oliverras, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://phreeque.tripod.com/nadir_juraci.html, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under allowance license, then you should do one of the following:

It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Juraci and Nadi Climerio de Oliverras saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:12, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia articles don't start with a set of bullet points. Please format your articles properly.

Please also remember that someone might land on the page by hitting "Random article", so make sure that the article says what it's about - in this case the fact that they were an American baseball team. It's not obvious.

I've fixed up this article while stub-sorting, but please give us the information in future. Thanks. PamD (talk) 15:58, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Harlem Clowns requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please stop adding bullet point lists to articles. There are infobox templates you can use such as {{Defunct MiLB infobox}} and others in the category Category:Baseball infobox templates. Each article must have a lead sentence which tells the reader what the team, or whatever the subject is, actually is: "x was an American minor league baseball team in somecity, somestate, from yyyy to zzzz". Continuing to create malformed articles is disruptive behaviour. PamD (talk) 19:59, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Alexander City Millers, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/Alexander_City_Millers. OK, as has been pointed out, the baseball-reference site has a licence which allows you to copy their material into Wikipedia with no breach of copyright - sorry, I got that wrong. But that doesn't mean that their pages make acceptable WP pages with no amendment. Because that site is all about baseball, they don't need to say that a team is a baseball team. On Wikipedia you do. It may be convention on that site to start an article with a set of bullet points: it isn't acceptable on WP - we need a real sentence which tells us about the team. So you can legally copy their pages, but you need to improve them before they're OK for Wikipedia. PamD (talk) 21:24, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Minor league teams, categories, etc

[edit]

Hi. I've noticed you've been creating a lot of articles and categories for minor league baseball teams, players, etc. I urge you to take a look around at pre-existing team articles to see what kind of style they should have. Bulletpoints at the beginning of an article go against wikipedia policy. Prose should be used instead. Take a look at Nashville Sounds, Kinston Indians, or Youngstown Ohio Works. These are good examples of what minor league team articles should look like.

Also, when creating categories for minor league affiliates, please note that "minor league affiliates" should not be capitalized. Neither should "managers" or other terms; only proper nouns. Furthermore, Category:Minor League Teams should not be used. Instead, use categories that show the actual league the team played in (ex Category:Defunct International League teams.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask; I'll be happy to answer. -NatureBoyMD (talk) 19:01, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:LIArena.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 04:07, 9 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 04:07, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Ghgfhgfh.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ghgfhgfh.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:06, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Challenge for Oceania and Australia

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Oceania/The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/The 5000 Challenge are up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. The Australia challenge would feed into the wider region one and potentially New Zealand could have a smaller challenge too. The main goal is content improvement, tackling stale old stubs and important content and improving sourcing/making more consistent but new articles are also welcome if sourced. I understand that this is a big goal for regular editors, especially being summertime where you are, but if you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Oceania and Australia like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1700 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for the region but fuelled by a series of contests to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. The Africa contest scaled worldwide would naturally provide great benefits to Oceania countries, particularly Australia and attract new editors. I would like some support from existing editors here to get the Challenges off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile and potentially bring about hundreds of improvements in a few weeks through a contest! Cheers.♦ --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you sometimes add strange, unrelated passages to articles and then immediately revert yourself. What's that about? TarkusABtalk/contrib 04:14, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Kinston Professional Baseball Hall of Fame has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet the GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
