File permission problem with File:Prachi SInha stills.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Prachi SInha stills.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:55, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Karan Raj Kanwar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Producer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Deletion discussion about Prachi Sinha[edit]

Hello, Pankaj1506,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Prachi Sinha should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Prachi Sinha .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Your contributed article, Manish Vatsalya (Director)[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Manish Vatsalya (Director). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Manish Vatsalya. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Manish Vatsalya – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. 220 of Borg 12:16, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

'Cut-and-Paste' move[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Manish Vatsalya a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. 220 of Borg 12:22, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dussehra creative oster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

Competence[edit]

You have been repeatedly creating poor articles using dreadful unreliable sources that often do not support the statements you make. You've also been uploading dubious images as "own work" and edit warring in a manner that obviously means you have seen the reason why your material was removed. You've created articles about non-notable subjects, walked right through WP:CRYSTAL, WP:CREATE etc and ignored a decision made at WP:AFD by almost immediately reverting the consensus to redirect. You've also been editing while logged out and you almost certainly are a sockpuppet.

Just assuming for now that the last turns out to be incorrect, please could you read the blue links in this message and also WP:CIR. There is a limit to how much patience people will have and you need seriously to improve the quality of your work. Although Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia that anyone can edit, there are rules and if you breach them then you risk losing the ability to make use of that amazing facility as a contributor.

I suspect that you will delete this, as you have some other warnings and advisory notes. You can do that but please note that doing so is deemed to be acknowledgement by you that you have read and understood what I say. - Sitush (talk) 20:40, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, if you want some very specific examples of the problems then I'm happy to give some here. Just let me know. - Sitush (talk) 20:48, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for the unabated addition of unsourced and poorly sourced content to biography articles despite many warnings. You have also uploaded blantant copyright violations, have blanked valid protection templates from articles, and generally edited in a disruptive fashion. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:57, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sahil Rayyan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Manish Vatsalya[edit]

You should not be editing Manish Vatsalya at all because you have admitted to working for him. Please see WP:COI and confine yourself to the article's talk page. - Sitush (talk) 16:01, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not to mention that what you inserted was cut and pasted directly from the Times of India article and is therefore a copyright violation. Any further instances of copyright violations, BLP violations (i.e. the addition of unsourced material to biography articles) or promotional editing will result in a reblock of your account. I think that you will likely find such limitations difficult as I believe the entire purpose of your account is for promotion. Have you read our Terms of Use that prohibit undisclosed editing for financial gain by chance? --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:58, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for disruptive editing and continued BLP violations. Logging out in order to evade sanctions and make the same contentious and policy violating edits is very much disallowed by policy. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Sangram Singh, you may be blocked from editing. NeilN talk to me 19:31, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Sangram Singh shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Ways to improve Harsh Sanghavi[edit]

Hi, I'm Legacypac. Pankaj1506, thanks for creating Harsh Sanghavi!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Every word starts with a capital, and other issues

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Legacypac (talk) 01:22, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Gaurang Doshi[edit]

The article Gaurang Doshi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

seemingly notable for his crime - doesn't warrant an article

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
